As you are aware, we have been working for several weeks on various topics to improve the Memories of Mars experience and seize the opportunities to push for more adventure, challenges and additional content.
And we have some big game-changers incoming!!!!
And the good news is that next season will host them already and you’ll be able to give the new Memories of Mars experience a try! Unfortunately, this means that we’ll have to postpone the next change of season slightly in order to make this happen.
Effectively, the next season will start on the 12th of November and will imply the following:
Only 1 kind of server: no more exclusive PvP or PvE servers, Memories of Mars will now lean towards a PvE experience but will still include PvP areas for our more belligerent clones!
Fresh restart: everything will be wiped, including progression and items saved. In other words, no more Emergency capsule or Memory Backup Center… So please don’t spend too much effort in maximizing the end of the current season. As a tradeoff and big up for your support and your patience, you’ll be given a “Thank you” package at the start of the incoming season.
The Juggernaut is finally here: Let us say it again… THE JUGGERNAUT is finally here, the massive enemy teased for weeks will be finally available and active for new challenges with clones! Pictures in the coming days :)
Rule Mars! Defeat the Juggernaut and get an opportunity to craft the Vanguard suit and become an augmented clone with special abilities! More info on all the special abilities to come…
A new underground and deadly complex on Mars: give a try to this “one way” journey. Once inside, there is no way back, but in the depth of Mars and if you make it through a maze of Martian experiments and challenging encounters, you’ll be able to gather gloomy information and nice rewards. More details to come soon!
A glimpse into the truth: thanks to the revamped Emergency Protocols and more backstory inputs, you’ll have a chance to explore the surface of Mars and compile the story fragments that tell the fall of Mars!
A new hope for survival: with to this story quest, you’ll be given a chance to craft a Memory Capsule and send the Memories of Mars to Earth! But you’ll have to face the ice area, now more deadly than ever as a permanent PvP zone, and only place where you can mine Deuterium, the mandatory resource for the Memory Capsule!
Hope you are hyped by this preview and, if you like what you see, slap that thumbs up button and tell your friends!! And again, stay tuned for more insights on these topics!
Thanks for your patience and your support!

Dear Martians,
we pushed a new patch live! We included the following changes:

- Fixed a possible exploit related to the edges of the map
- Added the Code of Conduct
- Fixed building issues with half-walls and window frames
- Fix for completed buildings showing up as holograms and possible exploits related to this
- Balancing: Removed misfire chance from low-grade ammunition
- Increased the low-level salvaging efficiency of the mining tool
- Improvements to the resting mechanic's animations
- New emote animations
- Fix for coordinates on supply trackers sometimes not showing up
- Balancing: Loot improved for supply tracker
- The protection timer on buildings is now updated on any interaction by anyone authorized to access the building
- Reverted "No Building Zone" around buildings on PVE servers to previous values. You should be able to build inside your own building again even if other buildings are nearby. On PVP servers we keep the higher value to prevent people from building "raid ramps" to attack other buildings from above too easily. This setting can now be changed on private servers as well.

