Fixed an issue with the main quest which allows you to move to Act II (the final act)
Also, added "click to read" hint to some lore books which you can read for hints.
I think I found a good solution to the minimap icons scaling properly for all mobs. I've updated the RAT minimap icon only in this build.
This method should keep the same scale for all mobs regardless of their size

Small update to fix the chest that contains the Dragon Circlet, part of main story quest, not appearing. A flag was set during the
framework upgrade which prevented it from appearing in game. Also, discovered you could grab more than 1 circlet which was not
intended.

Developer Notes
It was asked if the Watchtowers in Southern Westernlands had doors or could enter them. Nope, they are just decorative for the map.
Well, exiting EA by June failed. Getting close, though. Lots of bugs have been reported and fixed since the big framework upgrade in
January. Don't want to jynx myself, but, the players that have reported the most are starting to find less to report - yay!
With that in mind, I'm shooting for end of year to exit EA at the latest and September at the earliest. It's been a slog this year
but, worth it in the end - a better product for everyone.

Another suggestion that was brought up recently, upping the level cap to 65. The player felt, at 60, there wasn't enough skill points
to spend to better round out their party. The goal was to limit the number of Maxed skills; to make you think about your party builds,
have the fun for me. Let me know your thoughts on this one in discord or in the suggestion thread here on Steam.

Developer Notes
Fixed a couple of doors that were missed from the framework update. The Soduruin gate to S. Westernlands was completely broke.
I had to rebuild the collision and re-set the dialog event to work again.
Still going through the spellbook, tomes, and manual dialogs to make sure they are setup correctly. It's a slog; but, necessary.
Rather than wait until that is done, I decided to push this tiny update to fix these doors since I consider them game breaking.


  • Fixed - Master Healing Magic trainer door, in Edgefair, will be answered now
  • Fixed - Soduruin gate to S. Westernlands has been fixed and citizens may travel through once again.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

Fixed some more tomes/spell books. A few of these I had the checks wired up backwards. I'm going to spend this week going through
the dialog setups to see if there are anymore like this.

Necros and Arcane magic - they can only learn Novice. I've given them up to Expert Mind magic instead; the idea behind that is they have the
ability to instill fear in their enemies' mind.

It was reported the Alchemy Master trainer doesn't show up in the journal. I did not (and couldn't reproduce) have that issue. Not all trainers
have an entry in the journal as an FYI.

The house owner in Elderwood Forest that always says go away- This intended and not broken. He's just a bitter old Elf.

  • Fixed - Lightning Storm spellbook performs the correct checks now when attempting to learn the spell
  • Fixed - Lightning Storm Novice tome performs the correct checks now when attempting to upgrade the spell
  • Fixed - Master Fireshield now displays Master in the description instead of expert.

Developer Notes
Modified the character sheet to display the amount of XP needed to reach the next level instead of the amount of XP remaining to reach next level.
This fixes the negative amount once character reaches max level. Updated the Maximum HPs, MPs, and EPs a character can have (as planned)
within the configurations instead of leaving it open. Leaving it open resulted in some insane amounts (still haven't figured out where the
formula for calculating these caused the insane addition). If a character in your current party has levels above 1000, it will be adjusted
to 1000 (this includes any +HP items or spells)

And for your amusement, I was tracking down a bug where, occasionally, when holding down the right mouse button, you would start to turn
to the left, slowly. After a few days of trying to figure it out, I realize my gamepad was upside down and the right joystick was being pressed
just enough for the camera to start rotating. Hope you got a chuckle out of that.


  • Fixed - 2nd character slot can learn Novice Rocks now if they meet the qualifications
  • Fixed - 2nd character slot can learn Novice Metalskin now if they meet the qualifications
  • Fixed - Suffocating Sphere Novice tome checks for appropriate Master Air Magic skill

Thanks to steam user, shafkhan2001, being paitent and working through the trainers in Granit Mines not opening up when he knocked.
Figured out what was going on and was able to fix it. The issue didn't affect everyone from what I could tell. The fix in this update
should help in avoiding the for anyone in the future.


  • Fixed - Added a missing death rune to complete the quest that requires them. All of them can be found now
  • Fixed - Should be able to enter the NW room in Shimmerscale's Lair
  • Fixed - Regional map displays the zone's name in the lower right box
  • Fixed - Should be able to cast Fire Protection spell now. Really old (early days of development) setting was still there that needed to be removed
  • Fixed - All treasure chests in Northern Westernlands should be interactive now - Think I got them all this time!

Developer Notes
Framework upgrade strikes again. It was reported that items with Disease and/or Cold resists were not providing the resist. All items had those wiped out from the upgrade.
I've restored their values. You should get the appropriate resist benefit when equipped,again.
XP should no longer go negative once you've reached max level. This would be for new games. Saved games may not be affected.
Fixed some typos in a few descriptions
To use the shrines in the world, be sure to click on the center obelisk.


  • Fixed - Should be able to scroll through Potion Crafting recipes if you have more than 8 in your book
  • Fixed - Chests around Harkness Castle and in the Hobgoblin forts (N. Westernlands) should be accessible now (missed this during the framework upgrade)
  • Fixed - Armors and rings that have cold or disease resists have had their values restored
  • Fixed - XP should no longer go negative once you've reached max level.
  • Fixed - Clerics should be able to train in Expert Battle Tactics now
  • Fixed - Market Stall shops should not "open" while in battle if interacted with
