Little news

Hello!

A lot of work on Update 11! Rather than releasing several small updates I'm going to release a big update at the end of the month with a lot of additions and modifications.

-Addition of the new faction : There's only the UGV drone to finish. All units and buildings are finished.
-I added a skirmish menu for the germans with 2 skirmishes. These are the same as the Polish but with the German faction (Train Station and Fields).
-Addition of the multiplayer, here it is !
-Addition of a free demo: I hadn't planned to make a demo but I could see that a lot of people were interested but didn't take the step of buying it. This demo will allow you to try the game with about 1 hour of play, will be available the tutorial and a polish skirmish mission.
-Work on the effects of some projectiles (light tank, tank).
-Updated the Wiki :
Added a "Germany" column for each unit and building.
Added new German army logos.
Add a new tab "History": discover the context of the game (2 pages available for the moment).
-Correction of unit statistics to make the wiki match the real one.
-Fixed many bugs (projectiles, damage, etc ...).
-Improvement of AI for the classic skirmish mode.
-Changed the font for some parts like the main menu.


Modification of the road map:.
I'm shifting the domination and diplomacy mode for the multiplayer to integrate a save and load system for February.

Story mode:
The first mission is 100% complete!!!!
I finished all the little illustrations for story mode.

After looking at the rates to add voices I chose to give them up. No voice-over for the solo mode.

Next Update

Hello !

No update today, I've mainly been working on the history mode this week and on the next faction.
So I take this opportunity to present you the road map for January and February.

January:
-Add Multiplayer, I'm really sorry for the late. I didn't anticipate the work and skills I needed to develop this part. It is now in the hands of a professional network coder.

-Addition of the German faction in standard camo.
This faction plays a little differently in the collection of resources. You can't build a container but you have access to a new unit : the UGV which will allow you to have a moveable resource storage space.

Vehicles:
New 3D models for all vehicles except the truck.
The truck is the same 3D model as the Polish truck but unarmed.
The buggy is equipped with a grenade launcher and can carry 3 soldiers against 4 soldiers for the other factions.
Not all the textures are done.







-Improving IA.

February:
-Addition of the story mode with 5 missions for a target game time of about 3h30.

-Addition of Winter and Autumn skins for the German faction.

-Addition of diplomacy for the multiplayer mode.

-Addition of a new game mode: Domination. There are 3 flags to capture on the map, once captured each flag earns you 1 point per second. The first team with 2500 points wins the game.
In 1 vs 1 the flags are also the spawn points of the vehicles.
In 2 vs 2 there will be strategic points for the vehicles independently of the flags.

Coop mode
I didn't put it in the road map but I think the cooperation mode will arrive in February, it depends on how much time I spend on the story mode.

Hello,

I hope you had a great Christmas and Happy New Year !
Why wasn't there an update earlier? I had a problem with Unity and I had to redo all the Automn, Winter and CDC units... I also had to redo the Airport and Mountain skirmishes. It is therefore quite possible that the positioning of the enemy units in the 2 skirmishes mentioned above have changed a little.

Maps:
-Tutorial: Review of the objectives to make the tutorial faster.
-Tutorial: Update of the information panels (Cover, Vehicles, Getting Started).
-Airport - PL: Fixed a bug that did not unlock the next mission.
-Bridge : Added new units.
-Hamlet : Added new units.

-Mountain : Fixed a Nav Mesh bug preventing the UAV from moving.

-Lab: Soldier camouflage correction for the winter version (PL & RU).

Story mode:
-Mission 01: 95% finished, I still have the voices to add.

-Mission 02: 60% finished, there's still the script and objective part to do.


-Mission 03: 40% finished the map is finished.


-Mission 04: Finished at 10% the map is in progress.

-Mission 05: Finished at 10% the map is in progress.


AI:
-I didn't take the time to get back on the AI, so it will be fixed in the next update.

Multiplayers:
-Freelance is available for this mouth so he work on this part.

Big Update !

