  • Fixed loading from a save-game causing duplicate items from players inventory to appear on the floor in a circle
  • Significant optimisation on projectile spawning
  • Fixed placeable building hologram not disappearing after closing the building menu
  • Building UI now can be closed with right-click (you do not have to use ‘B’ to leave the menu)
  • Fixed issue where placeable items could not be placed in player built buildings
  • Removed prison overalls from possible loot spawns

Jaws of Extinction: Private Alpha is LIVE



We're excited to announce the Jaws of Extinction Private Alpha is now live!

Firstly, we'd like to say a big thank you for supporting Jaws of Extinction in its early stages! We're excited to show you the world of Eden-Nadir and a taste of some of the dynamics to come.

Being in such an early stage of development, you may experience some bugs and performance issues. Some of the issues we are aware of and that you may encounter, are:


  • Building snapping
  • Interactive object saving (such as building placements)
  • Performance dips on AI spawns
  • Overall world performance


We are working tirelessly to overcome these problems; some of which already have solutions and we will be providing various patches in the coming days.

We will be issuing Private Alpha Steam Keys to email addresses linked with pre-orders and Kickstarter pledges - starting now! Please give 48 hours before contacting a member of staff regarding a key.

Any additional rewards purchased via pre-order or Kickstarter will not be available during the Private Alpha. When applicable, additional Steam Keys will be released to unlock content.

The private alpha will span around 70% of the full map, with the final 30% being released as the story of Eden-Nadir grows. Development will continue on the playable part of the map until it is just right!

9 Days of Spit and Polish



We are going to try and bring you a little something for the next nine days leading up to our private alpha soft release. First off, we have been optimising more to bring stunning visuals to JoEGame that perform well.

UPDATED: PROTOTYPE PATCH NOTES 0.16.0 - (Mini) Patch



We've been hard at work this week on preparations for upcoming early access - but we have also been conscious to tackle some of the bigger issues identified affecting the live Prototype. This week's patch is more of a mini-patch but contains some essential fixes concerning the Networking and NPCs


  • Notable networking improvements. Clients joining a host should find their movement is much smoother

  • Wanderers no longer drop to the deck and flop like a fish. An issue where wanderers would continue to run their movement animations while ragdolled on the floor has been fixed.
