Another Weekly Update

Preliminary Crew System is out in the Pre-Alpha Branch

We've been working hard on creating a dynamic crew system in a large scale game with a full function and customizable ship. It was not an easy task, but we have the first taste of it in this pre-alpha branch update. Here's a quick summary of what's new in this update:


  • Created Video Options Menu system
  • In-game options menu system overhaul (still a work in progress)
  • Created Crew Management System and variables
  • Added Crew Stats system
  • Added Game time system and dynamic time variables
  • Added time-scaling system for future bullet-time gameplay
  • Add turbo-lift system for Ship cores
  • Added Lobbies for ship cores for crew standby
  • Added Crew Hiring system
  • Added 5 Available Crews for hire
  • Added save system for crews and stats
  • Created Dialogue system for Sandbox Mode
  • Added an Engine Room to ship cores
  • Added transparency view for ship inspection in the build mode



Not only that you can build and fly your capital ship, you now can hire crews!
We would love to get some early feedback for our crew system. It's still early, but as always, the hard part is behind the scene making sure the system works well with save/load and that every function works with one another. Needless to say, there will be bugs, and there will be glitches, but the goal is to see if you all think this concept of having crews do stuff around your ship is something fun or not?

We paused game development to support the fight against COVID-19

As much as we love developing this game, we want to make sure we are doing what we can to help those who are saving lives in this time of crisis. We are prototyping simple apps that might potentially help our healthcare providers to expand their capacity to do their job.

We will be back full-on with game development once things are under control, or that there is absolutely nothing else in our power we can do to help.

Sandbox Mode Now Supports VR (as of 1.08)

Why add VR? Well, Why not? Don't worry, this won't take us away from the main road map. It was not a lot for us to add this feature. However, this game is not a VR game, so our VR feature is only there to let players admire the ship they build in an immersive way.

Update notes:
- added Steam VR support
- added the VR Station furniture
- added VR drone that lets player take a virtual tour of the ship when using the VR Station
- added VR player controller and collision physics (not perfect, you might fall out the ship and have to restart the game)
- added teleportation mechanics in VR
- added a RoboCorp Droid on to the RoboBed furniture
- added ragdoll physics to RoboCorp Droid on the RoboBed furniture when entered VR mode

To take the VR tour of your ship:
1) go to the hanger and install the VR Station furniture into a ship module
2) attach the ship module with the VR Station to your capital ship
3) walk up to the ship and enter VR mode
4) put on your VR headset
5) Controls: movement - Left controller thumbstick, turn - Right controller thumbstick, teleportation - Right controller thumbstick Click
6) to exit VR, go back to the VR station and physically push the "Exit VR" button in VR then take off your VR headset to resume the game

Please note that the framerate might drop a few (not too noticeable) after you exit VR and have the VR headset plugged in. To increase framerate back to normal, simply unplug the VR headset and select "quit SteamVR" when prompted. This framerate glitch will be fixed in a later update.

Sandbox Pre-Alpha Update 1.07

- added a turbo lift (fast travel) from hanger straight to Ship Dock
- fix Module collision in the hanger

- ability to save using the beds in capital ships

- Adjusted player 3rd person camera to be more centered

Sandbox pre-alpha 1.06 update

1.06 Update Note:
- remove collision from modules during assembly (then you can't walk through, still need to add another state to it to fix that)
- Logi7 is now functional (but forgot to disable Gravity Zone collider render, so you'll see a white box which you can walk through)