Further Announcements:
* as you know, we keep fighting for improvements. In this regard, we'll push a new patch pretty soon in order to keep improving the current version and mitigate the collateral damages of the recent disconnections. Please stay tuned for details.
* on a different topic, there were recently several discussions and debates about exploits, cheating and unfair behaviours. Since day 1, we have considered and we are still considering these topics with lots of attention. In this regard, we have decided to clarify the rules and expectations accordingly through a code of conduct.
This will be displayed in the game, at start soon, but you can have a preview of it as follows
Code of Conduct:
We all want to have fun in the games we play, but certain rules have to be upheld so everyone can have just as much fun. Please be aware that we take our code of conduct very serious and reserve the right to moderate the game and our other community hubs like the Steam Forums and our official Discord channel. We will take measures, including temporary or permanent ban against people breaking the community rules and we may or may not warn you before. Please take this into consideration and think about what you want to write about or how you want to behave.
The following behaviour will have severe consequences:
- cheating, hacking, exploiting the game
- offensive, abusive or exploitative behaviour towards others
- describing, planning or doing unlawful or illegal behaviour or actions
- racist, sexist, homophobic or other discriminatory practices
- creating pornographic material or depiction of explicit sexuality or gory violence
- distributing copyrighted or trademarked material
We will not ban for a bit of "trash talking", but we will ban direct and unjustified insults against other players. Please take responsibility for your own actions.
We do not have to give reasons for a ban further than "broke the code of conduct
And now back to the latest inputs and investigations in this regard, we have tracked players recently using exploits in the game for their advantage.
We have now banned the following four players from the game:
NeviDimka
♂ Statik
တရားမဝင်သေ
San Sanich
We will continue closely monitoring the game.
If you spot a bug, please send it to us so we can take care of it. Using a bug for your gain in the game will not be allowed.
We truly hope and aim to improve the overall game experience for the community and will keep up the good work accordingly.

MEMORIES OF MARS - What's coming
Hi Martians,
The new Season is coming soon!
As previously teased, we would like to confirm the scope of changes for the new season and give you all the important details.
First and foremost, the next season will take place on the 30th of July, so next Tuesday, 2pm CEST.
As previously mentioned, the big engine update has created nice opportunities for improvements and also some side effects to deal with.
Speaking of those, you will notice that the achievements have slightly evolved. The list is now more consistent and closer to the game experience.
Secondly, due to the new account system, we had to refactor our gift process/contents, which will cause the temporary loss of some initial DLCs. Again, no worries in this regard, the native package will be sent back to you pretty soon after the season launch.
And now, let’s go for fancier inputs and confirmations. In terms of “What’s new on Mars?”:
• Leaderboard is back! We have improved and revived the leaderboards thanks to a new and more reliable system, (which also improves server visibilities as a side note)
• Areas have been adjusted with specific no-build volumes in order to secure the oxygen pipeline system
• We have a new thrilling Day&Night system. Please enjoy the new dark corners of Mars!
Before
After
• New device SchematiX will give you the opportunity to buy some blueprints and go straight to the goal, with a bit of luck 😉 (blueprint assignments are randomized per device and timecycle)
• Of course some new patterns will be available and unlocked through the Season.
• Diversification of the enemies’ visual look: It is now easier to discern different types of enemies
• New ability Ping Location: Point anywhere in the world to create a marker for coordination with other players
• New Alliance invite: it’s now more intuitive and responsive to invite players to join an Alliance. Get closer and interact: Job done! No worries: we have implemented some safeguards against invitation spamming and the previous alliance system is still there anyway.
• Revamped UI on many topics (Leaderboard, PDA, tooltip for item stat display, a new radial approach, and optimization on top)
• More love put into animations, especially for each melee attack while handling a weapon.
• Revamped POIs with new architectural layout, improved interior design, optimized loot distribution and interactive devices, plus an optimization pass on lightings!
• New building management adjustment:
o we have added a secondary protection layer in form of a building timer that starts as soon as a building part is destroyed. In other words, there is now a grace period after the destruction of building parts before being able to dismantle unconnected structures.
o Rebalanced the amount of building HP for different structures, granting a bonus to low tier foundations.
•o Rework of Demolition Charges to allow placement on any surface angle and focus most of their damage on single building parts, reducing collateral damage.
