Indie Game Battle v1.77 released!
Hey everyone!
IGB v1.77 is out! Adds a new character and stage, as well as some other things. Here's the changelog:
**Additions**
-Added Pico as a playable character!
-Added Newgrounds to the stage select!
-Added 1 new alt color for Matt.
-Added 1 new song to the Dragon's Shrine stage!
-Added 2 new songs to the The Sanctum and The Arena stages.
**Changes & Improvements**
-Huey, Gip, and Rex have gotten new renders.
-Updated the Emblem logo.
**Fixes**
-Finally fixed major spawning bug where you'd spawn in an incorrect position. Which could lead you stuck inside the stage, or below it, and cause you to instantly lose a stock again upon stepping off the respawn platform. Let us know if this bug is still present.
-Fixed bug where the charge SFX during Bingo's neutral special wouldn't loop.
-Fixed bug where the character icon could be an incorrect costume when using the random button.
-Fixed bug where Mac & STEVE's intro animation wouldn't play.
**Balancing**
*Buffs*
-Max & STEVE now shoots bullets faster than before during neutral special. The move also has less startup lag.
*Nerfs*
-Max & STEVE's bullets during neutral special now do a bit less damage.

Indie Game Battle v1.76 released!
Hey everyone!
IGB v1.76 is out! This update adds some cool new things, and does some improvements in general. Here's the changelog:
**Additions**
-Added Bingo's neutral special.
-Added an alternative neutral special for Gip. Try pressing up when holding down the button to use it.
-Added two alternative down specials for Gip. Like the alt neutral special, hold up or down to use them.
-Added two new costumes for Blue Blob.
-Added Teslakid to the character select! Greyed out until available.
**Changes & Improvements**
-Unique renders and icons for alt costumes are now supported.
-Matt, Aria, and Chip now have brand new renders.
-Slightly improved texturing on Aria.
-When throwing apples with The Kid's neutral special, they will now fall down to the ground. They can then be picked up and thrown.
-When Gip uses neutral special, he will now slow down his vertical momentum.
-Gip now has more varied facial expressions.
-The blast zones on the Training stage are now smaller.
-The horizontal blast zones on the Final Rift stage are now closer.
-The top blast zone on Green Boy Fields is now a bit lower.
-The horizontal blast zones on the Dream Shrine stage are now closer.
-The top and horizontal blast zones on the Dragon's Shrine stage are now closer.

Indie Game Battle v1.75 released!
Hey everyone!
IGB v1.75 is out! This update mainly does a lot of things for Gip. there's some other things too, but you'll find that a majority of this update in general is about Gip, both visually and in gameplay. Here's the changelog:
**Changes & Improvements**
-Gip's up air is now a completely different new move.
-Gip has now gotten brand new effects. They not only look a lot better, but they're also more unique as well as more clearly visible in front of any background.
-Gip is now a bit bigger to fit with his actual size.
-Gip's model has gotten a big overhaul with brand new textures, much optimization, and more details.
-Gips down tilt now pushes him backwards.
-Gip forward tilt and uptilt have now been completely remade with new animations. Uptilt is also a very different move overall.
-Updated trees and bushes on the Dragon's Shrine stage.
-Updated the Emblem victory theme.
-Light hit effects are now smaller and less blinding.
**Fixes**
-Fixed bug when you used Gip's down special which would spawn the charge effect many times instead of just one. Causing the game to not only potentially slow down, but also make the effect very strong.
-Fixed bug where Gip could roll out of down special's endlag.
**Balancing**
*Buffs*
-Gip's weight has been buffed from -12 to -2. His health also went from 900 to 1000.
-Gip's side special projectile now moves faster, and the move also charges faster.
-Gip's down air, back air, down smash, and down tilt now do a bit more damage. His back air and down smash also now have more knockback.
-Gip's down tilt now has a sourspot further out.
-Chip's weight has been buffed from -14 to -11
-Bingo's weight has been buffed from -12 to -11
*Nerfs*
-Gip's down tilt now comes out a bit later to fit the animation.
-Gip's down air now has more endlag and comes out a bit later. It also lasts a little bit shorter to fit the animation.
-Gip's neutral air now lasts shorter.
-Gip's smash attacks now have a bit more endlag.

