Update 1533 - Shrike Pistol and New Map Maker Tools
[previewyoutube="MOQ3zySypNU;full"]
Hello everyone and welcome to Intruder update build number 1533!
This update brings two big changes to Intruder, the new Shrike pistol and updates to make map making easier than ever!
Shrike Pistol
Guards have upgraded their arsenal with a new sidearm! The Shrike deals 25 damage, with very accurate hip fire and door penetration that falls off with distance.
A new attachment, the laser sight, makes its debut on the Shrike! Use the keybind to turn the laser on of off.
New empty animations for both pistols with matching sound effects to let you know you need to reload!
Intruder Map Maker 2.02
SabreCSG plugin integration allows you to build complete maps in Unity with SabreCSG!
Added support for reverb and sound volumes (spooky vents coming soon).
Equipment Sets makes it easy to customize equipment for both teams! The old equipment system is deprecated but still works so old maps still work!
Pickups are updated to use Item Proxies which include the new Shrike pistol and Bush Camouflage!
Warning and confirmation popups so you know what's up when things aren't working.
Bug Fixes
Microphone saving and loading fixed, Remember to use your mic to communicate with your team!
Additional small bug fixes as usual.

Update 1489 - New Oceanside & Smoother Gunplay!
Hello everyone and welcome to Intruder update build number 1489!
This update brings changes focused on making gameplay and gunplay feel smooth and consistent. There is also an update to Oceanside which you can learn more about down below!
Aiming and Shooting
When aiming down the sights of a weapon your field of view will lower smoothly rather than the instant shift present in previous builds. This should make it easier to stay focused on a target when switching from hip fire to aiming down the sights.
Gun sway after aiming down sights has been greatly reduced making it easier to lock onto an enemy and take the shot before it's too late.
A new option to choose whether or not your sensitivity is lowered when you aim down sights. (default from older builds is to have this enabled)
FOV has been increased from 70 degrees vertical to 74 degrees vertical (106 degrees horizontal on 16:9).
Default framerate is now uncapped with vsync turned off for extremely smooth aiming and shooting. Check the graphics options menu.
Shooting an enemy or getting shot now has a distinct and gruesome hit sound along with a spray of blood indicating where the shot hit. Use this to your advantage to deduce where you or your teammate are getting shot from or confirming your own shots. Listen closely to the video below: [previewyoutube="15yYgkdj3Tw;full"]
Tooltip for focusing while aiming down sights updated to display the correct keybind for players who use hold ADS instead of toggle ADS.
Energy and Motion
Walking no longer reduces the rate of energy recovery so you don't need to stop and go in order to keep your energy up. Crouch-walking and running still drain your energy, but you can transition to walking instead of having to stop and rest.
The amount of energy lost from shooting while moving has been lowered somewhat so you can take some shots while motion without draining all of your energy.
Dropshotting in Intruder is now a thing of the past! If you drop to prone immediately after shooting or sprinting it will take longer for you to take your weapon back out to engage with the enemy.
General Changes
Dead bodies no longer spawn when someone joins a match mid-round. No more spooky bodies to startle you as you sneak out with the print room package!
Hand signal sound priority has been fixed so it doesn't get drowned out on noisy maps.
The default match mode is now best 3 or 5 rounds per set before a team switch on all maps except Mountainside.
The Mountainside round timer has been reduced to 10 minutes.
The LMS game mode now allows you to join any team regardless of team balance.
The dreaded "Cliffside bug" as it were will now ask all players to reconnect. Auto-reconnect probably coming in the future.
Oceanside Update
The new Oceanside update keeps the map we all know and love, but gives it a facelift with new lighting, sightlines, and sounds! Check out this video: [previewyoutube="AqLbeGsdKZw;full"] We've also made some changes and additions:
Shotgun added
Sun added
Round timer added
Fixed collisions
Wall chunking from bullet hits
Trees actually light
Bedroom ready for action
Replaced those old crappy doors with the lovely new doors

