This week we continued tackling bugs and errors, polishing 0.2.0 and making the game version better. In this weeks patch, we have fixed the bug that was making JH raids almost useless, since nothing could be done on the enemy fief. We’ve squashed this bug and did some fine-tuning to the original list of abilities that can be performed by attackers on the defenders’ fief during JH. With this update we have added several new Maul skins, there are plenty for you to choose from to match your style - from brutal looking to splendor and fancy ones. Take a closer look at these glorious skins in the picture below, and hurry to the store to emphasize your feudal greatness!
We have also update updated information on new 0.2.0 mechanics earlier this week, and now you can find more details about New Abilities, reworked Plants mechanics, Water and Wells, and of course Animals and their age. You can find all the new information in our Guide to the 0.2.0 Update.
Every day we receive a lot of messages from you and see that many of you are enjoying the new version of the game so much. We are really grateful for that, your feedback means the world to us and helps us improve. Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts on Steam, every review will really help us to make the game even better!
This week there is also sad news in our community. The Griffons guild leader and one of their most valuable players, Dmitry ‘Mamon’, has passed away. Mamon was a good friend to many feudalists, he lived and breathed the game, supported and helped out many players he met on his way. It is indeed a big loss, and we would like to express our condolences to his friends and family.
To honor and commemorate Mamon, we have decided to add a special NPC that you can now meet in one of the Starting villages. This NPC will be added to the game next week, and we will let you know where to find him and how give him your regards.
As life on Abella goes on, and to finish this dev news on a brighter note, we are excited to tell you that the Treasure Hunt event will start tomorrow, on Saturday, March 2. Judgment Hour Dangers and Fixes! (0.20.6.2)
One of the most important changes in this version is that we’ve managed to find and fix the bug that was making JH raids almost useless, because nothing could be done on the enemy fief. We’ve fixed this bug and did some fine tuning to the original list of abilities that can be performed by attackers on the defenders’ fief during JH. During ANY normal JH, you will NOT need a “burning” lvl 3 outpost nearby to be able to do the things listed. You can see the full list here.

Properly implemented the abilities that can be used by enemies while raiding fiefs with JH active
Added spawn and despawn animations for natives
Fixed a bug where natives could not hit players that were sitting or surrendering

Fixed an issue where some characters could not level up 2 skills simultaneously even when they had a premium subscription active

Old legacy Trade Posts on Epleland should not longer be destroyed when building an outpost on those fiefs
Fixed mining bug where some rare drops (gems) were not appearing correctly
Fixed JH now/JH soon icons to be properly displayed on all fiefs on the map
Prime time changing should not glitch now if the guild that made it has changed its leader
Fixed a ranking calculation issue where some guilds would get incorrect rank if they are near the servers borders
Fixed an exploit that in some cases could result in a damage to the private claims that are not far from the protectorate borders
Fixed a server crash related to the usage of a weapon when its skill was downgraded by an offline skills leveling system
Fixed incorrect luck attribute values on some of the characters that were transferred from Epleland to Godenland
Fixed an issue where premium boosters would disappear after crossing server borders

Hey, Feudalists!
This week we’ve been working hard on squashing bugs, smoothing bumps and implementing even more new features and updates. Before we dive in, we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who reported bugs and shared their feedback. We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through issues so, thank you from all of us.
If you haven’t had a chance to check them out already, you can read the patch notes from this week’s updates here and here. On top of fixing some of the most common bugs, we have implemented the highly-anticipated Church of all Gods. A grand, decorative structure in honor of the colonization of Godenland! Who will be the first to build it?!
Speaking of firsts, we are delighted to announce the first explorer to complete the Ferdinand Magellan challenge. Truly an illustrious explorer, Svatobor Slavards has visited all 32 regions. Congratulations, valiant globetrotter!

