Timeouts after Spawning & Version 1.86
If you've been kicked out of a Server or seen players getting Timeout notices in the chat channel I have added a fix which should finally resolve this.
There is now a new option in the Multiplayer Options to only use TCP instead of UDP. This is enabled by default, TCP is much more reliable than UDP but can incur some lag if packets are lost and don't arrive as it will request a resend until they arrive ok.
UDP is only used for the synchronisation of the position of the Player and Missiles as this can tollerate some lost packets due to the way the data is interpolated. All other events are sent with TCP, this is why you can connect fine and chat but Timeout after spawning.
I had a discussion with the programmer that wrote the Networking framework Lunar Flight uses (TNet) and the reason this is happening is that for some reason the UDP data transfer doesn't send packets through on some peoples machines. He is going to investigate this and see if there is an issue in his code that needs addressing.

Multiplayer Update Released!
Lunar Flight Update Version 1.8
Lunar Flight has been updated with new Multiplayer modes and many more new or improved features. New Difficulty options make it more accessible than ever before ensuring anyone can make progress and become a thrust vectoring master!
After Months of work I’m finally ready to show off the Multiplayer to world. This build is 99.9% complete but I want to put it through some testing before making it official.
To get it, Right Click on Lunar Flight in your games list and select Properties. Next click on the Beta tab, then Select Beta – Windows beta Build and it should start to download.
There are 5 new Inputs:
C – Will toggle the Chat Window on and off in the Spectator View
Home – Will Display the Scoreboard
Right Shift (A on XBox Controller) – Fire Missile
Right Ctrl (X on XBox COntroller) – Fire Flare
/ (forward Slash) – Switch between Nav and Target modes
When running your Server you will need to access the Menu and go to Server Controls to Start the Round once everyone has loaded. I do plan to add an Auto Cycle feature for this so you can start it up and leave it to keep running.

Another small update out today, version 1.671
- Axis assignments are automatically inverted internally to ensure it is intuitive.
- Recovery Achievement is no longer awarded for watching a recovery replay.
- Music volume is restored correctly on the start screen when restarting the game.
