But wait, there's more excitement to be had! We’re over the moon to announce that a single player demo of Lightyear Frontier is available right now! Lightyear Frontier Releases Into Early Access March 2024
Look! There it is, on the scanner! It’s coming into view!
Boy howdy, what a pretty sight. A beautiful, lush world, just waiting to be explored and primed to make your new home. With your satellite pal, your trusty mech, and some good hard work, you’ll turn your patch of planet into a cozy, sustainable homestead to call your own.
We’re thrilled to announce that Lightyear Frontier is releasing into Early Access, March 2024! Start your journey with up to three friends on PC, Xbox Series S|X, or Xbox Game Pass!
It’s been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to see Lightyear Frontier out in the wild. We’re in the final stages of getting things ready for launch, and we’ll have more to share soon on that front! That being said, we’ve got a handy roadmap to share with y’all to let you know what we’ll be working on in the coming months post-launch!
Your voice is going to be even more important as we go forward! We’ll be working on the game based on our roadmap, and with each new update, we want to get your thoughts on how Lightyear Frontier is progressing. The feedback we’ve received from folks so far has been crucial, and we want to continue that trend as we go! Once we get to that point where we’re ready for your input, we’ll say so.
The support you’ve shown for us has been incredible, and we’re truly grateful that you’ve stuck with us throughout our development. We want Lightyear Frontier to be a special experience for everyone looking to start their own plot, and with your help, we’re excited to see what comes next!

November 2023 Update: Growing Your Farm
Being all alone on an alien planet means you’ve got to make do with what you have, and what you have is all around you: Plants! Plenty of them, and they’re ripe for the picking. Through thousands of years of human civilization, from Earth to the stars, one thing’s true: Everything new comes with some kind of work, so get ready to roll up your sleeves and dig your hands into some soil. So, you’re here now! You’ve landed on the Frontier with your mech, and you’re more ready than ever to start your homestead on this new world. But before you get started, it’s kind of important for you to know HOW you get home-sweet-home set up in the first place! (Post-)September 2023 Update: Out-of-Mech Experience
It’s a heck of a job, getting to drive the rig! Once you open up that throttle and get to full stride, there’s nothing like it. But it’s important to step away from the cockpit, get a look at the world around you from the ground! In fact, some of what you’re doing on the Frontier needs you to get out and about, getting some on-foot perspective and using your tools to do some work with your own two hands. Whether that’s squeezing through the smaller spaces throughout the world, or swapping out and upgrading parts, there’s plenty to be done outside the mech! August 2023 Update: Planetary Revitalization/Gamescom Details!
Hey again, exofarmers! We’re back at it with more to share at the kickoff of Gamescom! This update’s important, as we’ll be talking about a key aspect of life itself on the Lightyear Frontier: Sustainability! Taking care of your environment is absolutely essential on the Frontier; without a healthy ecosystem, you’re in for a literal world of hardships. Your crops will struggle, flora and fauna will disappear, and the barren landscape will have nothing to give, in terms of resources. Put in effort to restore the balance, and you’ll be rewarded with a wealth of resources, more beautiful environments, and who knows what else? Read on, and we’ll give you the details!

Welcome back to the fireside, y’all! We know there’s been a lot of anticipation around this one ever since the Showcase, but you gotta hand (HA!) it to us, it’s a pretty sweet-looking rig now.
