This update fixes the lack of decorations in caves, you should now find them filled with the usual objects and decorations as other dungeons.
Most of the other work in this version is internal - multi-party support is approaching completion, but one large task remains before it's ready for release. It's taken longer than anticipated, which means it's been a while since players have seen much visible updates.
So in the meantime I'll be spending some time on more player facing updates over the next few weeks, nothing too major, but likely some balance tweaks and starting the finish off the UI (mostly missing icons to start).
Changes:
Fix caves not having enough decoration
Fix mini map switches on multi floor dungeons
Just some minor fixes
Version 0.6.7.4 has a few minor fixes, with the multi-party work continuing but not read for release.
Fix issue where portraits are not appearing
Minor tweak to party creation screen
Fix issue where multiple parties could not be selected if on same tile
Cauldron freeze fix
Just some minor fixes
Not much to say but added a potential crash fix.
Version 0.6.7.2
Fix potential crash when building dungeons
Step by step...
Version 0.6.7 doesn't have any big fixes or features, most of the work recently has been behind the scenes getting multi-party dungeons working (it's getting there!). However, there are enough fixes it seems worthwhile pushing a release. Especially the "can't move after using a cauldron" bug that's took me a bit too long to track down. Thanks to everyone who report it!
Fix possible hang moving after using cauldron
Fix tool tips too bright/clear
Floor changes on dungeon minimap are faster
Secret doors in Crystal caves added
New entrance and stairs for dungeons
Minor art update
Version 0.6.6 is minor update that adds some custom cave and crystal dungeon art for stairs and entrances. There are also some minor optimizations and one possible fix for some broken movement bugs.
A number of people have reported freezing up after using cauldrons, I've been unable to reproduce this issue but have added some additional logging that might help track down the issue. If you do encounter this bug - or any other - please do file a bug report with a recent save game if possible.
Multi-floor Dungeons!
Version 0.6.5 has just dropped!
This release has a few minor fixes, but the major change is the addition of multi-floor dungeons.
Now don't expect to see every dungeon now span multiple floors, these dungeons are fairly rare currently and I expect they'll stay that way. They do lay the groundwork for having some multi-party dungeons.
Some of the art is still placeholder assets, but expect that to be resolved in the next few updates.
Multi-floor dungeons added
Fix some minimap icon issues
Fix tool tip wrapping
New caves to explore!
There may not be a lot of changes listed in the notes, but version 0.6.3 brings a mostly whole new set of cave art. Enjoy!
Version 0.6.3 changes
Update Cave art
Add sound to special dungeon tiles (puddles, metal grates, wooded floors)
Fix interactions while minimap is displayed in dungeons
Watch out for traps!
Version 0.6.2 just dropped with a bunch of new trap types to watch out for, as well as a bunch of fixes. Thanks you to every one who has reported bugs - each report makes the game better!
The 0.6.x series will continue on filling out the dungeon crawling content, which as you know is pretty important in a game like this!
Changes:
Lots of new traps
Fix bug where selecting a portrait while leveling up could break
Fix some typos
Add missing monster hover info
Fix issue with Tombstones
Fix issue where resurrected characters still had active battle effects
The dead shouldn't cast spells
More stuff for your dungeons!
The updated adds some new interactive objects to dungeons - healing cauldrons and more. Plus some new decorative pieces to help liven things up.
Expect more of the same in the upcoming updates.
Version 0.6.1
Healing Cauldrons added to dungeons
Anvil of Power added to some dungeons
Added a few more dungeon decorations
Tweaked a number of dungeon objects
Creepy Crypts!
The first update in the 0.6.x series of updates is out!
This adds a new Crypt specific dungeon decor plus some new interactive objects.
As I work on the 0.6.x series I'll be adding more and more custom dungeon styles and adding more objects, both background and interactive. At first they'll come in broad strokes and then a few patches to tweak and tune the styles. This should help make each dungeon just a bit more unique and less repetitive.
Unfortunately existing games won't see the new decor on generated worlds, you'll have to start a new game.
