Auto stacking issue when opening containers. Increased the spawn chance of finding salt. All hoodies can now be used to make rags like tshirts. Added more missing lights to a house with generator. Fixed canned food losing sealed status when in quickslot. Fixed equip function for items in ground backpack and container. Various minor bugs fixes.

In just 12 months we have achieved so much and we have our players and community to thank for it.
We are back with another patch to fix some on going issues from our recent 912 update.
All servers will need to be restarted to pull the lastest update.
Fixes Fixed dog not immediately destroyed when disconnecting. Fixed gas stations not able to siphon small amounts of fuel. Fixed fueling car not respecting fuel capacity. Fixed exploit with dropping backpack/weapon while performing an action. Fixed some weapons losing durability when repaired. Fixed spawn point not showing up as a respawn option. Fixed bear traps not affecting animals. Fixed trader exploit. Fixed Backpack durability text. Fixed Car glitch when you spam interact/jump. Fixed reloading save, fridge and battery charger no longer powered by house generator. Fixed can't equip car components using the equip menu option. Fixed collecting of water from a pond not accounting for backpack space. Fixed trader food issue (Capacity and sealed status issues fixed). Fixed issue with Knob quest not unlocking the building option of the beehive. Fixed Buck Fernandez ghost spawn issue for dedicated servers. Fixed fishing water detection issues. Fixed whistling when renaming containers. Fixed barricades not attaching to new buildings. Fixed issue when pick up animation is played when there's no space in inventory. Fixed some houses missing lights with house generators. Fixed issues with random items respawning when no respawn is set. Fixed enemy dog playing sfx when dead for client on servers. Fixed issues with house generator and parts being removed. Potential fix for black screen when there are issues joining or switching servers.
Changes Sealed canned food can now stack until it's been open this will help with inventory space. You now need a hammer in hand to repair structures. Updated tactical and regular machete description. Tactical machetes can now harvest animals. You can no longer use locks with prison doors.
Additions/QOL New on screen UI notification when unlocking a new blueprint or recipe. Added use option for battery when inside a container. Added vehicle horn gamepad key. Improvements to collision of multistory buildings to improve shooting indoors. Improvements and changes to house lights to help with performance. Improvements to UI scaling settings.

Changes to weight of some items making them less heavy
Added all spoilt food items to be used with the compost bin
Fix applied to Japanese language issues
Fixed rags durability stacking issue
Fixed dogs duping upon logging off and back in again on servers
Fixed for kicking causes bleeding in PVP
Fixed Logging out and back in cures your food poisoning status
Fixed food poisoning not clearing on death

Improvements to UI scaling not applying appropriately
Improvements to gun shot sound attenuation
Added check to prevent placing spawn point near the boundaries of another spawn point that you do not own.

Thank you everyone that supports us and our game dev journey this is our first ever game and sometimes we get it right sometimes we don't but this is our passion and we will eventually get to where we want.
This update was a big change to how the game plays, I know a lot of players that have played the game for a while might not be happy with some of the changes because nobody likes change and we may need to fix and tweak a few things after this update but it is early access and giving us some support for what we are doing really helps us and players giving good constructive feedback is also hugely beneficial for us to improve from.
So again thank you I've been reading all the comments, the feedback and the reviews and we will continue on our journey to make HumanitZ as great as possible.

The next major patch is here! 0.912 includes big changes to HumanitZ ranging from combat movement and inventory stacking to food spoilage and more power options! The list goes on, so let’s dive in and see what's included in this big update!
We would like to explain our new changes before you read the big list below… so let's begin... Melee combat has been changed to feel more fluid and less restrictive allowing more control and movement when fighting the undead, that being said changes have been made to bigger zeek threats that will require combos to stun them so fighting different zeeks now come with new challenges. The big changes to inventory and how food and drink items no longer stack due to them spoiling over time, as well as a new capacity allowing players to drink or consume certain amounts of each item. We have increased the inventory slots of containers and backpacks to help with stacking changes. Also, certain items no longer go in pockets but large weapons can now fit into backpacks. We really hope you enjoy this huge dev update we have for you, thank you.
Localization is still ongoing with huge amazing help from our awesome community. It is a big undertaking so if you would like to help us get there, please reach out in the Official HumanitZ Discord. We would gladly accept extra help in our mission to translate the game completely.
Server Info:All official servers will be wiped and it’s recommended all server owners to do the same in order to get the best experience from this update.
Steam Deck:There have been some performance issues up-channeled by the community regarding older versions of the Steam Deck. While the game is currently playable on the new OLED version utilizing MEDIUM/HIGH graphical settings, we know it's not yet perfect. We are working towards improving this for the next update, version 0.913. This update was so big we had no time to primarily focus on the Steam Deck this time around, but please bear with us while we advance toward full compatibility with future updates.

