Get your hooves ready to finally dress up your Iron Snout pig with colorful outfits from Snoutfit DLC! Here's a short list of information bites to those, who are hungry for more information:
Planned release date is... June 18!
Snoutfit DLC will contain 3 unique outfits on release
One more outfit will be added later with no change in price
DLC will be priced at $1.99 and have 10% launch discount
Core game will be updated with a bunch of UI improvements and bug fixes
Due technical issues DLC and main game updates will be Windows-only for now
This DLC will also be a way to support my development of Iron Snout, Bacon May Die (coming out soon™) and future pig-related games! Some people asked to add a "donation DLC, but I just don't feel comfortable with giving nothing back, so a bundle of cosmetic items seems like the best solution!
If you can't afford it, make sure to follow me on Twitter or Facebook, because that's where giveaways happen!
You can already wishlist the DLC on its store page (work in progress):
https://store.steampowered.com/app/826650/Iron_Snout__Snoutfits_DLC/ Haters will say that it's too late, but I'm very excited about releasing this, since Snoutfit DLC got me an excuse and motivation to work on Iron Snout again and now I have a few ideas for cool future content. Don't want to get anyone too excited - let's see how this turns out first!
Let me know if you have any questions! Or if you have any quick bug reports or UI issues with Iron Snout game itself, let me know if the comments and I'll try to fix it for this upcoming update.
It's been a while since we talked and I'd like to share some things I'm currently working on with you!
Many of you asked about cosmetic items for the pig, some of you wanted a way to get the game to stay in the library, others were nice enough to ask for a way to support my game development. So, I finally found someone to help me with Iron Snout art and am happy to announce that a cosmetic DLC which should answer all previous questions is in development!
I will share more details as soon as possible, but for now I just want to assure you that outfits won't provide any in-game advantage, but hopefully it will give me some funds and motivation to update the core game with more content! Also, there is an idea about workshop integration, but that one is for the future!
Let me know what you think about this? Would you buy such DLC? What kind of character outfits would you like to see in Iron Snout?
Maybe next to wolf fighting you also have skills with vector art and would like to draw another skin for the DLC? If so, send me your portfolio to snoutupgames@gmail.com and maybe we can work something out!
Bacon May Die
Some of you already know that I've been working on another pig-related beat'em up game called Bacon May Die. It's going pretty slow, but my current plan is to get it out in Early Access before July. You can already wishlist it and don't forget to follow my Twitter for any updates!
If you like giving feedback to games and am interested in trying Bacon May Die, you can apply to get beta key. Instructions are here, just keep in mind that not everyone gets in:

Recently I quit my job, so I could fully work on my games and attempt to make a living out of them. A risky choice, but it's been going okay so far thanks to all of you, who play and share my games around! That makes you most awesome in my book! Any time I see someone mentioning Iron Snout to their favorite Youtube gamer it makes me super warm inside! Thank you!
So, if you'd like to join the awesome people club, easiest way is to just play my games, try their mobile versions and share them with friends!
Check them out: http://games.snoutup.com/
That's all! But if you want, you can also follow me on Twitter or Facebook:
That's it for now! Let me know what you think about all this, I'll check the comments and forums often.
See you very soon! Cheers and oinks!
Bacon is in the pan!

I wrote a post about my plans for Steam version and will answer your questions here: http://steamcommunity.com/games/646240/announcements/detail/1452828499059161091 If you want to try it out in your web browser (core mechanics will stay, but controls for Steam version might change depending on feedback) or mobile phone, it's available for free in these locations:
If you'd like to join beta testing on Steam, I'm gonna be distributing few keys on my Twitter and will share more around in game community forums soon. Expect more action to happen in September (I'm gonna be away for a few weeks now)!
Have an idea of what you would like to see in Steam release? It can be anything (except online multiplayer, sorry)! Go, post it in this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/646240/discussions/0/1470842897552631633/
Hope you will like it and help me in making it more fun! I can't wait to hear your feedback!