Another recent addition you may have spotted: God’s Coin - a new consumable item, which can be purchased with God’s Favor in the Premium Shop and is now needed for supporting bigger Personal Claims. We’ve gone into more detail on our guide - check it out here. One God’s Coin supports one tile of your Private Claim for one in-game day.
How to add God’s Coin:
- Access your inventory
- Open the ‘private monument’ window
- Drag and drop God’s Coin into the private monument container
- Click on ‘sacrifice’

Everything for the Gods of Life is Feudal! (0.20.4.0)
In today’s patch, we pay our tribute and help you to pay YOUR tribute to the Life is Feudal Gods! We’re introducing a handy way to pay for your large private claim via new consumable item called God’s Coins. Private claims should now work way better for everyone!
The new, long-awaited Church of All Gods is also here for you to build! Be the first one to do it!
And of course, a good bunch of fixes, tweaks, and optimizations is also in this patch.
Speaking of Private Claims, we just want to explain how they should work now from the perspective of their size and payments:
If you do NOT have the premium subscription active:
You can have up to 100 tiles of a private claim. You will pay for its support with Crown Coins.
You can increase your private claim up to 250 tiles. You will have to pay for ALL your land with God’s Coins that can be purchased in our Premium Shop and consumed in order to be put to the Private Claim.
If you DO have the premium subscription active:
You can have up to 150 tiles of a private claim for FREE - no payment will be needed at all!
You can increase your private claim up to 250 tiles. You will have to pay for extra land (anything above 150 tiles) with God’s Coins, which can be purchased in our Premium Shop and consumed in order to be put to the Private Claim.
In all cases you will have to pay 1 God’s Coin to support 1 tile of your Private Claim for 1 in-game day.
Patch Notes (ver. 0.20.4.0):
New Features and Tweaks:
Released the Church of All Gods decoration in order to honor the colonization of the Godenland!
Implemented God’s Coins in the Premium Shop. These can be purchased and used if you want to support a bigger personal claim (up to 250 tiles).
Personal claims are fixed and should be properly working now
Chance of young trees dying has been lowered even further
Added an explicit warning window when you’re about to spend your Decoration Kit. Decoration kits are a consumable items and after 30 minutes the object that was built with the help of the kit becomes a part of the game world!
Tweaked and improved the private and counselor’s chats functionality
Some new substances/resources found in the ground can now be dropped by drag and dropping it from the inventory bag
Made some AI tweaks and fixes for the Natives
Sleeping Bag renamed to Primitive Bed, now requires Carpentry (0) and recipe is more expensive
Bark Box now requires Carpentry (0), recipe has not changed
Campfire now requires Household (0), recipe has not changed
Fixed snowball crafting
Fixed some tradepost and monument upgrade messages to be more informative
Ore Washer window shouldn't close after the ability has been completed
Allowed brightness range is 0.5 - 1.5 now
Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
Fixed known offline skills leveling issues
Implemented some fixes and fail-safe mechanisms to lower amount of server node crossing bugs
Optimized client side asset loading. That should provide a slight performance boost while traveling around the world
Fixed an issue where private timer on movable objects in the starting villages were ignored
Fixed rare underground resources (rocksalt, brimstone) not being found on Epleland. They can be found now as a random drop while mining iron and copper ore. What will be dropped (brimstone or rocksalt) depends on the region you’re mining in.
Fixed incorrect render of light rays rendering in posteffect
Fixed an issue that caused some terrain on Epleland to become corrupted resulting an in endless initialization while connecting
Fixed alchemy and herb mixing not working properly for some transferred characters

Significantly lowered the chance of young trees dying
Fixed the bug that caused damage to be inflicted on the Protectorates (green provinces). Protectorates are now safe from PvP! Yet animals and natives can still damage you
Animals should not follow players into the protected land around the starting Village on the Newbie islands
Minimap on Godenland now shows the regions, which also should now be properly announced ingame when you enter them
Fixed the ability to get fresh water from snow
Protectorates (green provinces) should not show fiefs inside them (because fiefs are not needed in protectorates)
Chieftain sword tooltip fixed
Inspect ability on trees now show information according to the calendar
Fixed stone trebuchet ammo crafting giving inadequate amount of experience

