Now let's take a closer look at some points.
SACRED GROVE
Sacred Grove is part of the Magic Forest which is guarded by Angalar's magicians. This place is a small glade surrounded by forests and rocks. Fiona the Fairy lives in this grove, and she definitely has some tasks for young mercenaries! You can travel to Sacred Grove through the portal which is located in eastern part of the Endless Desert.
QUEST SYSTEM
Quests is one of the main features in any role-playing game. Quests in Hero's Story have different types and difficulty levels. For example, in one quest you need to scout some area and return back, and in other quest - defeat mighty boss and gather the loot. Brave adventurers will be rewarded with gold, equipment and glory points!
NEW ENEMIES AND MORE
A lot of new content has been added to the game in this update. These are new characters, new items, new objects and places on the game levels. There are also two new types of enemies - Young Wolves, which are found in the forests and can cause bleeding with their bite, as well as Sandbugs, which are heavily armored and have a small chance of inflicting poison. Get your antidote ready!
Have fun! Your Silent.

And now let's take a closer look at some points!
KING'S CAVE
This cave once became the battlefield of a mighty warrior and an ancient monster. Now only the restless spirits of the deserts and the abandoned gold of Enthor are left here. According to rumors, there is a large underground lake under this cave. Perhaps that is why several types of rare medicinal plants grow here.
NEW ENEMIES
Ghouls, vampires, utopians - this evil undead has many names. Being corpse-eaters, ghouls can terrify the enemy, not allowing them to move or attack. Ghouls are a formidable opponent and are dangerous even in small numbers, but the anti-magic potion can help to cope with fear!
ENDLESS UPDATE
A long time ago, the way to the Endless Desert was opened to travelers, but many important things, apparently, were lost in the sands. In this update, the Endless Desert will be transformed, opening the veil of mysticism and secrets! The oasis in the east will now heal the player's character, cacti, rocks and sands have begun to look even better, and the Ruins of Shasaf, although hidden by a magical storm, now look more like ruins. Also, the whole area was covered by a sandstorm - look, don't get lost!
Have fun! Yours faithfully, Silent.
Beta Update #16
Hello, Heroes! New update is available for Hero's Story.
This update is pretty big - it includes both new content and important fixes. Much more time was spent on polishing and testing this update than usual. For example, playes will now properly see item's descriptions in inventory, enemy healthbars will no longer lie about their actual amount of health left, and some items and locations were optimized pretty heavily in terms of shadows, collision and post-process. Maybe I will write another post about the ongoing development of such massive project for solo developer. I hope you will enjoy this update as much as I do!

Various game's levels fixes
Now let's take a closer look at some points.
NEW ITEMS
Inventory and loot in this update have been significantly improved. Among the new items this time are a rare potion that protects against magic, greater potions of health and energy as well as a special loot from the Spider Queen and an ominous eye that reminds of old times. Let me remind you that you can find these items both in the game world and as loot from enemies.
NOTIFICATIONS SYSTEM
Hero's Story is not an easy game, but that's no reason to make it artificially confusing! In the very first versions of the game, there were simple notifications informing that the door was locked or that the way further was closed. In the new version I decided to go further - and add fancy notifications for all picked up items. In the future, most likely, similar notifications will appear, for example, to start of a fight or getting status effect.
TRAVEL SCREEN
When you get far enough in the world of Teandria, you will most likely see a window offering to travel to a new game zone. In the update, this window has been expanded, and now includes a brief description and an approximate threat (difficulty) level. So far there are no really difficult locations in the game, so don't worry! And yes, it is still impossible to return to the starting prison.
*you can't navigate UI fully using controller yet
Have fun! Your Silent.

Beta Update #15
Hello, Heroes! I hope that start of the new year went well for you.
The first update of 2023 brings to Hero's Story new location, glory points system and updated books. This is a very important update - after all, both the glory points system and the books are important parts of the game! Of course, the glory points will still be balanced in the future and the bonuses from the glory ranks in full version will definitely be different, but now at least you can try this system "on the tooth" and share your opinion in discussions, by email or on social media. In this update I have managed to fix some annoying bugs, a couple of annoying ones for players particularly. I hope you will enjoy this update!
Full list of changes you can find below as usual.
General
'Pumpkin Collector' event has been ended
Disabled player's armor sound (at the request of players)
Removed main character's 'lean' at the start of run animation (at the request of players)
Fully reworked (updated) some ingame books and notes
Additions
New location: Watchtower
New game mechanic: Glory points
New books and notes have been added
Optimization
Some irrelevant code parts were removed
Bugfixes
Fixed the critical bug when player could've spend more Energy than player's character have
Fixed a bug when one of the items in Canals was almost impossible to pick up
Fixed a bug when some stairs in Warehouse couldn't be traversed without jumping
Various game's levels fixes and updates
Now let's take a closer look at some points.
WATCHTOWER
To the southeast of the Duke's Keep stands an ancient Watchtower. It was built during the wars with the barbarians. Later, the cruel duke remade the structure to suit his dark needs, but after Enthor relationship with Solheim went through another crisis, the guards again use it for its intended purpose. And what a view it offers!
GLORY POINTS SYSTEM
Glory points in its stripped-down form could be seen in the first versions of Hero's Story - but only in the credits! Players gain glory points as the game goes on by performing various actions (i.e. finding treasure). Having accumulated enough glory points, the player's character moves to the next 'rank' and receives a certain bonus. In the current version, bonuses and the number of ranks themselves are very limited, but you can try to declare yourself as a mighty hero right now!
UPDATED BOOKS
In this update, the appearance of the book has changed. Now messages that fit on one page will be displayed as notes. There are now books with different, and not fixed, as before, the number of pages. Work was also have been performed out for the future localization (translation) of the game. Books will still be added and rewritten in the upcoming updates! Also by reading the books you can learn a little about the plot of the game.
I would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the 'Pumpkin Collector' event has been completed for now - but it will definitely return this fall!
Have fun! Your Silent.
Beta Update #14
Hello, heroes!
Yesterday I uploaded a new update for Hero's Story Early Access. In this update, 'Credits' section of the main menu finally got unlocked, fall damage from previous update was carefully balanced, some annoying bugs were fixed, and some materials for the future updates were added. Probably this is the last update in this year, because soon I will have to leave for a treatment for a while. I hope you will understand. The full list of changes can be found below.
General
Now boss name will be displayed at the top of the screen during the fight
Volume of various sounds and music in the game has been leveled
Changed transcription of the name 'Ysel' (was 'Isel')
Additions
Added 'Credits' section to the main menu
Added some information about the enemies
Balance
Fall damage was slightly increased
Optimization
Some unused lines of code were removed from the game
Bugfixes
Fixed a bug, when big chest after Spider Queen defeat appered too far from the player
Fixed a bug, when bosses still sometimes got too much damage from projectiles
Fixed a bug, when according sound was not played while opening the Inventory
Fixed a bug, when sometimes Inventory did not open from the first try
Minor fixes
Now let's take a closer look at some points.
Credits section
New update has brought the opportunity to see 'Credits' section from the main menu, which were previously unavailable . Credits themselves are still subject of change, but the main information is already there. Teandria must know its Heroes!
Enemy health
At the request of players I am adding the ability to see some information about the enemies. Since when creating Hero's Story, I always focused on immersion in the game world, initially not all information about the enemy will be available to you - and only at a certain distance!
Look into the Future
Recently, not as much new content has been released for Hero's Story as we would like. In the new year, I plan to add even more new monsters, items and locations, as well as a full-fledged game zone - the Magic Forest!
Also the 'Pumpkin Collector' event has been extended indefinitely.
