Dazzle with Aerial Supremacy this season during the Flight of Freedom!
Thousands of years ago, Jatayu and Sampati soared in the skies. They were the sons of Aruna, the charioteer of Surya, the sun god. To test the limit of their power, the brothers began a race towards the sun.
Greetings Yodhas!
Are you done buffing up your decks and striking from the cosmos with the ephemeral property? For it’s time to step off the ground and demonstrate aerial dominance with our latest seasonal offering, Flight Of Freedom. Along with the new Karma Pass we’ve heard your feedback and tweaked Sugriva along with a few other QOL changes. Let’s dive in!
New Karma Pass: Flight Of Freedom
The sky's the limit now, as the Birds soar through the sky alongside you on your journey to ascend Mount Meru. Grab your Karma Pass now to instantly unlock Jatayu and fly up the Season track to get hold of Sampathi and Aruna. Our new cards also bring an exclusive new Property into the game: Swift!
New Property: Swift - Units with this property can attack twice in a turn.
Remember to check in over the next two months for Daily Quests, and Chapters while also chaining in win streaks for that extra Karma. Other pass rewards include tons of gold, shards and even random cards! Check out some of the new cards and hop in-game to grab them.
Sugriva Rebalance
We’ve heard your feedback and agree to Sugriva losing his coveted offensive edge. To combat damage stacking with Sugriva we’ve reworked his passive. Sugriva now gains +1 damage for every friendly vaanar on the board. We hope this now allows players to build a deck around him without ramping up massive amounts of damage.
QOL Changes
We’ve added a daily gold reward that can be collected from the store upon login. Heroes will now taunt their opponents with new voice lines on starting a match. We’ve removed the close button during the matchmaking process due to players encountering freeze issues. We are looking into a larger UI rework process for this. Players will now also have better FPS as we’ve added optimizations for the same.
We hope you enjoy the new Karma Pass and look forward to suggestions and feedback. If you’d like to get involved with our community and look for early updates, here are our links: Discord, Instagram and YouTube.

Bazaar, New Unit Frames and More!
Greetings Yodhas!
A new game update is now live!
We are excited to share the new features with you all. Let's jump straight to see what's new.
New Unit Frame Art
In order to give more importance to armour, we've given a fresh look to the Unit card frames. Our goal was to maintain simplicity while improving the overall attractiveness of the game board, especially when multiple units are deployed. This change also ensures better visibility of stat icons.
New Feature: Bazaar
A trader has set up shop in the game store! Bazaar is a new in-game feature that allows players to use their hard-earned shards to purchase specific cards and experience boosts! This addition aims to offer players more options in crafting their ideal decks faster without over-relying on the card packs.
New Cosmetic Items
Game boards from the story mode are now available to use in duels! You can now purchase and customize your board in the game (your half will look different from your opponent's – mix and match!). We are still working on several hero skins and card backs which will be introduced in a future update.
League Update
We've made small changes to the League system. It was very punishing for players to reach and stay in Immortal. We've made it so that players who reach Immortal now can no longer be demoted but their Karma will carry over to the next week so that player's who made it to immortal early will have an edge.
Balance Changes
Bheem
Bheem's performance has been pretty balanced in the current meta. The one design change we wanted to make was his abundance of Smash which makes certain cards redundant. We are still debating on how we can make his other smash cards more viable but for now we thought the best thing would be to remove Smash from one of his weapons and give it Overkill.
- Vrigodharam: Smash replaced with Overkill - Wind-up: Fixed an issue where the damage was being granted immediately rather than on weapon attack.
Bhishma
Bhishma has been significantly underperforming in the meta. The negative effects of certain night cards far outweighed the positive effects and thus have been removed. While we hope to see a much better win rate for him with these changes, we will be closely monitoring the abilities for swift correction if the need arises.
- Cheat Death: Soma Cost increased by 1. Bhishma can once again attack with Cheat Death active. Max copies limited to 1. - Divine Light: Now grants spell immunity to a unit. Soma Cost increased to 5. Rarity increased to Epic. - Ganga's Embrace: Health buff provided by this ability increased by 1 - Deep Freeze: Damage done to frozen enemies increased to 4 - White Warrior: Soma Cost reduction of spells reduced by 1 more (Total -3) - Ranged Dominance: Ranged units now gain +4 damage. Negative effect of not being able to deploy melee units has been removed - Pitamaha: Negative effect of not being able to attack the enemy Hero has been removed
Sugriva
The original design for Sugriva was to promote synergies with other Vaanar and Beast for a more unit-oriented playstyle. While his passive was intended to make up for the loss of key units and combo dangerously with his weapons, the damage ramp became too high, especially because it could boost even his base weapon which cannot be disarmed. This resulted in the ability to ramp up damage to very high amounts easily and without counter. With this change we hope to shift towards a more balanced playstyle where Sugriva will have enough defense to develop board control and rely on weapons to inflict damage directly.
