ADDITIONS The follow has been newly added to the game.

• Idle animations should no longer interrupt any actions.
• Fixed visual glitch that appeared when landing after a jump.
• Fixed a bug that would reject your interaction when you are trying to interact with something from max interaction distance.
• Server Crash fixes.
• Flops will now be stored correctly on private servers.
• Fixed a possible exploit.
• Fixed the action bar selection: the action bar will always be selected when coming out of Cloning Facility.
• Rebased the building sphere correctly on the player that way he/she and alliance members can build stuff again in their base.
• Fixed the fact that items disappear when using "swap" on a locked container.
CHANGES The following has been adjusted or changed.
• Building bar changes:
- The building bar will now always untoggle when closing the PDA
- Building bar slots have a grid background to be visually distinguishable from the action bar slots.

MEMORIES OF MARS - An in-depth look at Season 6 changes
Dear Martians,
Let’s talk about what's new in Season 6 of Memories of Mars.
We redesigned the UI and we changed the building rules, so here is what’s new so you can jump immediately into it!
For the UI :
• Your status and your quick bar are being relocated and combined to a central UI element.
• We redesigned the Interaction System to be able to handle multiple possible interactions. If you want to interact with a device that has more actions, you will be able to hold the interaction button (F) and get a radial menu to choose your action.
• New look for the UI inventory!
• A new look for the building UI, too, with categories to find your buildings more easily.
• FLOPs aren’t an item anymore and you can find yours on the top of your screen. That means you can’t lose them once you picked them up.
For the new building rules:
• Maintenance is no longer based on FLOPs. You don’t have to grind to keep your building protected!
• Instead you get a decay timer for the building that will refresh once you interact with any device connected to the Administration Terminal.
• Buildings can be upgraded by investing FLOPs into your Terminal. This will increase the duration of the decay timer for this building and increases the size of the building you are allowed to build.
• You can invest your FLOPs gradually or the whole amount at once.
• Thanks to your Terminal you can follow your base status and your FLOP investments.
• Building upgrade stages have different parameters that limit the building:
- The maximum amount of building parts supported
- The size of the boundary sphere
- The time frame in which the building may remain unattended before losing ownership.
• Building parts are protected if they have an owner and if they are connected to a Terminal.
• The connection between building parts must be physical. If one of your building parts doesn’t link to your building which has a Terminal, you have to build a new Administration Terminal or construct new building parts to make the link (physically not with the holograms).
• If some buildings aren’t protected any player can dismantle them or use their devices.
• Each building has an ownership countdown (decay timer), if the countdown is over the player loses his permissions.
• An unoccupied building can be claimed by any player for an amount of FLOPs on a Terminal. Those are based on the current upgrade of the unoccupied building.
• Unoccupied buildings have a second countdown. When the second countdown ends, the building will be automatically removed from the server.
We are aware of some bugs and we want to fix them in upcoming patches:
• Sometimes buildings texture appears to show a black pattern.
• Quick building bar appears and does not automatically disappear again. You have to switch with “ ` ” button. You also can switch it in the button’s parameters.
• When you want to loot and double click on an item, the item to the right of the selected item might disappear. We recommend you to click on the “Loot All” button for now to not lose loot. This bug does not affect storage devices.

MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 6
Dear Martians,
Season 5 has come to an end. Over the past few months we listened to your comments and suggestions and implemented new areas and enemies, new tools, weapons, constructions modules, work stations, tutorials, and new loops and systems.
We incorporated your ideas to create a server environment that offered a variety of rule sets, including the possibility of hosting your own private servers where you can compete or cooperate with other players.
A lot of time has gone into tweaking, balancing and testing these different enhancements to improve the game overall. In the previous season, we not only introduced new POIs and customization patterns but we also increased the season length after looking closely at player performance, and we updated the Unreal Engine which offers a better overall experience.
Even though the game experience has vastly improved, we feel the game has built in systems that are yet to be enjoyed fully and areas where we can improve further. So, our intention is to stay in Early Access a little longer while we keep improving the experience in terms of performance and, at the same time, create the systems to support more players coming into the game. At this point of development, we rather be cautions and not give specific details but we will be exploring some interesting options and we will be assigning part of our resources to these tasks immediately.
Meanwhile, in the short-term for Season 6, we will start with a juicy promotion, to bring in new players and populate the PVP and PVE servers. And we will consider additional promotional opportunities that are offered to us.
Also, players will notice the following updates over this new season:
• A new visual aspect of the abandoned Martian buildings and structures found on all POIs. This is more than an aesthetic improvement; deep optimization has been performed so these elements have a lighter memory footprint.
• FLOPs are not a physical item anymore. You can still find them and use them, but there is no risk of losing them or getting them taken from you.
• There is a new building ruleset that gets rid of the base upkeep and introduces easy ownership renewal.
• Revamped user interfaces for HUD, Inventory and Building.
• A new Unreal Engine update that, among other works, will contribute to a better overall performance.
• We will also bring new customizations options in the form of skins, patterns and sprays, of course.