Tanning tubs bugs partially fixed. Full fix of the tanning tub can be expected next patch.
Wells that were constructed before 0.2.0 patch should work properly after you use them once
Fixed the quality of resources gathered from trees
Fixed old slings causing server and client crashes
Fixed the sand burning in kiln not producing any glass
Tools equipped on other slots should not be damaged while sawing out items from tree logs

Today’s the day!
Feudalists, we are excited to announce that today we have updated Epleland to the 0.2.0!
As you are reading this devblog, we are preparing everything for the opening of Godenland, and soon enough you will be free to roam and explore its regions and start a new feudal journey.

Yesterday we have also started sending out Tokens of Appreciation for your continuous support and dedication that include 10,000 GF and a whole free month of Premium subscription. Veteran titles, as well as Decorator’s kit refunds, will be applied shortly after 0.2.0 is released.
We are also happy to announce that from now on everyone can explore the Newbie island for free! To travel to Mainland players still need a ticket to Abella. A great excuse to gather your friends and, explore the new map and start building a kingdom that will be famous for centuries to come!

While you all await 0.2.0 in anticipation, we would like to share some info about challenges and events that will take place after 0.2.0.
We already told you about the challenges for the First Explorers of the Godenland. So now we are going to share more details about each challenge type and the overall rules. Here are challenges for a guild, for a team and for a single player.
Guild Challenges:
Please include Guild name and Guild leader account email with needed info:
<*>Pillars of the community: First 5 guilds to upgrade their guild monument to tier 4.
Needed info: A screenshot where the following can be seen: Monument window should be opened and server number should be present.
<*>Veni, Vidi, Vici: The first guild to capture a free province that is not owned by another guild will be rewarded.
Needed info: screenshot with a system chat message about declaring a battle on the free province.
<*>My house is my keep: The first guild to build one of 4 keep types (Small Keep, Wooden Keep, Keep, Castle Keep). Achievement is available for each keep type.
Needed info: a screenshot with a keep and a system chat message about successful keep construction.
<*>The Bloodline of Svefnii: The first one to place an IB totem on the province of another guild to initiate province capturing.
Needed info: a screenshot system chat with a message about declaring a battle on the province of another guild. Also, a list of account emails (up to 10).
<*>Kneel Before Us!: The first guild to win an IB with another guild
Needed info: Your guild name and attacked guild name, and the date of the IB.
<*>Rule with an Iron Fist!: The first guild to keep a province for an entire week
Needed info: A screenshot of the Map with guild heraldry and a period of time, while you keeping the province.
Single player challenges:
Please include your account email with needed info.
<*>Transcendence: The first player to reach level 100 in one of the 7 professions. Achievement available for each profession.
Needed info: A screenshot with character window with level 100 of a skill
<*>Ferdinand Magellan: The first player to visit all the regions of Godenland
Needed info: 32 screenshots of each of regions with server number.
Team-based challenge:
<*>Pest Control: The first team of 5 players to defeat 9 knool’s camps.
Needed info: 9 screenshots from the center of the knool’s camp. On every screenshot, there should be a dead chieftain, all 5 team members and the server number. Also, account emails of 5 team members.
Rules:
To participate in the challenges you need to be on Godenland
When you finish the challenge, you need to send the required information (details are in a challenge description) to AnastasiiaQuail#3214 (on Discord) or anastasiia.perepelova@lifeisfeudal.com.
Please keep in mind that we can check all your results and reject giving a reward.
The first feudalist to send in the information, as well as the proof that the challenge was completed, will receive a reward:
For guild challenges: the reward will be sent to the guild leader
For single player challenges: the reward will be sent to the player
For team challenges: the reward will be sent to everyone in the team
After that, we are going to post a list of challenges and players that have completed them in our Discord channel and SM. As soon as the list of players for a given challenge will be posted, screenshots will no longer be accepted.
Treasure chest event:
Treasure of the Gods event will start soon! In the meantime we would like to share some details about this event with you.
The event will last for 18 days and there will be 144 treasure chests containing valuable prizes on Godenland in total.
Yet the gods are greedy, and they don’t want to give away all their treasures at once. Every day, after the start of the event, we are going to reveal some hints about 8 treasure chests that one of the Gods hide in random places on the Godenland map. You will need to go to the area we will mark on Godenland’s map that will be posted and search for three idols of the God. When you find them, dig until your shovel meets something similar to a chest.
There is also going to be a special idol in a chest that you can exchange for a prize with a help of GM, or keep it in your inventory.
When the event ends, we will publish the lists of players that have found a chest on our Discord. Stay tuned and prepare to a big treasure hunt.

