Welcome to year 2 of HopDodge. This year is gonna be another year of explosive progress. We're gonna see the game come alive with secrets, mechanics, and graphics. ! Wow. I, for one, cannot wait.
Anyway here's the changelog.
New Lobby Browser
This is the new Lobby Browser menu. It let's you join any play lobby or public editor lobbies. Join your friends or make new ones!
New Tutorial Level
The tutorial level got a glow up. New secrets and it provides insight into how Hop ends up in heaven.
New Achievements
New achievements for beating the first 3 Chapters of the story (1, 2, and 3).

HopDodge 1.999
Yeah this is the year long development anniversary for HopDodge. This update includes crossbows, squids, and codeblocks.
Crossbows work like swords, can be used by Hop and OpDo and fire arrows. These arrows interact with MP like the swords do where both players need to be solid for it to have an effect.
Squids are like goblins, but a little different. They will chase the camChar when they are in range, and will ignore other characters. They also move on the x/z plane and fall on the y, while being able to jump. Touching them will respawn them, as well them dropping off the map. However, a sword or crossbow can kill them until the level is reset or reloaded.
Codeblocks are the biggest thing in this update. They essentially allow the creation of custom code that can be run in levels. Using some of the example code as a base, it could be possible to make powerups, animations, weapons, and so much more. The potential is very high, but will anyone take advantage? Not sure.
There's a few miscellaneous changes. Rabbits have cooldown walking into walls now, preventing them from wall scaling. WASD is now the default bindset. There's a scanline effect that can be toggled with f5. Level completion now triggers an animation and a prompt showing the how long it took to beat that time as well as the record for the level completion. Almost forgot! There's a death animation for Hop now.
Finally there's now a bunch of new examples of codeblocks being used in the file: code.sav. That can be loaded from within the game.

Dodge and OpDo have their diagonal movement speed properly scaled now As well as new billboarding effects for Dodge:
Level previews on goals now show where the goal leads too.
There's new load and save menus.
Copy and Paste Improvements: Rotating selections
Pressing 1-9 keys will hot save the current selection. Allowing for quick swapping and constant memory between levels:
Play mode is now connected to the last save you played. So going back into the play mode will put you right back where you left off.

Added shadows button in the settings Pressing t opens the timer in game. Timer will not change while paused, and will reset when the level is reset. Pausing is not the reset button. Now the level must be paused and the reset button must be clicked. There's now some menu control with the arrow keys and the enter button. Useful for controller users I think, but there's also a way to bind the mouse to the joysticks using steam works.
addit: Opdo stair collision is improved. Rabbit will trigger a sign that is under it. Crate collisions "mostly" improved.
Next update (Plans): Editor tutorial save. Story map updates/improvements. Toybox object holder (Save selections and choose them across different levels to paste).
Update after that: Speed run challenges. Editor Undo. select box right click menu. Sun object and moon object.

Multiplayer Lobbies in the Editor (Click the icon, enable multiplayer, invite friends, give them and yourself access, edit and play levels in real time with your friends)
MP Shadows can now toggle solid, (the s on the character) by pressing caps lock
Solid shadows can collide on with each other, so long as both are solid.
Solid Shadows can now PVP using swords as Hop or Opdo.
FX controller lets you change the background to a variety of different effects that players can choose their own parameters for.

Coming soon! Level Editor tutorial room. Teaches players the ins and outs of each object, and the editor.