Indie Game Battle v1.74 released!
Hey everyone!
IGB v1.74 is out! Mainly does some changes and tweaks, as well as some balancing. Here's the changelog:
**Changes & Improvements**
-Tweaked the Dragon's Shrine stage. The stage has been moved further into the back to avoid obstructing the view, especially when below the center platform.
-Camera on the Final Rift stage has been tweaked. It'll no longer zoom out as much anymore, and will generally stay closer to the stage itself.
-CPUs will now wait with using their side special to recover until their velocity is correct. As previously they would use it immediately, which often resulted in the side special failing to move them due to the launch knockback.
-Updated stage icon for Dragon's Shrine.
**Fixes**
-Fixed bug where Huey's up special would have an ice effect on it sometimes.
-Fixed bug where Red Drop's side special would reset his horizontal velocity no matter what, making his side special able to completely flip his velocity.
-Fixed some minor errors.
**Balancing**
*Buffs*
-Blue Blob's back air hitbox now lasts longer to fit the animation. It now also has a secondary hitbox below his hand, to hit grounded opponents better.
-Bingo's down special now does a bit more damage, and also moves him faster downwards.
*Nerfs*
-Blue Blob's back air hitbox now comes out a few frames later to fit the animation.

Indie Game Battle v1.73 released!
Hey everyone!
IGB v1.73 is out! This is a rather bug update. Adds some new controller options, quite a few menu fixes and improvements, some balancing and tweaks, and even the new Final Rift redesign. Here's the changelog:
**Additions**
-Added an advanced controller options menu! Here you can set up Tap Jump, Tilt Smash Attacks, and more.
-Added a stage alt button! With it you can control whether you will play on the default stages, alt stages, or random.
-Added text on the item switch for on and off, in addition to the colors themselves.
**Changes & Improvements**
-On the stage select, the mouse cursor can now also preview stages by hovering over them. This only works if the in-game cursor isn't already hovering over one already, however.
-When pressing the smash attack button in the air, you will now do an aerial just like the normal attack button would.
-You can now press start (the pause button) on the character select to continue to the stage select.
-You can now pick up and place the player selector disks on the character select when using the mouse.
-The Final Rift stage has been redesigned and improved!
-You can now change the stage alt by using the new button for it.
-When moving around the main menu, the camera now transitions/moves quicker.
-When hit by a move with low vertical knockback on the ground, you won't get knocked down as easily.
-When using a forward tilt your horizontal velocity will now reduce slightly.
-Matt's fallspeed has changed from 150 to 165. He also has slightly stronger gravity.
-Chip's fallspeed has changed from 160 to 175. He also has slightly stronger gravity.
-Aria's fallspeed has changed from 150 to 160.
-Adventure Pal's fallspeed has changed from 150 to 155.
-Artist's fallspeed has changed from 140 to 145.
-Jarvis's fallspeed has changed from 140 to 155.
-The Kid's fallspeed has changed from 160 to 165.
**Fixes**
-Fixed menu bug where if you entered Training and then pressed back, you'd go to the wrong menu. Sometimes you could also stay in Training mode after going back and then starting a match.
-Fixed error where Pursuit's name would not be shown on the character select.
-Fixed error where Pursuit wouldn't be able to show up on the main menu as one of the randomized renders.
**Balancing**
*Buffs*
-Blue Blob's down smash, back air, and down air animations are now faster, and the hitboxes come out earlier.
-Gip's down air animation is now faster, and the hitbox comes out earlier.

Hey everyone!
IGB v1.72 is out! This update adds one of the best looking stages yet, does some graphical boosts, and some other things. Here's the changelog:
**Additions**
-Added Crystal Spire to the stage select!
-Added Pursuit to the character select! Greyed out until available.
**Changes & Improvements**
-The crystals on Final Rift, Showdown, and Skyward Core now look better.
-The Training stage has now been graphically improved. This stage was simply forgotten last update.
-The pushing force when two players walk into eachother has been reduced.
**Fixes**
-Fixed bug where Matt's alt side special would not stop his vertical momentum in certain cases. Especially common with CPUs.
We've also revealed a brand new original stage, which'll have importance for the coming Adventure Mode. It'll also be available very soon in v1.72!

Hey everyone!
IGB v1.71 is out! This is a pretty major update, as the entire game basically gets a graphics overhaul among other things. Here's the changelog:
**Additions**
-Added 3 new alts for Gip!
**Changes & Improvements**
-Nearly the entire game has now gotten graphical boosts!
-When changing the damage text option, you can now choose between percent (%) and health (HP).
-The Orbit's Lab stage is now a bit smaller.
-Improved Gip's eye textures.
**Fixes**
-Fixed visual bug where Gip's skin appeared darker and more grey than intended.

-Several moves for the whole cast now have less startup lag.