Hello everyone,

Before starting, the game will be at 3.99€ for another week before increasing.
The update is coming this Friday!
Many things in this update, the list below:

Interface:
-Added new interface. The latter has been reworked to fit more closely into the context. It has been reorganized to allow you to have everything in the same place.

You have the possibility to reduce the description and manufacturing panels.

-New logos for all units and buildings. Several players told me that the logos were not intuitive, it should be better now. A color code has also been added.

In red the military units/buildings, in blue the civilians/non-combatants, in green the improvements and in yellow the defences.

-New resources logos.

-New populations logo.

-New orders logos.


Maps:
-Airport: Addition of FX (butterflies, loose leaves, etc...).
-Airport: Russian skirmish: Review of the spawn times of enemy vehicles from 75 seconds to 120 seconds.
-Fields: Fixed coverage area that did not have the new sprites.
-Crossroads: New skirmish: Defend your base against the Russian army.
-Village: New skirmish: Defend the village against the Polish army.
-Mountain: New map! The planned name was Wood but once the map was made it didn't reflect this one. Montain was a more appropriate name. You have a central part with a helicopter crash accessible only with the infantry. The number of vehicles is limited to 8 against 12 on the other maps in 2 players. This maps is designed more for infantry combat. The passage to the south is a cave lit exclusively with green light sticks. I love this place, when your soldiers enter it, their shadows are cast on the walls.



-Mountain: New skirmish: Command a Russian special task force group with the task of finding and killing the enemy commander.
-Mountain: New skirmish: Lead the search for the crash, secure it, evacuate pilots and destroy the Russian forces involved.
-Crossroad, Village, Fields: Fixed camera boundaries that were too weak.

The total number of skirmishes is 19 (9 Russian, 9 Polish, 1 CDC).
The total number of maps is 10 (6 in 2 players, 4 in 4 players).

Buildings:
-All buildings: Fixed animations that started when the task was added and not when the task started.
-All buildings: Reorganization of the placement and obstacle colliders in the Nav Mesh to prevent the placement of buildings from blocking the passage.

-Improvement of the AI. Attack detection, if a unit is attacked the units in the vicinity will come as reinforcements.
-Deactivation of Fog of War when a unit is killed after 3 seconds.

Update 07

Hello,

Update 07 will arrive this Friday, before stating the additions of this update I would like to thank all those with whom I was able to exchange at the Art To Play event last weekend. It was very enriching with lots of ideas for buildings, units, etc....

I opened a topic on the Hub Steam discussion forum to gather your opinions on possible additions.

Discover below the corrections and modifications of Update 07 :

Maps:
-Adding the Polish skirmish "Airport", a mission in which you will have to help a Belarusian squad to take over the airport.

-Add the Russian skirmish "Airport", a mission in which you will have to defend the airport against Polish forces for about 45 minutes.
-Rework the tutorial map to add additional cover areas and give it more life.
-Added the tutorial map in the classic skirmish mode in 1 vs 1 under the name of "Wall". The map being more beautiful I thought it would be nice to be able to play it under other circumstances than the tutorial.


Units:
-Adding lines of sight in the fog of war for vehicles.
-PL Truck: +1 distance of FoW to prevent it from firing on units it doesn't see.
-UAV: Added lights for night mode.
-UAV: Review of size and main color for better visibility.
-UAV: Correction of the movement layers to allow him to go everywhere (he couldn't stop in the areas of cover, river, etc...)

-RU Rocket launcher: Correction of the position of the FoW that could make the unit disappear.

Buildings:
-Barricade: Added the barricade that allows you to build a site offering a +10 cover bonus to your units. This building can be built via the sapper.

Today the update 06 is coming! Discover the additions below:

Map:
-Readjustment of resource positions on all maps.

Preview of Update 06

Hello,

There will be no update this Friday. I'm working on several things at the same time to give you a big update next week.