- Tribe: Sugriva's passive now increases his health instead of damage when a friendly Beast or Vaanar dies. - Vaanar Sena (Night Card): Tribe property damage increase reduced to 3 from 4
Surpanakha
We feel that Surpanakha is in a strong spot. Her damage ramp up is deadly and this has always been the design intent. However, we don't want this to be the only way to play her. Hence, to promote other playstyles we are slightly buffing her other abilities.
- Art of Seduction: Soma Cost reduced by 1 - Stay a While: Charm is now permanent. Shifted to Night 3 - Meenakshi: Shifted to Night 2 - Selfish Drain: Can now drain health from any unit on the board. Soma Cost increased to 2 - Rakshasa Brothers: Shifted to Night 3. Changed to - Deploying a Rakshasa Unit creates an extra copy on the board - Blood Pact: Shifted to Night 2
Neutral Cards
- Acid Spew: Cost increased by 1. Rarity increased to Epic. - Armoured Elephant: Damage increased by 2. Smashes 2 instead of 1 now. - Armoured Vaanar: Armour increased by 1 - Bali: His damage steal ability actually steals now instead of copying half of opponent's damage - Battle Cry: Rarity increased to Epic - Blackout: Rarity increased to Epic - Blind Fury: Soma Cost reduced by 1 - Boulder Giant: Health increased by 1. Rarity decreased to Common - Buyout: Soma Cost reduced to 3 but now draws only 2 cards instead of 3 - Cave Giant: Damage and Health increased by 1 - Chakram Assassin: Rarity increased to Rare - Commander: Damage increased by 2 and Health increased by 1. Rarity increased to Epic. - Dark-Spirit Yaksha: Health reduced by 1 - Desert Naga: Rarity increased to Rare - Elephant: Health increased by 1. Rarity reduced to Common - Fearsome Rakshasi: Damage increased by 1. Rarity increased to Rare - Forest Giant: Damage increased by 1. Rarity increased to Rare - Forest Rakshasi: Rarity increased to Rare - Forest Yaksha: Health increased by 2 - Golden Mongoose: Soma Cost and Health reduced by 1 - Hooligan Vaanar: Damage reduced by 1 - Ice Giant: Stun property has been replaced with Freeze - Ignition: Can now target Heroes - Jamadhar Assassin: Now has the Bleed property. - Kaikesi: Increased health by 1 - Kesari: Health increased by 1 - Kukri Assassin: Health increased by 1 - Lightning Tiget: No longer has the Stun property. - Mace Warrior: health reduced by 1. Rarity increased to Rare - Major Heal: Healing reduced by 1 - Minor Heal: Soma cost increased by 1 - Orangutan Vaanar: Soma Cost increased by 2. Health increased by 1 - Rakshasa Mage: Damage increased by 1. Rarity decreased to Common - Reinforce: Reduced cost by 1 - River Giant: Health increased by 1 - River Rakshasa: Rarity decreased to Common - River Tigress: Health increased by 2 - Royal Guard: Rarity increased to Rare - Saka Horse Archer: Damage increased by 1 - Snow Leopard: Cost reduced by 1 - Spirit Tiger: Health reduced by 1. Rarity upgraded to Epic. - Spy: Health increased by 1. Rarity reduced to Rare - Two-handed Sword: Bleeds property has been replaced with Overkill. Damage increased by 1 - Urumi Assassin: Health increased by 2 - Vasuki: Soma Cost increased by 1 - Whiplash: Damage buff increased by 1
That's all for now.
See you in game!
Minor Hotfix
Greetings Yoddhas!
A small update is out!
In this hotfix, we've focused primarily on addressing bugs and stability issues.
Here are the details:
Fixed an issue which prevented players from transitioning to Hell Hard mode Fixed Night Cards for various Heroes which were causing desyncs Added a new Underworld Board Added a new Boon UI in the Story Campaign Fixed an issue which prevented players from saving their decks with specific cards Fixed an issue with Tiger Pup causing a freeze Fixed various desyncs and freezes
Upcoming Balance Changes
We've been collecting feedback and data on Duels to get a view on the overall game balance. While we debated to push some minor balance changes in this build, we feel some larger fixes are required.