Bacon May Die: plans & Android release
Hurray! We did it! Or, more correctly, you did it! My new Bacon May Die game got Greenlit in 9 days! Pleasantly surprising! Can't thank you enough, but I can write up a general roadmap for it.
Android release I'm currently working on new enemies and mechanics, which I test in Android version. If you can download it, it would be awesome to hear what you think about it:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snoutup.baconmaydie
Bacon May Die Steam For Steam I'm thinking about going through Early Access with this, because I believe a lot of cool things could be added with the help and ideas from community. This way I could bring the game to you faster, cheaper and have an excuse for any issues you might encounter, while I work on fixing them.
If you played Android version, you might notice it has both auto-aim and auto-running enabled. The plus side is that keeping controls that simple in PC release too would allow me to have 2-3 player local co-op modes easily without a need of controllers, but I'm gonna need your input on that. Another option would be making co-op modes with simpler controls and allowing full movement in single player.
There's no schedule, but I plan starting closed PC version testing in a few weeks and hoping to release Early Access version before summer ends.
How can you help? Here are some ways you could help me get this game faster to Steam:
* Play Bacon May Die on Android, share it around and let me know what you think about it
* Suggest new enemy types, melee weapons, guns, spells and character outfits
* Follow me on Twitter - I'll share beta keys there!
* Play Iron Snout and suggest it to your favorite youtubers or streamers when they look for new games (always awesome to see)!
* Be patient - I'm doing this alone, so it takes longer than I would like to
Thank you for all the support! I'll keep you updated!
Vote for Bacon May Die (Greenlit!)
Hello, iron snouts!
Hope you're doing well and your fingers aren't completely tired from all the button mashing! I would like to ask you to use them for one more mouse click, which would help to get another pig fighting game on Steam!
Bacon May Die is a side-scrolling beat em up which mixes up melee fighting and gun play in an accessible and enjoyable way. Think Iron Snout, but this time with actual movement! And just like Iron Snout it has over-the-top cartoon violence and every move is a fighting move. That's how I like them!
So, please, leave a vote, so this piggy could pass the Greenlight before it closes its doors (yup, Greenlight will be no more soon) - I'm worried that I might not be able to afford Steam Direct fee later.
Do you have an idea for a gun? Melee weapon? A silly outfit? Gameplay mechanic? Enemy type? Environmental kill? Then leave a comment or write me directly: snoutupgames@gmail.com!
Thank you!
P.s. Thanks to all your support Iron Snout got a mention in Kotaku for being one of the best rated games on Steam! It made my day - you're all awesome!

Iron Snout+ for iOS!
Hey, bacon heroes!
This time I have good and bad news to Apple users. The good news is... I released the updated version of Iron Snout to iTunes, so you can grab your iPhones or iPads and control the piggy with swipes & taps, which can be very satisfying!
Get it here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iron-snout+/id1162897879
Share it around with friends who would enjoy snout kicking! These mobile releases are the only way I earn a bit of money from my game development, so getting more players in them is important, but also very hard to do alone.
The Android version has already been downloaded more than 5000 times, which is super awesome!
Now, the bad news... I still can't release updated Mac version. I now have an access to the hardware needed, but it looks like there are big crash-y buggy issues related to latest GameMaker:Studio and Mac OSX (maybe only Sierra, I still don't know). I'm in contact with GM developers and hopefully we will find a solution soon.
Hope to bring you good news in the near future! I'll try to get my new game ready for Greenlight this year, so keep your eyes open for that one!
See you later! Have a great day!
Iron Snout+ for Android!
Hey, pork-fu masters!
After a long delay an updated mobile version with most of Steam goodies (graphical upgrades, both areas and all enemies) are available for Android devices!
Download steamed Iron Snout+ here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snoutup.ironsnoutsteamed
If you have an older Android device (2-3+ years) let me know how well it runs Iron Snout, because I tried my best to keep the performance up.
iOS update together with OSX update for Steam will be next, but I can't give you exact time frame just yet - still don't have access to a Mac to build that stuff on.
---
Bonus news! I'm making a new game and would love to hear your thoughts about it. It's a tiny RPG autorunner with tons of character outfits (the thing which was missing in Iron Snout), a lot of fighting and with even more silliness. Should I put it on Steam? Try it out and let me know:

See you later! Keep being awesome!
CITY area is public!
Hello, iron snouters!
new area (let's call it Wolf City) just went live to public! Thank you all for waiting and thanks to all, who helped to test it in beta.
* only in Windows version at the moment, Linux should go live this week and OS X update be delayed for a longer while
Here's a short version of the "what's new list":
City area is new
New wolves (skateboarder, footballer, Wolfie Cyrus, shielded wolf)
New outfits for basic wolves
Weapons will now break after one strike, but pierce multiple enemies
New leaderboards
9 new achievements!
Your old scores can be seen in "HISTORY"

Can't promise that everything works perfectly and I doubt that I'll manage to fix that "statistic glitch" which happened a lot, so if you'll discover any new/old bugs, contact me via Twitter or email:
https://twitter.com/SnoutUp
hi@snoutup.com
I hope you'll like new content and features! If you do - recommend Iron Snout to your favorite youtuber or record video yourself! Super appreciate everyone helping out and sharing the game around!
Later!
CITY is in beta!
Hey, wolf hunters!
You can now opt-in in Iron Snout beta channel and try out new level before everybody else does!
Go to game PROPERTIES, BETAS tab and select that beta! Like this:
Game should re-download and you should see level select in the main menu. Try fighting new enemies and let me know if there's something I should fix before completely public release.
If you're not in a mood for beta testing, just wait a couple of days until it goes live for everyone!
Top fight leaderboards will be RESET, because of significant balance changes and there will be new leaderboards for city level only. TOTAL KILLS leaderboard will be removed, because those achievement glitches completely ruined it. Sorry for that.
P.s. I'm recovering well from my injuries mentioned in previous announcement and everything should be just fine!
---
By the way, I'm making a new game, which is about pig (what a surprise!) fighting various enemies with various weapons. At the moment it looks like this:
I really hope you will enjoy it as much as Iron Snout!
