Tiny update: Rage nerf, new daily, and new achievements

- Added achievements: 'King', 'Full Party', 'Collector'.
- Added 'Near Death' daily challenge.
- Added level-based limit to 'Rage' buffers.

Small cheats-related adjustments + polish

- Added 'no_ragrets' cheat.
- Using cheats will now disable steam achievements.
- Added some additional sound effects.
- Made some missions stop immediately after pass / fail (reason: in those missions there are conditions that makes it a lot easier to get achievements / artifacts).
- Added the 'Gigachad' achievement.

Some polish and bugfix

- Improved auto-balancing.
- Made the first Onslaught mission easier.
- Added damage indicator to gates and walls.
- Made all enemies slightly faster and increased all melee damage speed.
- Increased chance to spawn artifact chests when don't have many artifacts.
- Added some additional sound effects.
- Added resistances to constructs.
- Added 'Random' button for character selection.
- Mixed 'IO' bug that time travel did not actually reduced mission time left + increased time.
- Made 'Priest' slightly weaker.
- Made cheats more accessible via the config file + added more options.

More achievements and minor fixes

- Added Stage Completion achievements.
- Added Pacifist achievement.
- Added quick boss slaying achievements.
- Added daily challenge: Haunted.
- Made the Serpent slightly faster.
- Made the Desert boss stronger.
- Fixed Desert boss sound bug.

Added 5 steam achievements.

In the following days will add more steam achievements.

Steam Achievements

Started to add some Steam Achievements.
Currently added just 10, will add more in future updates (but not all 270+ will migrate to Steam).

How it works: game sync achievements every time you're in main menu, so achievements you already have should sync automatically and you don't need to get them again.

Small polishing update! + Integration with Steam

Added the following:

- Save record time for completing missions.
- Added 'Last Resort' powerup.
- Made Powerups menu scroll be like with other menus (mousewheel / up-down keys) and not annoying like it was.
- Menus scroll and height adjustments.
- Upscaled menu background layers + improved animations and layers.
- Improved monsters data in Bestiary.

Important Notes!

  • I added integration code with steam as prep to add steam achievements and other stuff. It should continue to work with or without steam, if you're having problems in this aspect please let me know.
  • Controllers still don't work due to a bug with WebView2 (a Windows component I use). I contacted Microsoft on GitHub and they are aware and working on a fix. I hope they will release an update soon.

FINAL MISSION IS HERE! (+2 new heroes!)

At last, implemented the game's final mission, meaning you can now have the full experience and complete the campaign.

Changes:
- Added final mission for 'Plains of Terror'.
- Added new classes: 'Priest' (spellcaster with Holy damage spells), 'Orc' (pure strength-based fighter).
- Added new powerup: 'Bloodsucker'.
- Added new skill: 'Banish' (available on Paladin and Priest).
- Balanced all damage improving passives.
- Fixed Critical Hit effect visual bug.
- Made mana cost more when special ability is invoked a lot.
- Removed accidental buff from Chickens..
- Added 'Boomerang' skill to Knight.
- Added earthquake effect when bosses die.
- Increased 'IO' time travel area damage.
- Made it impossible for chickens to leave stage boundaries.
- Fixed bug with enemies sometimes not getting close enough for melee damage.
- Added elements immunity to 'Angel of Pain'.
- Changed camera to center level when level is smaller than screen resolution (instead of sticking to top-left corner).

What's next for HellEscape?

Now that the game is complete, I intend to do the following:

- Let it stay in this state (early access) a little while for tests, balances, and final input from players.
- Add small improvements and content updates, maybe new skills or heroes.
- Set a final release date.
- Make a new trailer and work on game visibility preparing for the release.

After release whether or not I'll continue to add content depends on how well it will do.

- Added 'Onslaught' mission (on 'Cursed Meadow' and 'Climb' stages + Daily Challenge).
- Added Good Mercenaries NPCs.
- Added enemy constructs: Walls, Gates, Ballistra, Barricades, Caged Mercenaries.
- Added 'Entangle' and 'Wasp' skills to Sharpshooter.
- Added additional auto-balance: enemies will be stronger if you have near full health past minute 8, 10, 12 and 14.
- If player choose to finish game after mission is complete, the player will not explode and die. Only if mission is failed or not done that will happen.
- Made 'Axe' stronger.
- Made 'Bow' slightly weaker.
- Made 'Bone' slightly stronger.
- Made 'Boomerang' slightly stronger.
- Made 'Mace' slightly stronger.
- Added animations to some of the static objects like grass and eyes in plains of terror.
