Last but not least there are two quirks that we’re aware of and ready to tackle in the future: Painkillers are inadvertently stacking to 5 instead of 10 - hotfix this weekend will correct this. Caffeine Conundrum: Clicking on coffee beans can currently lock up your character. Logging out and back in fixes the state.
And if that wasn't enough—there's more! We've got an electrifying announcement shambling your way this weekend. 😱
Our first post-release patch is here, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you. Your dedication and valuable feedback have spurred us to work tirelessly on enhancing your post-apocalyptic experience.
Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of what this patch brings.
Gameplay Enhancements
Map Improvements: We’ve added more resources, including additional bushes, stones and interactive fire barrels to keep you warm during the unforgiving winter season.
Additional World Creation Options: Customize your survival adventure with more options! Adjust zeek multipliers, explore perma-death settings (Individual - If MP you must keep the host alive, All - one dies we all die), and choose to remove infection on death.
Vitals Settings: Tailor your gameplay with vital settings; offering slower, normal, and faster rates of hunger, thirst, and infection drain.
User Interface & Experience
Gamepad-Friendly: Enjoy a smoother gaming experience with improved gamepad UI and tooltips.
Human AI Mechanics: Our survivors are getting smarter! We've added new human AI mechanics for a more dynamic world.
Inventory Improvements: Managing your gear just got easier. We’ve made it easier to change location when you have multiple pistols and tools. We’ve also made improvements to quick slots. (Now easier to change when adding binoculars or compass etc).
Tooltip Enhancements: Get a clearer understanding of debuff icons with tooltips on mouseovers.
Rotation Options: Discover a new "Auto" rotate option for player rotation in gameplay settings. Adjust Rotation Sensitivity to find your sweet spot.
New Map Markers: Navigate your world more efficiently with fresh map marker icons.
Survival Challenges:
Prolonged Water Purification: It now takes longer to clean water at a cooking location.
Fire Fix: Fires will now go out properly, preventing interactions after they're extinguished.
Bug Fixes & Gameplay Tweaks:
Quality of Life: Enjoy an array of quality-of-life improvements. We’ve improved loot, movement and interaction with Trader. We’ve also improved the loot of the Survivor Car.
Helmet Surprises: Armored zeeks now have a chance of losing their helmets, creating headshot opportunities.
Build Actor Insights: Keep track of build actor health when you're near them.
Stealthy Steps: We've slightly reduced player footstep sound to attract fewer zeeks.
Roaming Horde Nerf: The Roaming Horde has been adjusted to introduce special zeek types more slowly to the horde.
Extra Storage: We've added an extra row of 5 slots to crafted storage containers.
UI Fixes: Bid farewell to issues like hypothermia UI being stuck on screen after respawn.
Zeek Gridlock: Zeeks are back to navigating with the grace of undead creatures. Dead zeeks will no longer prevent other zeeks from navigating properly.
Weather Woes: We've addressed weather-related bugs, including the infamous spring blizzard issue. Snow may show on loaded save but will clear after time in game.
Container Convenience: Swap items effortlessly using the middle mouse button within containers.
Inventory Bug Fixes Including: Say goodbye to problems like the disappearing bike helmet when inventory is full, and players getting stuck in the backpack animation.
Lock-Picking Freedom: Fixed getting stuck in the lock picking animation. You can also now exit the lock picking system by hitting ESC.
Blueprint Fixes: You can now vault through blueprints like, unfinished window barricades.
Zeek Horde Tweaks: Zeek hordes have undergone improvements and fixes.
Last but not least we have a potential fix for interaction issues on respawn.

Dev Vlog 03 is live!
Hey everyone,
It's been a while since our last video on the development of Humantiz, Yoz delivers yet another insightful look at where the game is now with some updates to features and brand new ones.
Our team has been working super hard to bring us a better game, and we couldn’t appreciate your support more! If you’d like to give us feedback and be part of our community, don’t forget to join our Discord and follow us on Twitter,YouTube, and Facebook!
Thank you for checking out our developer’s log and thanks to everyone that is hyped and supporting us. It really means a lot. Don’t forget to wishlist!
It’s been a while since our last update. We move ever so close to early access so we wanted to share what we’ve been working on with our community!
Custom Character Creation
One feature we’ve been working hard on is custom character creation. From this menu, you can make adjustments to your character’s face, skin, facial hair, and hairstyle, as well as what clothing they wear.
As a bonus, better clothing and equipment can be found in game to upgrade your character! You can equip those via the inventory menu.
Vehicle Parts
Now, you can no longer jump into a car and just drive off into the sunset! 😉 You must check to ensure the vehicle has all its required parts such as the battery, starter motor, fuel pump, and fan belt.
These parts can be scavenged from other vehicles in the world!
Don’t forget - parts can lose durability over time, just like in the real world. Driving and wear and tear will cut through that durability! Once one of the parts reached 0% durability, the car will stop running.
Here’s what parts might look like:
Skill System
We’ve added a skill system to the game players can now gain xp from doing a number of things in the game.
XP helps you level up and you are rewarded with a skill point for every level that you can spend to help improve and progress your character.
Mobile Base
We’ve now added a “mobile base”: The RV! Not only does it have great storage space, it allows you to cook while travelling around the apocalypse. Score!
CB Trader
We’ve added the option to be able to craft a CB radio which players can use to attempt to call in traders to their location.
These traders can be killed by zombies so make sure it’s safe before calling them.
Farming and Crops
You can now speed up the growing of crops by using fertilizer.
We have also added tomatoes and cabbage as new items to grow.
Other updates/Changes
We fixed huge inventory lag issues, which boosts performance.
Zombie AI has been improved!
Camera now zooms in when you enter buildings so it’s harder to see outside the house.
You can scroll with mouse wheel to zoom in and out slightly with your character
Improved vehicle UI, for interaction, repairing and fueling and when driving.
Crafting system has been tweaked, so crafted items are now stored inside the actor.
3D preview of character in the inventory
Slowly swapping out the old UI for the new UI
Working on controller support
Overhaul of the new large map
