While the Gas Station developers are busy fixing things when it comes to the recent release of the Airstrip DLC and the game in general and the Road Diner team is making their game, the designers are right now in the process of finalizing the bonuses that Gas Station Simulator will provide to Road Diner and later Motel Simulator.
There has been quite some interest in those when we first gave you a glimpse into what's coming and now we can finally expand on some of the aspects.
One of the major bonuses will be linked to the level of your gas station. Each level increases the pool and probability of normal customers appearing at the diner and motel. Additionally, every second level of the gas station increases the chance for local and special customers.
Normal customers are just like the customers you know from Gas Station Simulator. Generic folks. Local and special customers are new categories introduced in Road Diner and later Motel Simulator. Local customers are locals with their own backstories who will frequent your establishments a lot more often if you provide the services they are looking for.
Special customers are another new category and this is a big one. These are rare customers with deeply developed backgrounds and dialogs that can leave a lasting impression on you as the player and your establishment by introducing new features and even mechanics.
While local and specials customers will be first introduced in Road Diner, the way this whole "gas station universe" works means they will also find their way to Gas Station Simulator in an update. This way the road diner (and later motel) will also impact your gas station the same way: their levels and expansions will boost the chance for these customers to appear on your gas station.
Another interesting bonus type is being designed for Motel Simulator that will benefit the gas station and the diner as well: local economy. It is a rather complex system, but to greatly simplify it: the expansions and services provided by your motel will encourage spending by customers. So a nicely developed motel will not only boost spending in general, but also increase the tips you receive at your gas station or the diner, too.
It is not all bonuses that we are working on, though. Some penalties will come into play as well. Certain actions may have consequences across all games. To give you an example of a penalty: stealing a lot of stuff from customer trunks on the gas station will influence a variable aptly called LocalSafety that can reduce customer flow at the diner and motel by up to 8% and 15% respectively. When people don't feel safe, some will just choose to drive through rather than stop at your business.

Added an option to reset an employee's position back to their trailer
Expanded the trash collection radius to prevent employee blockage while tidying up
Employees now properly empty full trash cans
Resolved an issue that prevented players from talking to employees
Fixed an issue causing employees to stutter when cleaning an item they wanted to clean themselves

Thanks again for the amount of feedback we continue to gather from you. Thanks to your detailed reports, we have once again tracked down more problems and have already managed to get rid of many of them. Below you will find detailed information on which problems have been fixed while we check and work on the remaining ones.

Fixed an issue with the optimization of the Barn area
Fixed an issue with duplication or disappearance of planes
Fixed an issue with the stuttering of workers on the teleport next to the car wash
Fixed an issue with the blocker when ordering fuel at the airport before the quest associated with it.
Fixed an issue with the blocker related to the "Wait for the customer to arrive at Car Wash" quest, which occurred when it was interrupted by the Airstrip storyline

First of all, we're so, so thankful for the amount of feedback we've gathered already. Thanks to your detailed reports, we've managed to track issues faster, and we've already managed to get rid of many of them. Ok, but it's time to move to the list of issues. Without further ado, let's get started!
Fixed an issue with keybindings for Towy. Make sure that your settings are restored to default. You can also try to do a hard reset by going into %LOCALAPPDATA%/GSS2/Saved/ and delete the Config folder.
Fixed an issue with Joe constantly sitting on the bench during “Taking Off” quest
Fixed an issue with cars blocking each other
Fixed an issue blocking the progress when saving and loading the game on the Deny Plane quest
Fixed an issue blocking the progress when you run out of fuel on the second departure of Joe
Teleport location has changed
Fixed crash associated with aircraft departures
Fixed the problem occurring when saving and loading the game on the quest with the second crash of Joe
Added a button to sell decorations and cabinets
These are the issues that we've managed to fix already, because they were the ones that blocked your progress or caused the game to crush. However, our work won't stop here - we're already working on more fixes, and next hotfix should come in the upcoming days. With the Airport DLC out, we would like to thank you all very much for all the support you have given us. We are naturally reviewing all the feedback you are giving us and seeing to get rid of the issues reported. While we were able to push out a hot fix last night already, we are still working on further fixes and improvements and hope to be able to provide the first patch soon.
We would however love some support in chasing down the causes of some of the issues. If you have a problem, please write us directly to support@drago-entertainment.com and tell us as much as possible about the bug and if it makes sense also describe the circumstances under which it appeared.
If possible, please send us your save game folder. You'll find it in %LOCALAPPDATA%/GSS2/Saved/SaveGames - please zip the entire folder and email it to us. Having your save games available helps us to speed up the process of finding causes for bugs significantly :)