• The Unstuck feature is now even more user-friendly (it can handle playermade building parts issue or teleport you to the closest spawn area, worst case scenario)
• And last but least, we have proceed in tweaking
o The meteor events should be more rewarding on the surface of Mars,
•o The skill tree has been reworked to increase bonus gain of passive nodes, to remove “unworthy” nodes, and to improve UI readability
That was a big pill to digest Martians, thanks again for your patience and stay tuned!
We’ll be back soon with more details about refactored systems or feature adjustment to improve your experience furthermore!!
Last but not least stay tuned. As far as additional improvements and additions go, we can say that something BIG is coming in the future. It will take some time but it's going to be worth it. Teaser image below.
See you on the surface,
The Limbic Dev Team
MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 7 postponement
Hello Martians,
We have an important announcement for you.
As part of our ongoing improvements to the game, we have updated our game engine version, which will give you better performance and more stability. However, due to the number of changes introduced by the engine update and by our new features, the builds for the next season are not yet up to our standards and we do not want to push them to you before ironing all bugs out. Therefore, we will postpone the beginning of season 7 to the end of July.
Of course, the next season will be full of new things, here is a preview of what you can except:
- New device type Schematix, Find these devices on Mars to buy schematics.
- New ability Ping Location: Point anywhere in the world to create a marker for coordination with other players
- The return of the leaderboard: We re-implemented the leaderboards with a new and more reliable system
- Diversification of the enemies’ visual look: It is now easier to discern different types of enemies
- Improvements to lighting: Expect more interesting lighting, for example oxygen terminals now stand out better while caves have become more creepy
- New patterns will be available
- Numerous performance optimizations across all game systems (higher framerates, less memory usage, ...)
- Improvements to free movement in the world (but if you get stuck, the Unstuck feature has also been improved)
- UI improvements in many screens including new UI convenience features
We also want to share with you this information. Currently, we are working on gigantic AI for Memories of Mars but we can’t tell you more for the moment!
Thank you for your patience and your support,
The Limbic Dev Team
MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 6 Hotfix #5
Hello Martians!
It’s patch time.We went ahead with a patch around 2PM CET today. In this patch we have addressed the following:
• Two new patterns in the vending machines for your customization. Here is a picture of those patterns.
• From now on only you or your alliance can pick up your loot container after you died (On PVE only).
• When firing, alt firing, reloading, aiming or weapon swapping during sprinting, the character will be slowed down to a normal jog. Once the action is finished the sprinting will resume if the sprinting button is still held down.
• Fix for walls getting ownership of wall-mounted devices above them if they were placed after the device.
• Fix for server crash when claiming gifts
• Fixed a bug with not correctly updating the PVP flag for people inside PVP zones on PVE servers when an events ends.
• Fixed a bug that caused buildings that were newly build and never protected to disappear on server restart instead of using the right decay timer.
• Fixed a bug that allowed players to loot the last opened inventory without interacting.
• Fixed a bug that made it possible to run the algea farm using less than the required amount of nitrate.
• Fixed a bug with missing FLOPS event UI elements when logging in during a FLOPS event.
• Fixed a bug where the ambient sound volume was also effected by the "Effects Volume" slider in the options, instead of just the "Ambient Volume" slider.
Hope every Martian appreciates the improvements,
Regards,
The Limbic Dev Team

MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 6 Hotfix #2 + game exploits
Dear Martians,
We have another patch for you today!
Here are the changes and fixes:
* Performance improvements in UI on Ati Cards
* Fix for another exploit
* Fixes for many level issues like floating rocks and items
* Fix for server crashes
* More smaller performance optimizations
Known Issues:
* splitting item stacks in the inventory is currently broken.
* weapon modifications can disappear if you drag and drop them we need to add this too.
These will be fixed in the next patch.
Regarding exploits:
We have found two different exploits since the launch of the Season 6, one could be used to gain a huge amount of Flops and the other could be used to gain a huge amount of resources. We have fixed both and we tracked players who used the exploits and did not report them to us. We want to inform you that those players will get an account reset and their buildings destroyed. We consider any kind of exploiting or bug-using as cheating, especially if it's not reported to us. Cheating always has consequences and if we found any of those players cheating again they will get a ban.
Additional note: We are aware that some people had trouble with their time capsules and either didn't get anything or couldn't retrieve their items due to bugs. We will rectify this in the coming days.