You can walk silently by aiming down your sights! While it is slower than walking, it doesn't drain your energy like crouch-walking does.
Update 1461 - BE THE BUSH
Hello everyone and welcome to Intruder update build number 1461!
This update brings detonators for remote charges, a new gadget, and some squashed bugs! [previewyoutube="Hvu0KXZ9RdE;full"]
New Additions:
Remote Charge Detonators
One of the most important gadgets in a guards arsenal is the remote charge, but what use is an explosive without a detonator? These nifty new detonators feature four LED lights that keep track of how many explosives you have placed, and let you know when they're ready to go!
Bush Camouflage
[previewyoutube="n9xXATpW5rk;full"] The Bush Camouflage is a new gadget in Intruder that helps players who prefer to sneak their way around an enemy or lie in wait for an ambush. Custom made from native fauna the Bush Camouflage is ideal for sneaking through garden, even in broad daylight! While it only takes up a single gadget slot, it is a full body suit and thus makes it impossible to use a weapon while you are concealed. No need to worry though, your wit can be your greatest weapon! Take advantage of your elusiveness and gather intel on the enemy, avoid enemy encounters, or lie in wait waiting to pounce on an unaware enemy!
Bug Fixes + Changes
A "Refresh" button has been added to the server browser screen.
"FPS Jumping" has been patched out. Players are no longer able to take to the skies and reign terror from above.
The Mirror Camera cannot be phased through objects anymore. This means you cant see an enemy through a wall, and they can't see you either.
Players are no longer able to duplicate items while recovering from a large fall. Don't worry, there are still plenty of red dots to go around.
Weapon attachments can be dropped directly from the weapon without causing issues when trying to pick up the same attachment next round. Remember, sharing is caring!
Many more minor changes that would be boring to read, instead check out this sick play!
[previewyoutube="wdyDjPXSKn4;full"]
While the Bush Camouflage is only available for pickup on official maps, it should be coming to the Map Maker shortly.

Along with the models they have some blueprints here. Let's see,it looks like the new pistol is called the..... ------[End Transmission]------

Sneak Peek | New Game Menu & Inventory System
Intruder agents, this is agent Ryguytheguy transmitting a message from the Mountainside transmission tower.
After hacking the computers of the Cliffside facility I was able to grab some top secret info regarding a future update to the game menu and inventory system! See below for the information and a mission briefing on what you can do to help.
Game Menu Update
I found quite a few top secret files that I have uploaded here, make sure no guards are watching and take a peek.
agent_info.sbg - It looks like the guards have made a system to keep track of agents in the field. They have the ability to view the online profile, reputation, and username of any agent at their location. They can also take actions to kick and report dishonorable agents.
team_select.sbg - The team selection tab is a way for agents to see who is playing and choose a team before deploying on a mission. Clicking the (i) icon will bring you to the agent info tab I previously revealed so you can learn about who you're with and who you're up against.
team_info.sbg - The team tab is similar to the selection tab but can be accessed while in the field. You can see the current match history with the score keeper in the bottom right corner.
objective.sbg - The guards have outdone themselves this time and added map functionality to the objective menu. Now rookie agents can get right into the battle with access to callouts, room layouts, and objective locations.
Inventory Update
A new inventory system is being developed right under our noses! The guards seem to have taken inspiration from Resident Evil games to develop a more robust system.
inventory_system.sbg - This new way to hold items may prove beneficial for future missions. The inventory system has changed from a grid based inventory to a slot system. There are four different types of slots. Front and back item slots can hold a large weapon/tool, the holster slot can hold a pistol, and packs are slots designated for smaller tools and gadgets. The list of items and their corresponding slots can be found below.
SMG - Front/Back
Sniper - Front/Back
Shield - Front/Back
Beanbag Shotgun - Front/Back
Pistol - Holster
Concussion Grenade - Pack
Remote Charges - Pack
Smoke Grenades - Pack
CS Gas Grenades - Pack
Mirror Camera - Pack
Laser Sensors - Pack
Lock Pick - Pack
Cardboard Decoy - Pack
Red Dot - Pack or Front/Back if SMG is equipped
How you can help
I am sending this critical intelligence to HQ, but have been requested to run it by our top agents to see how we can adopt these new systems and make them optimal for use in the field. Your input is important, mission success is dependent on your success, so help us help you. We want to know if this system can be better tailored for your needs. Should there be more inventory slots, where should ammo be held, or is any part of the interface confusing? Leave feedback below and I'll make sure your input is sent to the right place so the team can get these updates to you for your future missions. If you have more to discuss drop in to our secure channel where you can talk directly to HQ, gather teammates for a mission, share mission reports, and more.
Ryguytheguy, over and out.

Can anybody else say w00t w00t? This update finally features item and weapon dropping from your inventory!
Searching the map for weapons and item management are core to Intruder gameplay. Until now, you were restricted to finding items already placed on the map. With this update, that restriction is gone. You can clear up some inventory space as well as drop munitions for teammates.
Though it may seem small, item dropping could greatly affect the gameplay and meta strategies. A sniper can switch to a defender if they want to make room for a shield. Guards could lend more sensors and charges to their teammate in charge of rigging. An Intruder may be tempted to pick up a dropped SMG on Mountainside, only to find out its a trap.
In order to drop an item, open your inventory screen (keybind: I) and then drag any item out of the grid. It will be dropped on the ground below you. Note that the radio, mirror camera, and lock pick cannot be dropped. Currently, when you drop a weapon, its loaded and stashed ammo will be dropped with it.
This system will change slightly with coming developments. When we implement the new inventory system with the new in-game menu, we will probably separate weapon and ammo into different slots. What do you think though? Does it lend itself to new game modes? How would being able to loot any dead body affect play and how ammo could be distributed?
The following bugs were also fixed in 1337:
Seeing shield through smoke fixed
Seeing blood through smoke fixed
Riverside shutters and sliding window frames don't allow charges or sensors to stick
As usual, the community will be chillin' at the official Discord https://superbossgames.com/chat . Hope to see you there and to see how these new features play out. Til next time!