Sugriva has been overperforming in the current meta and some nerfs for him are coming soon. We've been experimenting with tweaking his passive ability but we're not entirely happy with the results so far, hence the delay.
On the other hand, despite general buffs to defensive playstyles, we are still seeing that Bhishma is underperforming.
So, we are planning a larger balance update where we address all of these issues together. More on this soon!
That's all for now! See you in game!
In-Game Emotes: Greet, Cheer and Taunt!
Greetings Yoddhas!
In-Game Emotes
A short but fun update awaits! Our patch today will add a new In-Game Emotes feature to the game. Greet, cheer and taunt your opponents now as the new UI let’s players express themselves mid match. So, open your match up with a Namaste and throw in a boo when you stun your opponent, but do drop a respectful GG at the end.
We’ve also balanced some cards based on your feedback and hope to see you soon with a larger update!
Balance Changes
- Arjuna Indra's Shot no longer does damage. - Acid Spew breaks 2 armor instead of all armor. - Duryodhana: Kaurava Numbers Night Card - 2 brothers are deployed instead of 1. - Duroydhana: Berserkers Night Card - All units gain +2 dmg on losing health instead of +1 dmg. - Kirmira HP increased from 3 to 4. - Vasuki HP reduced from 8 to 6.
A short and sweet update for a much awaited feature, and we look forward to your suggestions and feedback. If you’d like to get involved with our community and look for early updates, here are our links: Discord, Instagram and YouTube.

Season 2 - Echoes of the Beast Now Live
‘Kalyug is upon us. The slow death of nature has begun. The forests of this land will dwindle, the birdsong will subside – all that will remain are the echoes of the great forests that were.” -Prithvi, the Earth Mother
Greetings Yoddhas!
We hope you went wild last season and enjoyed Sugriva and the Tribes of Kishkindha Karma Pass! But as we bid farewell to the last season let's take a look at what's in store for the next Karma Pass; Echoes of the Beast!
New Karma Pass:
The churning of the ocean eons ago, birthed great Cosmic Beasts to walk alongside you on your journey to ascend Mount Meru. Grab your Karma Pass now to instantly unlock Mayura and climb up the Season track. Our Cosmic Beasts also bring a new Property into the game, which we're going into details below.
Remember to check in over the next two months for Daily Quests, and Chapters while also chaining in win streaks for that extra Karma. Other pass rewards include tons of gold, shards and even random cards! Check out some of the new cards and hop in-game to grab them.
New Property: Ephemeral - Units with this property cannot be attacked directly by Hero or Units.
Gameplay Rebalance:
Embracing the Rogue-Lite, we’re shaking up the way Story Mode is approached. Chain up your wins, rend and claw your way up to bosses, because there are no more checkpoints to fall back to safety.
PvE has been rebalanced to make games faster and more exciting based on these changes, along with allowing players to loot a new card after every successful encounter. We hope this allows new players easier card collection and a better approach to deck building.
And perhaps our most exciting gameplay change, all Realms are now re-playable upon completion. So, are you ready for Yamraj to send you back to spawn?
Hero Cards have come to Card Packs!
Our focus on this update has been to make it easier for players to obtain cards and max out individual Hero Decks. Before this update Hero Cards were obtained through leveling your hero while Card Packs contained 3 neutral cards. With this update, we’ve moved most Hero Cards available through leveling and added them to Card Packs. Now, with a little bit of luck on your side, get powerful cards for your Hero early into the game!
Balance changes:
Our biggest change is to Vasuki. If a player has Vasuki deployed, a random 4-5 cost unit will be deployed at the end of every turn.
Other Card changes include: - Two-Handed Spear now has Guards but his damage is reduced to 3. - Tiny Rakshasa is now 2-0-1. - Pisacha is now 3-0-2. - River Rakshasa is now 2-0-2, no longer feeds. - Minor and Major heal now effects Hero - Lash Out not damages all units
We hope you enjoy the new Karma Pass and look forward to suggestions and feedback. If you’d like to get involved with our community and look for early updates, here are our links: Discord, Instagram and YouTube.
Note: We are aware of the issue with some players unable to collect Karma from quests. Please go back to Home Screen or restart the game and they will be collectible. Apologies for the inconvenience.
See you on the battlefield! Studio Sirah

New Realm: Prithvi, Night Mode and UI changes!
Greetings Yodhas!
