We're pleased to announce a new update will be making its way to Jurassic World Evolution on 17 April!
Update 1.7 will be the latest free update to come to the game, complete with a brand new, highly requested feature that we can't wait to see what you do with!
Capture Mode
We've done some calculations, and to date, players have spent over 4,600 days taking photos with the ranger camera; that's a lot of photos! We know how much a number of players enjoy taking amazing photos, and we love seeing your creations. So with the new Capture Mode, you'll be able to pause the game and gain control of a new free-form camera with a slew of options to play with in order to get your perfect photo.
Hide the UI for a clean look
Choose between various aspect ratios to match the different films
Time controls to slow down time and capture amazing scenes
Find the perfect angle with the free-form camera
The new Capture Mode will be accompanied by various bug fixes which we hope will make your playing experience even better. There will be more information available when the update goes live on 17 April, but for now, be sure to check out our weekly livestreams on www.twitch.tv/frontierdevelopments to have some fun, relax and chat to us!
See you on the islands!

Jurassic World Evolution - Update 1.6 Coming On The 13th December!
Hello everyone,
With just a few more weeks left in the year, we're happy to announce another new update is coming to Jurassic World Evolution on 13 December!
Update 1.6 will be the latest free update to hit the islands, with a slew of new sandbox options, additional maps added to challenge mode, and more.
Challenge Mode Additions
We've expanded challenge mode to include all of the islands, including the locations in Secrets of Dr. Wu if you own the DLC; that's 7 new challenges that await you! You'll need to think smart, manage your money (and dinosaurs), and act fast in order to secure the all new Challenge Mode dinosaur skins. Do you have what it takes to try Jurassic difficulty?
One of the features you have been asking for is more sandbox options to give more of an unlimited feel to the sandbox experience, and that's exactly why we've added the ability to adjust the following options:
Dinosaur aggression, stop them fighting, make them fight more, plus some more specific options so you can play how you want to play.
Disable failed incubations, so you'll always have a 100% success rating when incubating your dinosaurs.
Toggle to disable specific requirements for dinosaurs such as population, social and habitat; now you won't need to worry about your Ankylosaurus needing some alone time!
Charge the Hammond Foundation fee. Just in case you want to add a little more challenge to your sandbox.
These new features will be accompanied by a host of smaller tweaks and fixes designed to make your playing experience even more smooth and enjoyable. We'll have more information available when the update goes live on 13 December, but in the meantime tune in to our weekly livestreams on www.twitch.tv/frontierdevelopments to hang out and chat to us about all things Jurassic World Evolution!
See you on the islands!
Frontier's 24 Hour Charity Stream 2018!
Hello everyone,
It's that time of the year again, where it's all about giving, sharing, and celebrating. And of course we wouldn't have it any other way then to celebrate this time with you...
Frontier's 24 Hour Charity Stream!
On 17 December, 2018 (midday UTC), Frontier will be starting our fourth annual Charity livestream to raise money for SpecialEffect, a wonderful charity which helps people with physical disabilities use technology and play videogames. It's a charity we are all incredibly passionate about, and last year we raised over £58,000 together with you all - we can't wait to reach more milestones this year and have 24 hours full of fun activities for you to enjoy. We will be hosting several activities in the weeks to come as well as during the 24 hour stream, which will end on 18 December, midday UTC.
Charity Auction
This year we've got another exciting Charity Auction lined up for you; this Auction features unique prizes that you can bid on, like two special Elite Dangerous paintjobs, signed props from our Jeff Goldblum interview earlier this year, or a unique Planet Coaster cushion set (and loads more, don't worry!). We will post separately about all the prizes you can bid on in the coming week. All of the money from the Charity Auction goes to our Just Giving page for SpecialEffect, and you will receive your amazing prize (if you are the highest bidder) after the Charity stream.
Charity Sweepstake
The Charity Sweepstake is the final hour of the livestream (so 11AM UTC on 18 December) and it's the hour during which we give out loads of amazing prizes to our wonderful community. For every £1 you donate to our Just Giving campaign between now and 18 December 11 AM UTC, you get 1 entry into the prize draw (so if you donate £10, you get 10 entries, and so forth). At the end of the stream we will pick winners together on screen, so make sure to donate and enter your email address (the optional field at donation, not as a comment) for a chance to win one of the following amazing prizes:

Milestones!
You are changing lives by donating to SpecialEffect and for that we cannot thank you enough! During the 24 hour livestream, for every £1,000 we reach in donations, we have a milestone activation - this will unlock a special giveaway or some secret Frontier content for you! So do keep supporting the cause during the stream as much as you can, and help us reach our target goal of £30,000!
Streaming Schedule
We've also enlisted the help of some fabulous community content creators to help us raise as much money as possible. During the 24 hours, we have a separate streaming schedule where you can always find someone playing the game or doing charity challenges with their communities. We will post the full roster as soon as possible.
Thank you as always for the incredible and valuable support during the past year; from the launch of Jurassic World Evolution to the community meet-ups and the countless game updates, it means the world to us to have you by our side. We hope you're excited to join our cause and our celebration, and remember that it's all going towards SpecialEffect. Every little bit makes a huge difference in someone else's life.