To begin, I reviewed the Road Map:

November :
-I want to add multiplayer this month, it's already too late compared to what I announced at the beginning.
-I have reduced the number of maps and skirmishes to have more time to work on the Story mode. Skirmishes are still planned but will be added later.
-The arrival of the new map: Airport.
This Autumn themed map offers a different approach. In the middle is the airport with a large runway that offers no cover. You will also find on each side forest areas that do not allow vehicles to pass, only the infantry will be able to access these positions.
Be careful, you will find Belarusian soldiers there who will defend the airport against all players.


I used a new tool to paint the terrain, I also added a lot of small plants, I add them to the current maps to break the "empty" effect that maps can sometimes have.




-Two new skirmishes on the new map, one for each faction.
-With an Autumn map, Autumn appearances! Each faction is being reviewed with new colours and camouflages. These appearances will be playable in the November skirmishes, in classic skirmishes and in multiplayer.
Poland:



Russia:


-Added CDC appearance (available only in Halloween skirmish) playable in classic skirmish and multiplayer.
-I would like to improve the AI, add several difficulty modes for the classic skirmish mode and have an overall difficulty for all factions. (At the moment there is one AI per faction and this is not sustainable in the long term).
-Addition of new buildings:
the light pillar that will allow you to illuminate your base.
the laboratory that will allow you to build the "spot UAV" unit.
I don't have a visual to show you yet.
-Adding a new unit:
the spot UAV, small, fast and weak it will allow you to explore the map but will not be able to attack.


December :
-The arrival of a new map: Wood.
This map will be on the winter theme. I haven't decided on the architecture of this one yet. I thought I would propose a only infantry oriented map with lots of passage in trees, etc.... I'll do a survey to get your opinion!
-Two new skirmishes on the new map, one for each faction.
-Two new defense skirmishes, one for each faction.
-A new look for factions, winter colours and camouflages.
-Improvement of the AI, I would like to add realistic behaviours, such as soldiers taking cover on their own, etc...
-Addition of a new building:
the armory will allow you to improve your units, the machine gunner will be able to have a better armor to become a mastodon and the sniper to have a ghillie that will make him invisible once covered.

In the second point I started to work on all "sprites".
Coverage area:
It's thinner and more discreet.




Strategic position:
I'm thinking about adding an animation to indicate visually, in addition to the color change, that the capture is in progress.

Following the SidAlpha video: here. I owe you an explanation.

When I release the Early Access I removed the video from Dad's Gaming Addictionhere from HUB Steam out of fear.

I understand that it wasn't a good idea. This censorship has not been well received and I agree with that. All criticism is good to take and I should have listened to it rather than reacted badly.

I apologize to the entire community.

I thank SidAlpha for its discussion and advice.

I wish Hell of Men Blood Brothers would become a good game. I want to build a community and I need to be more fair and open-minded.

More Dynamic !

Hello,

Today comes a big update! This one gives a boost to the gameplay. The damage, firing rates, costs and other things have been reworked to make the game more lively and dynamic.

You will find below corrections and modifications:

Units:
-Rework damages.

-Rework firing rates.

-Rework movement speed.

-Add new movement animation for this next units :
Rifleman, Medic, Sapper, Opérator, Machinegunner, Rocket launcher, Sniper.

Making the game more dynamic has also made it more lethal. Cover areas have a higher interest now. It was necessary to rework the costs of the units that were no longer in line with the lifetimes and efficiency of the them.

-All infantry units: addition of the Russian flag on the uniform.
-All vehicles: increase in rotation speed.

Buildings:
-Sandbox: modification of the number of life points from 50 to 100.
-Sandbox: modification of the model, the rotation of the buildings will allow you to fortify a position more quickly.


Mechanical:
-Added a "Skirmish" panel to manage all skirmishes.

-Added a "Classic Skirmish" panel to play a classic RTS game on 7 maps in 2 to 4 players.


-Added a collider on the boxes of strategic points to prevent units from passing through.
-Fixed zombie description that did not appear.
