Last week, we gave you all some first look at some 'Departments' content. We also asked you guys what kind of content you would like to see going forward. More specifically, we asked those of you with medical experience and you sure delivered!
We were quite overwhelmed by the amount of suggestions we got. We went through them and kept seeing one topic arise a number of times: Medical Speciality.
We would therefore like to change the skills in the game to be more specializing, adding skills such as Dermatology, Optomology, Cardiology, etc..
This would mostly apply to Nurses and Doctors, but we have some plans for the other staff as well. Work on this will probably see the light of day after 'Departments' hit the scene.
Also, we would like to thank all of you for your amazing support lately. A great amount of activity, both here and on Twitter. This means a lot to us, you're AWESOME!
Don't hesitate to ask if you should ever have any questions! Ask us here on the forums, our email support@illeris.com or on Twitter!
Thank you! - Illeris Team
Dev Update [08.10.2017]
Departments are almost here!
Good evening/afternoon/morning Everyone!
It's been a while since we gave you guys a dev update, so we thought we'd put one together today. Departments are getting along nicely and we would like to present some of it to you today.
This is what is currently looks like. (Look, it's even night time!)
The screenshot still has a couple of placeholders, but you get the idea. You can create your own departments, consisting of rooms and employees. It's very important to think through your shift schedule, so that you have the right staff for the right times, in the right places.
There are still some mechanics that needs implementing, like how to control where the pasient should be forwarded at which times. This is something the player will have to set up themselves for each department.
If you have any questions regarding departments, we're more than happy to answer them!
Oh and we just released a patch for Hospitalize, featuring some fixes regarding saving & loading of milestones. You can check that out here
Now, we would really like to ask the ones of you who work/have worked or have experience with medicine, what kind of aspects or mechanics, diseases or treatments you would like to see in Hospitalize. Maybe something you can relate to or something you have experience with. Let us know and we're more than happy to look over them and see what we can do!
That's about it for now. Expect departments to hit the Experimental branch soon, where you will be able to test it before it's even released to the public! We're always super greatful to anyone who tests and reports issues, it helps a lot!
We'll see you next time!
Thank you! - Illeris Team

One Year! HOSPITALIZE 20% OFF!
Greetings wonderful people of the Hospitalize community!
Yesterday marked one year of Hospitalize on Steam! We're extremely grateful for all the support and help throughout the year and would hope this awesome trend keeps on for more years to come!
Initially Hospitalize was set as a one year project, but things don't always end up as planned and we're holding off with the full release for now. There are still tons of features we would like to add to the game before calling it complete. 'Departments' is one of them and is on it's way slowly, but steadily!
Only the future is ahead of us and we plan to utilize that to the fullest! Together with your ideas, feedback and help, we'll be sure to make Hospitalize as good as it can get! We're super excited for the year to come!
To celebrate the good year and many more to come, we're launching Hospitalize's first sale! 20% OFF for a whole week starting tomorrow! Now's the best time to get a friend, or yourself, into the game!
Wrapping things up: Thank you all for all your support this year, and please continue your support going forward, it really does help tremendously much! We're super excited for the year to come, and hope you are as well!

Weekly.. more like monthly, am I right??
Hello everyone! Finally time for another update regarding everything Hospitalize, but first: Here are changelogs for the latest Hospitalize patch.
Huge "thank you" to everyone on the Experimental branch for testing as always!

Bugfixes:

Fixed a bug which caused characters to freeze.
Minor fixes++
Small, but important patch! Onto the dev update:
Right now, we feel like the tutorial isn't really doing what it's supposed to and we'll be releasing a fix on this the coming week. In the long run, we want to have a stable and intuitive system, but it's important that it doesn't hinder the player either like it's been doing as of lately.
Work on departments has begun! This is a major update and will be gradually more available on the 'Experimental branch'. The first update will be released in a few weeks and will include a day / night cycle as well as shifts. Very exciting!
First sketch:
A couple weeks or so ago we released a survey which we asked you all to take part of. This got overwhelmingly better response than we would've thought and more than 200 of you answered it! Thank you!
One of the more important questions were "What do you think we should focous on moving forward?" and not so suprisingly, it was 'Departments' who got the most votes, but it was also important for us to see what other topics you are interested in and this certainly helped us a lot!
That's it for this time, thank you all very much for taking part of this forum and helping us make Hospitalize an even greater game! We appreciate it a lot!
We'll see you next time!
Thank you! - Illeris Team
HOSPITALIZE v.0.12.1

As always, much thanks to everyone for sending in bug reports and using this forum. It helps a lot!

Survey!
Hello everyone!
We recently set up a survey which we're currently posting around our social medias/forums. The survey is anonymous (optional to send user details) and will ultimately help us define our game and head in the right direction. Not only the direction we want to go, but also what direction you guys would like Hospitalize to go :]
We're super excited for this and would appreciate it a lot if you would take just 5 minutes out of your day to answer it for us.
Head to our twitter page @HospitalizeTG to find it pinned at the top!