(Dev News #142) Travel Tips and FAQ
Hey, Feudalists!
This week we continued taking the steps towards 0.2.0 Update. Avalon, the last of the Old Worlds, has been shut down and all the remaining characters were safely transferred to Epleland along with their inventory.
Today we updated our promo page about 0.2.0 with a detailed FAQ section. You can find the detailed info about transfer there, as well some other useful info that will get you ready for the update, however, if you can't wait to find out all the details about traveling to the New World - you will find main details and tips below!
You will be able to transfer your character from Epleland to the New Map once, unless you choose to stay and continue playing on Epleland. All your unused Abella tickets remain.
However, the characters will be transferred to the New Map with an empty inventory and a limited amount of skill points (see below) and guildless.
Here’s a list of things that are going to be transferred with your character:
<*>Skills T1 (capped at 60 points) and T2 (capped at 30 points)
<*>All stats will be capped at 20 points
<*>Alignment points will be transferred unchanged
<*>Character creation data will be saved
<*>Character names and appearance will be saved It will be simple to transfer your character from Epleland to the New map by using the ‘Prayer for a Far Journey’ ability (Minor skills -> Piety). But remember, you will not be able to come back to Epleland ever again!
Now that you know how to travel to the New World, you are probably wondering what it’s called. Well, we are super excited to reveal the official name of the New Map - Godenland!

(Dev News #141) Big Map, AMA & Feudalize Your Device!
Hey, feudalists!
This week we have announced the final Judgement Hour for Avalon, which will take place on February 4 from 18:00 CET to 00:00 CET. The next day, February 5 at 10:00 AM CET/ 4:00 AM ET, Avalon will be shut down, and its inhabitants are going to be safely moved to Epleland, along with their personal and Trade Post inventory. As for the destiny of Epleland, it will remain a live server even after the 0.2.0 update. We are planning to continue developing Epleland to be a much deeper roleplay-focused server, as well as a comfortable place for the roleplaying community. For those of you asking - yes, you will be able to transfer to the New World from Epleland once the update goes live. We will be sharing the details of the transfer procedure, as well as other information about the New Map in due time, stay tuned!
Since last week, we have noticed your interest and excitement about the New Map reveal, which we are really happy to see. So this week we would like to share a picture of the Map in high resolution for you to enjoy!

As we continue our preparations for 0.2.0, Skjultland, Buyan, Telmun and NA Newbie archipelago were shut down this week, and all the characters along with their inventories were safely transferred to Epleland and the Newbie islanders to EU Newbie. To commemorate all the creations of the old world, we have started compiling a collective album, ‘Glory to the Old Worlds’, where all of you are welcome to share your best moments and magnificent creations.
We have also received requests to immortalize the Guild Rankings of these worlds, and they are now available in a dedicated album as well. As for the destiny of the remaining worlds of Abella, how will it work with the new map and other questions - we are going to announce all the details soon™!

As we move closer to 0.2.0 release, we have recently taken one of the first steps towards it by closing down Iriy and transferring all the characters and their inventory to Epleland.