Home is calling, the realm of man, vaanar and beast launches with this update, Prithvi! This update doesn’t just stop at a new realm but also brings a rework to our core card combat. We are redefining our meta and adding a unique mechanic carefully designed for Kurukshetra: Ascension. With player experience as our priority, the first rollout of our UI update and animation updates have also been implemented with this patch, along with some hero changes we hope to structure and balance the game with our new unique game mode in mind.
Let’s dive into it!
New Realm: Prithvi
The realm of mortals brings with it three distinct kingdoms, each with their own trials, twists and challenges, we did not want to make this one easy! Journey first to the Khandava forest, under Lord Indra’s protection, where you’ll face off against the mythic beasts of the realm. The first boss you encounter will be a known face to those enjoying the Tribes of Kishkindha Karma Pass with the ferocity of Jambavan to contend with.
The next stop along your hero's journey would be Kishkindha, home of the mighty Vaanar Sena. Leap and climb your way through the treehouses and vines until you meet your final champion, but we have added a twist to keep this bout interesting.
Lastly, contend with the champions of Magadha, the great bastion of humanity, now in turmoil. Make your way to the Rajgriha and challenge the King, but we don’t want to spoil the rest. Enjoy the Prithvi expansion on our stunning new board, and we can’t wait for you to play it.
Night Mode:
We’re in the Endgame now. We are redefining the way players approach combat with an overhaul to our core gameplay. Available to a Hero that has reached level 20, Night Mode. Inspired by our namesake, the great Kurukshetra war and battles of old, players are given time to strategize upon nightfall.
After playing 4 turns each, day turns to night on the battlefield. Turn five will be played by both players at the same time. This means you and your opponent will be playing actively not just to counter each other, but to make moves with the new cards being added that can be played on “night” turns. During this time both players make card and buff choices to strengthen their strategy.
This addition to card based combat is our approach to adding a mechanic unique to Kurukshetra: Ascension. Meta breaking and rebuilding is our goal and your feedback during this shakeup is going to shape the future of Kurukshetra: Ascension!
Stay tuned for more announcements about this game mode and check out the new card design coming with it!
Note: There is a known bug where in your very first night battle there is a small chance that your choice will get skipped. This will occur only on your first battle.
New UI and Animations:
We take player experience very seriously with every feature in the game, be it old or new. Our new UI aims to do much more than functionality - We have also crafted a new visual language inspired by thousands of years of Indian design.
We start this with a lobby refresh, where you can see new buttons and a visual aesthetic that fits with the core identity of Kurukshetra: Ascension. Check out the new buttons, hero portraits and more.
Card pack reveals needed to capture the epicness of earning that sweet sweet reward at the end of it. So, we’re rolling out a new graphic, animation and an announcer for extra pizazz. Now it feels oh-so much more satisfying when you find that legendary you’ve been chasing.
These are just a part of our UI updates with more to roll out over the course of future patches.
Balance Changes:
We've been noticing aggressive playstyles performing relatively better than others and certain neutral cards being widely used by all Heroes.
While this is not necessarily a bad thing, we feel it limits the uniqueness of the gameplay that each Hero has to offer, especially if these cards comprise a large portion of their decks.
So, we've decided to make some minor changes to the following cards...
Arjuna
Discharge cost reduced from 3 to 2 Soma. Manavastra now pierces as well. Execute cost reduced from 5 to 3 Soma. Gandiva now does not pierce.
Duryodhana
Gandhari’s Blessing cost increased from 2 to 3. Scavenger cost reduced to 3. Envy cost reduced from 2 to 1 Soma. Revenge now deals 5 damage to an enemy that attacked you last turn.
Bheem
Spotter is now a 0-0-4 ranged unit. Sutasoma damage reduced from 5 to 4. Flex now affects Heroes. Tree Hurl smashes 1 instead of 2. Bhishma
Freezing Arrow can now target heroes. Barrage can now Pierce. Divine light cost decreased from 3 to 2 Soma. Daze now costs 3 soma
Surpanakha
Charm now lasts until the end of your next turn. Convert cost decreased from 10 to 9 Soma. Betrayal cost reduced to 0 Soma
Neutral Blood Bag (Buff reduced from 3 to 2 Health) Knife Throw (Damage reduced from 3 to 2) Noose of Pain (Cost increased from 4 to 6)
All that being said? We haven’t been able to cover everything here and hope to see you discover the rest when playing the campaign! We hope you enjoy the new realm update and look forward to suggestions and feedback. If you’d like to get involved with our community and look for early updates, here are our links: Discord, Instagram and YouTube.
See you on the battlefield! Studio Sirah