As usual, we'll be hanging out on the community Discord at https://superbossgames.com/chat . See you there!
Reddit Cool Clips Contest Results
Heyo, it's Ryguytheguy here with some community content!
While playing Intruder you never know if there's a guard that is already a step ahead of you, a banana behind that door, or if that surprisingly handsome intruder is actually made of cardboard. That's why I hosted a contest on Reddit to get some cool clips to show off the crazy conundrums that happen in Intruder. With three categories (Sillly, Sneaky, Big Play) users submitted gameplay footage showcasing their top moments in Intruder.
The Winners
The winners of each category were the users who had the most cumulative upvotes in that category.
The winners for each category are:
Sneaky - u/unluckymadman
Silly - u/Niasty
Big Play - u/unluckymadman
Each of these users received a reddit community award on their most upvoted post.
The Entries
Each entry was flaired using the sneaky, silly, or big play flairs. Users were allowed one entry per day per category and the clips had to be their original content. Let's check them out!
Silly I melted Asper - u/unluckymadman Usually intruders are cool as ice, but unfortunately u/theunluckymadman got the drop on them, literally, and secured the arrest.
Death - u/HiGHBurrito After taking out the dirty laundry, this intruder is left squeaky clean. A great use of the movable laundry carts in the community map Motel.
Package swap - u/Niasty Picking up a package from your teammate's back is usually not a good call, but it can be useful in certain situations. Unfortunately in this situation it was not very useful.
Sesni Scream - u/unluckymadman Having a professional to clean your air ducts can reduce symptoms of ashtma, allergies, headaches, and more. Having an intruder clean your air ducts, on the other hand, may increase the risk of heart attack.
The 'Nan Plan - u/SpoooKyCubed No matter how tactical you are, the banana is always one step ahead of you. Until you step on it, then it's one step behind you and you're arrested.
Zero-G strats - u/Niasty In space, no one can hear you scream. Despite that, everybody can't help but laugh at these zero gravity strats.
Sneaky A Not-So Great Escape - u/unluckymadman While this post sneaked its way to top place as the only entry in the sneaky category, nothing sneaks past the sharp-shooting guards watching docks.
Big Play Sample room 1v2 - u/Niasty It does not matter if you are outnumbered, patience and wit can get you out of a sticky situation. Destroying precious samples may get you into one, you never know what's in those vials...
Grenade headshot - Add13UK All the way from across the parking lot u/Add13UK manages to kill an intruder with a 'nade to the noggin.
D-D-D-Double Kill - u/unluckymadman While the title of this post suggests otherwise, all of the guards in this clip were taken out with non-lethal attacks.
Stopping the Rush - u/unluckymadman Nobody should feel embarrassed for needing to call in backup, but if your backup is embarrassingly late you might want to get better backup.
My Best Flick - u/unluckymadman Even though there was no 360 and the nonlethal shotgun has no scope, this is still a pretty slick flick.
My first highlight video - u/VadimTawer To the window, to the wall, this vid has got it all. Lockpicking, breaking glass, explosions, empty mags, camera sticks, and even an arrest at the end. What more could you ask for?
Well, I guess that was all of the entries. If you want to see or share more intruder content stop on by the Intruder subreddit! You can catch longer videos or other community contests. If you just want to chat with other players, find a game, or get some help with the game the discord channel is where it is at!
Hey all, just wanting to keep you guys abreast of what we've been working on.
I've been working on some updates to key gameplay bugs that players have been mentioning. Want to tie up some old bugs and exploits to keep that gameplay smooth and fair. We got a whole list of them mentioned on the Discord ( https://superbossgames.com/chat ) . Some of these little bugs are taking longer than I would like, but they're gettin' there. That said, the HUD update seems to be going well with no huge issues.
The others have been working to get the new website and profiles running like you see above! It's looking very cool and will allow us to better track player stats and eventually be used for the player progression systems we want to implement.
Austin has also been working on some Discord integration in hopes of letting you invite players into matches straight from the chat. This should be useful for organizing clan matches or just some pick-up games. We've heard people would also like this kind of feature available via the Steam friends and chat so we'll be checking that out as well.
As usual, you'll know we'll be hanging out on the Discord https://superbossgames.com/chat Until next time!
