Hey! I've posted a short devlog video about some Post Processing experiments I've been trying out for Kitten Burst!

Development on Part C: is going well! I'm finishing up the penultimate level right now, with a wild bossfight! The ETA for the full release is still winter but it might be early early 2024. I'll have more news to share next month.

  • Cyberspace Atlas: New Level Select Menu at the hub. Quickly see the stats of all of the races/bossfights you've experienced and hyperlink back to them!
  • Cleaner loading transitions
  • Sonar now shows a grid scan pulse (Helpful in dark areas!)
  • Increased how long node waypoints stay up during a race after a sonar pulse
  • Added a new FirstPerson (FirstCat?) HeadCam Hat!
  • Added some missing flavor text to hats
  • Fixed mesh tearing on Hapi (you could see through their head for a couple frames during a barrel roll, also long-hat looked broken in some angles)
  • Increased the resolution of the Gacha tokens
  • Fixed duplicate character on Firefray
  • Fixed pause background diamond pattern (wasn't tiled correctly before)
  • Renamed one of the circuits because I named two of them "Labyrinth" and didn't notice...

-Fixed Bossfight showing DNF after complete bug.
-Reduced number of nodes needed for the DigiGal race
-Removed floating s4br in the arbormyth (Her model is used as a scale reference when making levels)

Kitten Burst v2.02 - Patch Notes

-Fixed potential soft lock on Planet eClips

-Fixed a bug where Bossfights weren't calculating ION energy gained. ( If you encountered this, entering and exiting a boss fight will now fix this and give you your ION energy )

-solid/liquid states are now saved between levels

-Changed the blocker mechanics to only block movement inputs ( You can now pause or quick restart )

-keys no longer used after collecting everything

Kitten Burst v1.06 - Patch Notes

-Changed video file formats to work on Linux + Steam Deck.

If you're using a Steam Deck, I'd recommend using High quality settings, with Grass/Foliage set to Off.

-Changed checkpoint hit sounds to be categorized as SFX instead of music.
-Changed compression settings for UI elements, which should prevent blurriness in lower graphics settings.
