Hey everyone, we've got some news about April's Act 3 update. It will actually go live slightly later (early in May) as we are going to be adding more content than expected! Besides everything on the roadmap, the update will introduce new talents, extra enemy abilities, and more. Thank you for your patience!

Fixes



  • Fixed enemies not considering tiles' utility properly when deciding where to move. Please note that enemies still see most dangerous tiles as neutral to make it easier to lure them to those tiles.
  • Fixed enemies not moving towards to the Shrine after dealing lethal damage.
  • Fixed the Soul Drain talent not summoning Cursed Spirits if all hexes next to the sacrificed unit are taken.
  • Fixed the start drafting allowing to equip selected skills multiple times after you finish the selection.
  • Fixed Elvish Temples not dealing damage to certain units (happened on very rare occasions).
  • Fixed units being blocked from attacking if they are surrounded by enemies that have too much health.
  • Fixed units contradicting their predictions when they are going to attack (happened on rare occasions, mostly with enemies).
  • Fixed allies giving way to enemies if they are about to approach the Shrine.


Known Issues



  • Prediction directional arrows can sometimes fail to show after using a Fate or Ritual.
  • Enemy units sometimes get stuck moving between two tiles
  • Enemy units sometimes move back and forth even if they're adjacent to the Shrine
  • The gameplay window is allowed to break aspect ratio in ways that cut UI off and make the game hard to play
  • Accessing inspect mode on some tooltips will cancel the skill that is being placed

AI

  • ☄️ Units now consider hexes with too few free adjacent hexes as tactically disadvantageous and less likely enter them.
  • Units no longer get in each other's way when they have a chance to move to an adjacent hex with their target. However, allies can still get in enemies' way and vice versa.
  • Enemies can now reconsider the predicted actions if they have a chance to enter an adjacent hex with the Shrine.

UI

  • ☄️ The pillars for sparks in the Forge are now slightly highlighted with different colors.
  • The Shrine health icon on the upper panel has got an animation.
  • Enemies' outline on the battlefield is now more dense.
  • Mana cost is now displayed next to skill icons on all drafting screens.
  • ☄️ Resource icons in the speed rewards section now have tooltips.
  • Experience icons on the match preparation screen now have tooltips.
  • The starting health is now shown on the Shrine selection screen. Please note that the bonus from the Enhanced Stone boon is also considered.

  • Fixed the battle speed tutorial being displayed even though the player has already managed to change battle speed themselves (happened on rare occasions).
  • Fixed certain damaging effects leading to softblock when they affect the Shrine with lesser health than their damage.
  • Fixed units being stuck moving between two hexes. Similar situations might still happen, but on rare occasions.
  • Fixed Fates triggering on right-click.
  • Fixed allies considering the following tiles as exceptionally beneficial:

    • Cursed Catacomb (Ancient Curse ritual)

  • Fixed Talvius being immune to on death abilities of the units killed by his resurrection explosion.

We're back with another big content update for Godless, with tons of new features, changes, and fixes! Among the new features is the ability to determine a defeated enemy's Fate, giving you an advantage that can help turn the tide of battle, and Ascension, which grants you a unique passive effect once you've chosen enough Fates.   • Added Fates!

    • When an enemy is defeated, you can now decide their Fate at the start of the next turn.
    • Fates are positive effects that can help turn the tide of battle.


  • Added Ascension!

    • Ascension is a new boon that directly relies on Fates.
    • You must unlock this boon in the Library.
    • Every time a Fate is chosen, an Ascension point is added to your total
    • Reach 10 points to Ascend and gain a unique passive effect


    • God of Prosperity (Mercy Points)

      • Whenever an ally is summoned, their health is doubled, but you can't have more than 2 allies in play (not counting the Shrine).


    • God of Blood (Cruelty Points)

      • A Bone Horror is summoned on turn 7. It gains +2/+2 for each unit, enemy or allied, that died in combat.


    • God of War (Honor Points)

      • All allies will retaliate against weaker enemies when attacked, even if they were fatally wounded.

Hey everyone, we've got a hotfix today for you after yesterday's big content update! It features some tutorialization and balance changes as well as other various bug fixes.

Changes


Tutorial

  • The tiles' tutorial message can now be triggered while placing the Shrine.

Balance

  • Talent: Emerald Defender (nature)

    • The talent's use can no longer be cancelled.

Bug fixes



  • When a "Rune Master" (enemy, Act 1) triggers its ability after being moved by a "Sandstorm" (basic tile, Act 2) or a "Gale" (tile, "Storm Wind" ritual), it will no longer lead to softblock.
  • "Visit the previous event" warning text on the world map is no longer overflowing.
  • "Rock Walls" (unit, "Earth Energy" ritual) now correctly display green outline.
  • Rapidly clicking on empty space while dragging a gem no longer leads to the malfunction of the gems' and skills' menus.
  • When a unit dies during its attack, the "Supremacy of Death" (death talent) will no longer try to buff it.
  • "Haunted Villages" (death tile) now affect corrupted units twice while they are standing on them.

  • Now, there are 2 events per path in the tutorial.

Bug fixes



  • Enemies and allies no longer choose to move in another direction, when they have a chance to approach their target.
  • Enemies no longer miss an opportunity to enter a hex of the unit that they just killed (occurred rarely).
  • When a unit is going to die next turn from basic attacks, the prediction system takes it into consideration correctly.
  • Allies' movements no longer contradict predictions.
  • The match preparation screen is now displayed correctly in widescreen resolutions.
  • When a corrupted unit is pushed by a "Sandstorm" (basic tile, Act 2) or a "Gale" (tile, "Storm Wind" ritual) to the tile affected by the "Sacred Emerald" (nature-nature gem), its effect is now triggered correctly.
  • The desert version of the "Training Camp" model (neutral tile) is no longer go beyond its hex.
  • The ability of "Places of Power" (basic tile, all Acts) is now triggered twice when a corrupted unit enters this tile.
  • Applying the "Intimidation" (buff from the "Emerald Defender" nature talent) and the "Regeneration" (buff from the "Gift of the Forest" nature talent) no longer replaces previously applied buffs.
  • Applying the "Intimidation" to an immovable unit as the second or the third buff no longer leads to softblock.
  • When a "Beast" (nature unit) dies as a result of the "Heart of the Volcano" damage (fire-fire gem), it will no longer lead to softblock.
  • The minus signs and spark numbers are now correctly displayed in the Forge in 4K resolution.
  • The "Choose both sparks" hint in the Forge is no longer obscured by the ether exchanging UI.
  • Rituals' names are no longer cut in certain languages.
  • When you interact with tiles' or units' tooltips just before the "Rituals" window appears, the battlefield will no longer remain interactable while the "Rituals" window is opened.