Being honest with you – excitement is slowly getting off the charts. We’re officially one week away from the Airstrip DLC launch! 🔥The amount of different emotions running through my body right now is ridiculous. I’m also curious how you feel, folks? Who is excited for what is yet to come? Comment section is yours! ⬇️
And one more thing – many of you have been asking if you’ll need to cross the road constantly in order to check your airstrip or gas station. Many also have wondered whether this might be causing some troubles on the road. We’d like to address both of these concerns – we’ve added a quite stinky way to fast travel from Airstrip to Gas Station and vice versa. You can check it below and share your thoughts in the comments.
Routastic Event is coming in one week!🤑
Oh… I almost forgot – along with the Gas Station Simulator - Airstrip DLC launch, our Routastic Event will start as well. The event will start on April 26th, 2023 at 7 p.m. and will last till 10th of May, 2023. Airstrip, Road Diner & Motel? Yes!
April, 26th is the day Gas Station Simulator’s Airstrip DLC will arrive. This makes for a great opportunity to let you in on some of our plans regarding DLCs and what role they will play in the grand scheme of things, namely the “gas station universe” consisting of the games Gas Station Simulator, Road Diner and Motel Simulator. We covered how these games will work together and influence each other in the past, but we plan to extend that concept to the DLC as well.
So let’s take our Airstrip DLC as an example here. The DLC features Joe, a new character that the DLC kinda evolves around. The first connection between Airstrip and the Road Diner will be a friend of Joe’s who will hook into Joe’s story and background. He will be a special guests at the Road Diner and later at the Motel, too.
While Joe is the prominent character in the DLC, there are other pilots from all over the world. Pilots that can provide you, among other things, with goods unique to their country or state for your gas station. But those goods will also be useful in the future at the Road Diner and the Motel, which is another example how a DLC will connect to these games.
For the pilots we have even bigger plans, especially for the Motel Simulator. Once we release the game, the Airstrip DLC will get an update that adds the necessary systems from the Motel to these pilots so some of them can become guests at motel. It only makes sense that they need a good night’s sleep before continuing their journey.
Until Road Diner and Motel arrive, we will for sure work out more ways how the expand upon DLCs to make them relevant in the other games, too. Now, they won’t be required. It just about giving some additional bonuses or content if you own them.
In case you missed it in previous announcements, along-side continued development for Gas Station Simulator we are also working on two games that will complement your gas station: Road Diner and Motel. While both are separate games, they are connected with each other as well as Gas Station Simulator. Which makes a lot sense, since they are located close-by.
The road diner is just across the highway and the motel will be close to the side of the gas station. When you own any combinations of those games, they will work together, influence each other, provide bonuses and allow you various interesting interactions. This also means that a lot of things we are creating for the road diner and/or the motel will also be adding additional content and features to Gas Station Simulator in order to make this happen.
Gas Station Simulator will be a part of a Routastic Event
And last but not least – Routastic Event is getting closer and closer, and we've already started a series of giveaways on our social media channels. The event will feature some huge discounts, great bundles, showcase of our & friendly developers' games, and much, much more, so you'd better mark those dates in calendars.
