Developer Notes
Fixed the Blood Trials quest. It was broken - not 100% certain, looks like my fault. If you've already completed the Blood Trials (have specific key in your inventory),
re-enter the Blood Trials - don't worry this zone does not reset - and exit the trials. This will update the quest.
Speak with the Judge again to continue the quest. I've added some additional guidance before starting the quest on what to do when
you complete the trials.

Shimmerscale Lair - think I have the troubling room entrance fixed this time.

  • Fixed - Blood Trials quest
  • Fixed - a Shimmerscale Lair room entrance should no longer be block



  • Informational - A couple of quest items have moved from item to quest category for filtering in your inventory

Developer Notes

Restored the ability to rotate the via mouselook again while not allowing mouselook if you have a dialog or menu open. This helps prevent the
skydome from rotating if you mouselook while menu or dialog is open. Not being able to mouselook in combat was annoying for me :)


  • Fixed - Blocking rocks in Shimmerscale Lair - believe I found the offending rocks and moved them out of the way to the chamber
  • Fixed - Stoneskin scroll should now be consumed upon use



  • Informational - Restored the ability to look around while engaged in combat

EA Release - 0.6.2 Notes

Reworked Tangling Vines, Drowsy, and removed turn order from Mending Chi which should not have been there. Also, re-worked a monster ability which
used turn order. Similar to what I did in previous update for Daze, Hast, and Slow, I re-worked the effects to remove turn order but added initiative
roll changes to simulate the effect.

I didn't see any other abilities or effects that affected turn order. The combat freeze should not happen anymore. Well, at least for Turn Order :DLLs


  • Fixed - Removed Turn Order changes on Tangling Vines, Drowsy, and Mending Chi effects to fix game freezing when these affects are applied

EA Release - 0.6.1 Notes

Reworked Daze, Haste, and Slow to remove the Turn Order change. This is to get rid of a stack overflow issue with turn order changes and freezing the game.
As a result of removing the turn order, I've updated the effects of each. Daze, for instance, I've lowered the endurance cost, stuns the traget
for 1-4 rounds plus skill and the target loses their turn when the effect is applied. I've tested this - removing the turn is not affected by the
stack overflow bug like changing turn order. For Haste and Slow, I've changed the Initiative Modifier value and added TO Hit, Block, and Counter
bonuses for Haste and penalties for Slow. These changes work with what I had in mind for these abilities and gets rid of the game crashing bug!

EA Release - 0.6.0 Notes

When speaking with a trainer for a novice level skill, a character should no longer be allowed to learn the skill if they've
already learned the Expert or Master level of the skill. This only affects new parties. Existing parties, assuming you've learned a higher and the
novice level of the skill will still have both in their list of skills.

Hoping to have an ETA from the framework developer on the Daze fix - turn order change. If it will be a while, I may alter the Daze ability.
I've altered the Terror spell (Afraid status effect) to remove the turn order change and adjusted other effects that are part of the status effect.
For instance, the Initiative Modifier penalty has been increased to simulate turn order change.
I've gone through the source code of the framework for Turn Order change - not exactly sure why the error is being thrown. The error is a Stack Overflow
which would eventually lead to the game crashing after a while.

I've fixed recently reported issues and a few I found while fixing the others.


  • Fixed - Completing the lava spirit feather quest grants XP to ALL party members again
  • Fixed - Purple ring visible in Nerah's Landing has been hidden once again
  • Fixed - Torchlight icon should display on all party members and not just caster for Novice - Master
  • Fixed - You should not be able to learn Novice level skills if you know the Expert/Master level now
  • Fixed - Ulfan Hammerfront teaches the character in the first position Bows, now
  • Fixed - Ismael Dryden will teach you Healing Magic and not just take your money, now




  • Informational - Still tinkering with the Magistrate's gold amounts in his dialog.
  • Informational - Clerics should be able to train in Daggers, now
  • Informational - The chests in Druinport Sewers should generate loot now - unless you have some REALLY bad luck with the RNG gods :)
  • Informational - Updated Tamaras Desert and Druinport's regional map to reflect proper trainers in D'Nas and Druinport
  • Informational - The Terror spell has been altered. The Turn Order effect has been removed.
    The initiative modifer, attack and block effects have been increased to compensate for the turn order removal

Fire Shrine in Nerah's Landing was reported broken. It broke due to the upgrade. Added a message if you've already used the shrine.
Saved games should allow you to use the shrine again due to a few changes made to the shrine. So, extra bonus if you've already used the
shrine!
Rotating the camera while in combat has temporarily been disabled. I'll re-enable it in the next update. This is
a result of fixing the sky moving while a menu is open.