After Season 6 launches:
As stated above, beyond the new season, we will be exploring some new features we hope to roll out in the coming seasons. Please, take the following as non-exhaustive speculative list of features and let us know your thoughts:
• We understand you want more action and we are already working on new enemies. We already have preliminary concepts but we are open to ideas as we know we want to offer a different challenge to what you have seen so far on Mars. It will take time and, most likely it will come after Season 6, but we’ll keep you updated.
• Further optimization of the UI.
• Polished animation and body awareness.
• Blueprint/ Schematic vending machine.
• General performance optimization works and hotfixes when needed.
Season 6 started on April 9th and will end on July 2nd.

MEMORIES OF MARS - Game Balancing Changes - Please read
Dear Martians,
We have been following up on reports of performance issues and of server instabilities caused by some really extra-large structures. You can see in the screenshots below how these buildings look. We do think they are nice expressions of creativity in the game, unfortunately they are causing at times major performance issues.
We want to update you about the next steps and actions that we will be activating over the next weeks on the Public Servers:
We would like to invite all players with extra-large buildings to scale down the related buildings to help out the game performance in these areas which will benefit everyone. We are sorry for the inconvenience but we would like to secure a smooth end of season for the community. This needs to happen before March 25th
Beyond this deadline, we will have to take down any remaining extra-large buildings. We ask for people not to make extra-large buildings for the remainder of this season or they too will be taken down. To ensure you are on track, simply don't go higher than 700 FLOPS of upkeep cost, for any new bases you plan to build.
As we are deeply aware of the annoyance for both owners and non-owners of the target bases, everyone will receive the following as a gift that can be redeemed on the Esc menu:

In parallel, we have already started to revamp the base building system. MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 5 Patch 3 Info
Fellow Martians,
Patch 3 for Memories of Mars is here and we also have a message after the patch notes for those that have experiencing problems with their emergency capsules.
FIXES
The following has been fixed: • Voice chat ignoring all volume settings and work across the map.
• Mantis attacking through walls.
• Spray can will correctly remember your paint settings when moved into the inventory.
• AI path finding on buildings (Including player made) improved.
• Server crash that occurred over the weekend.
CHANGES
The following has been adjusted or changed: • Level design improvements started on the Landscape and hotspot areas (IND1).
• Scuttler – Martyr. Given the ability to jump up buildings to find a path to the player.
Regarding emergency capsules:
Since the start of Season 5 we’ve had various reports of people not being able to obtain their previous season’s Emergency capsule supplies. There are both technical and player related reasons for this. To that end and to mark the first season of the year we will be providing a Martian gift pack available to all players who have logged in and left the tutorial area at least once during this season. This package will be available tomorrow (30th Jan) and then persist for the entire seasons duration, until it is claimed.
We will continue to work on the Data base and Emergency capsule items from S4-5 and update if and when we get more information on enabling them again.
The Martian 2019 gift pack will contain the following;
• 4000 Flops.
• Schematic for Excavator Mk2
• Full set of Mercenary Armor
• 1x BR-400 Redeemer Rifle.
• 300 Ammunition for Rifle.
• 2x Scope.
• Holographic Scope

We just deployed Patch #2 for Season 5. Here is the changelog:
• Fix for random mouse location when going into inventory or similar menus.
• Fixed some LOD issues
• Fixed minor issues with map border meshes
• Improvements on Rulesets for private servers
• Fixed private servers not connecting to steam.
• Attention: If you use windows, please delete your "Run Server.bat" file and verify your game cache (or use the "validate" attribute in steamcmd)!

MEMORIES OF MARS - Season 5 Hotfixes + new POI.
Dear Martians,
As of yesterday we deployed a hotfix patch which should have taken care of all the day 1 nuisances of Season 5. Thanks again for your patience, it was a pretty tough restart!
You can now expect the following:
- Performance improvements for alliance system in case of having many map markers
Season 5 fixes:
* You can get crazy again with key bindings. Esc key now works fine.
* Fix for mining tool effects being delayed.
* Fix for Join/Fav buttons in the Main menu.
* No more PvP area contaminating PvE servers. "What happens in PvP areas stays in PvP areas"
One last thing: the fix for key bindings implies to redo your configuration.
Once done, it won't vanish anymore