Food and drink now has capacity and can be consumed by an amount (can be shared with friends)
Free moving camera while driving
Meat Salting Table craftable added (used for curing meat)
Food poisoning is a new type of infection that can be caused from eating old or spoilt food (eating spoilt food has a higher change making you ill)
Antibiotics added to help cure food poisoning
Survivors can now randomly vomit when suffering from food poisoning (Managing this will be key as it could happen at the worst possible time)
New Wandering Mega Horde added (New zeek migration system added so they roam around the island)
Dedicated Server and Game Setting options for food decay and generator drain
Large Weapons now go into backpacks
Certain items no longer go into your pockets (examples: fuel can, car battery and sheet metal etc)
Backpack slots have been increased to help with the lack of stacking of perishables
Elite zeek changes making them harder to deal with. (Larger zeeks now require more hits to stun them)
Eating too much of a certain type of food may have side effects :)
Made APC harder to flip (Sorry Brian Menard)
Weapon attachments are now more scarce
Food and Drink now has decay over time (Fresh, Stale, Old and Rotten)
Consumable food and drink no longer stacks as food can now become spoiled over time
Toggle sprint/walk option now added to settings
The dog companion now accepts cooked fish and salted meat as food
Dog kills now count for stats and XP
Chance of finding items and consumables with higher durability increased
Funnel item is no longer required for syphoning fuel from vehicles
Improved loot inside locked survivor houses
Big changes to the main map (full interactable map will be updated closer to 1.0)
Changes to house layouts and interior props
Random loot can now spawn on picnic benches
You can now craft improvised bow and improvised arrows from the player crafting menu.
Improved loot chance with supply drops
Changes made to the weight system, we have encumbered which locks your stamina to 25% and when you become over encumbered you are locked at 25% but can only move at walk speed.
Changes to hunting rifle to now deal more damage
Zeeks now make impact sounds when bashing on doors
Improved zombie footstep sounds
Increased distance at which AI despawns when outside its spawner and is still near the player
Weapon bench has been removed allowing players to equip attachments from their inventory with chosen weapon in hand
Fixed repair kit infinite use interrupts animation glitch
Fixed refuelling infinite use interrupts animation glitch
Fixed splitting inside containers losing item
Fixed vaulting while accessing the car causing the car to flip

912 Experimental Branch

We have just launched a short Experimental Branch for the new 912 update coming this month.
Full patch notes will come with the official update, but here is a brief synopsis of some of the main additions and changes.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:When you switch your branch to the Experimental Branch please create a New Save to play | Currently there is no experimental test server but you are able to play hosted multiplayer with friends as long as they download the experimental branch. Experimental Branch is not compatible with anyone hosting a Dedicated Server..(ofc works with single player as well)

So we have to push this “small ninja patch” today as we have some improvements for the steam deck and other small fixes that were needed that we didn’t get time to include yesterday.
Server Info: Servers will need to be restarted to pull the new patch!
Performance improvements for the steam deck (tested with SteamDeck OLED), able to play on ultra but high is the recommended best graphics settings right now.
Small change to chromatic aberration (minor visual improvements).
Small fixes to some quests.
Set English to be the default language in language selection.
Fixed issue with white quest building actor issue when loading old save.
Fix applied for the SVD quest duplication bug.
Added extra check for empty gas station for old saves.
Added check to prevent removing quest building blueprints via dismantling.
Fixed password defaulting to shown when joining a server via password.
Some small server improvements and performance.
Feedback on gamepad functionality and steam deck is very welcome as we look to improve these alongside any feedback and suggestions you have for the main PC version.