  • Fixed - Abandoned Tower minimap displays properly now
  • Fixed - Well Rested status effect should be removed/added properly now.
  • Fixed - Daze ability is working properly again.
  • Fixed - Traveling from Elderwood Forest to Kunari Plains places you on the proper spawn point in Kunari Plains
  • Fixed - Novice Kunari Plains Gate, Druin Hills Gate, and Dragonspine Mountains Gate should work properly, now
  • Fixed - Static spellbook will allow party members in slots 2 - 4 to learn the spell now

  • Fixed - Sky will no longer rotate while using menus (inventory, character sheet, etc)
  • Fixed - Fire Shrine in Nerah's Landing is working again.



  • Informational - Removed a hidden penalty from Crushed Skull injury that shouldn't have been there.

Developer Notes
This patch includes an upgrade to the latest version of the RPG framework that I am using and the latest version of Unity 2017.
According to the developer, the equipment disappearing bug and items disappearing from the vault should be fixed by using this latest version.
I tried to move to the latest stable version of Unity, which would allow for some better visuals and other goodies, but, the game was
broken to the point I didn't even know where to start. So, I'm going to stick with the version I have, unfortunately.

Chests and crates have been re-worked to stop a horrible memory leak which caused the game to crash upon entering the game. Don't know why it worked
fine with the old version; this new way of populating chests is actually better from a code and design stand point. Zones should load a bit faster
now as a result, too. On that note, chests have a small chance of being empty. The party's average luck score does help in that regard. So, it is
possible to open some chests that are empty. You'll want to sacrafice some dice to the RNG gods after the zone resets :D

Now, if you open every chest on the map and they are empty, let me know because that would mean something is broken.

Fixed a bunch of chests that was firing off the open script as well as the lock/trapped script at the same time. No more bypassing locks and traps :)

I saw Wands were still a skill selection for Monks and Necromancers in the party creation screen. I've replaced the skill selection with
Battle Tactics for Monks. Water Magic for Necromancers. Monks can learn Battle Tactics to EXPERT level. Necromancers could already learn
Water Magic. I'll update the manual for the next update.

Chests in the Temple of Solaris and Vargan's tomb are fixed. They were all tied to the same ID resulting in open one, the remaining chests results in being
empty once you loot that first chest.

Northern Westernlands should have better performance. Took another pass at optimizing that zone.

Revive spell has been changed. Party member is now restored to full health, mana, and endurance but suffers resurrection sickness. The following is what
the effect entails:

Resurrection Sickness:
Strength, Mind, Dexterity reduced by 50%
-50% To Hit and Block chance
Cannot Counter, Perform Critical Hits or Escape combat (run)
XP gain is reduced by 50%

The sickness lasts for 2 minutes or death, or at the end of a battle.

I've tested this version with several save game files including some that were sent to me recently for the equipment disappearing bug.
So far, I've not experienced any issues while playing. However, there is a chance a save game may not be compatible with this version.


  • New - Revive spell has been changed. Mana cost has changed and decreases with rank. Party member is restored to full health, mana, and endurance
    but suffers from resurrection sickness
  • New - Resurrection has been changed to revive ALL dead party members.
  • New - Resurrection Sickness effect has been added


  • Fixed - Chests in Temple of Solaris are now fixed.

I have fired my QA department :D
It appears that I progogated my thieving trainer bug throughout alot of the more recent trainers that were added.
These have been fixed in this update. Sorry about that. I think I found all of the broken trainers and have them fixed.
If you find any that I missed, let me know!
I've made the Life Blossom, used in to complete a quest, a bit more prominent. Should be easier to spot vs. the old model. Also,
added the ability to use the Examine key on it.
