v0.1.5 Update - Easy Parrying

Hello.

Parrying has become quite easy.
Please use parrying, changing weapons, and SpAttack often!

We've made some minor tweaks to how the player character behaves to make it more responsive to controls.
I don't know if the control has improved enough to feel it.

About v0.1.5 update.

* Gameplay

  • The prices of some items in the shop have changed slightly.
  • Easy difficulty handicap has been changed.
    - Removed health recovery x2 handicap
    - Added Enemy Attack Spd reduction handicap
  • [The appearance condition of HP Plates has been changed.
    - Clear the boss without being hit -> Clear the boss without reducing HP
    - Even if the Shield is reduced, HP Plates will appear.
  • Fixed ranged attack direction option is added.
    - If you activate the option, you cannot change direction while attacking with a ranged weapon.
    - You can enable/disable it in the Gameplay tab of the Settings.
    - It is enabled by default. If you feel uncomfortable, please turn it off!


* Player

  • Parrying is easier to use and the effect has been increased.
    - Increases damage dealt and stun time of enemies when parrying
    - Parrying time increase: 0.2 -> 0.23
    - Parrying will be used even if the parrying timing is slightly delayed!
  • Basic Move spd has been slightly increased.
  • Dash's move distance and speed have been slightly reduced.
    - The duration of the dash is the same.


* Weapons

  • The projectile attribute has been added to the Revolver's Overload attack.
  • Fixed an issue where sometimes when the Gauntlet's SpAttack pushed an enemy against a wall, the enemy would get stuck in the wall and go up.
  • Spear Overload attack speed has been reduced.
  • Spear Overload attack damage has been increased.


* Enemies

  • Flame Giant's fireballs will no longer disappear when parrying.
  • Cold Bot's cold spray attack now deals DOT damage.
  • Bad friends' cold spray attack now deals DOT damage.


* Bosses

  • The Max HP of all bosses has been slightly reduced.
  • Lupus shadow now disappears when parrying.
  • The cold rain pattern of Don Sagnan has been modified.
    - A small amount of bullets will continuously drop for a certain amount of time after the bullets are poured.


* Totems

  • The stat increase effect for each type of totem is now displayed in the interaction window.
  • The basic effect of the special type totem has been changed.
    - Increases SpAttack Gauge Charge -> Increases Weapon Change cooldown speed
  • Fixed an issue that could cause sound effect when hitting enemies while having Reaper's Scythe.

Update Preview

Hello.

Originally, the update was supposed to go this week, but the update was delayed due to participation in the event.

We apologize for the schedule delay.

Instead, we would like to share the things that will be updated in the future.

1. Permanent Generator pattern renewal



Permanent Generator is a boss designed with a focus on the fun of dodging. It was designed so that players can focus on dodging when they can't attack, and when they can attack, they can focus on attacking without worrying about evasion.

However, it is thought that the Permanent Generator is working in a markedly different way from the planned intention. Not only does it put too much stress on the player, but the pattern itself doesn't feel very interesting.

We would like to improve this part and proceed with the renewal in a way that can provide fun according to our planning intention. This will be implemented in the near future.


2. Totem balancing and renewal



Totems are items that strengthen the player and are one of the core fun elements of our game. Some totems simply increase stats, while others have unique effects that make gameplay more enjoyable.

The current totems are not very well balanced because they were planned in the early development of the game. Therefore, the balance of the totem will be modified to maintain the pleasure of getting a good totem, but not to over-destroy the balance.

And since various systems have been added compared to the early days of the game, we want to utilize them more. We plan to change the effects of some totems for you can play in a different way than before when you acquire certain totems.


3. Set Effect



We shared it in the preview of the last update, but the schedule was pushed back. But we will definitely update it!


4. Switch Procon and DualShock support

Currently, only the Xbox controller is natively supporting(with UI). Other controllers can only be used using the Steam controller settings. To solve this inconvenience, we plan to support other controllers (including UI button images) to be used without Steam controller settings.


5. Stage 4



Planning is complete and resources are being created. It will probably take quite some time to update. The concept of stage 4 is a panopticon and a living experiment!


6. New weapons and totems



Weapons and totems, which are the core of the game, are always contemplating. Concept planning for new weapons has been completed, and it is planned to be updated after stage 4. Totem will be updated from time to time as resources are completed!


7. Steam API integration

This is what we said in the preview last time, but like the set effect, the schedule has been delayed. Achievements, Steam Cloud, etc. will be supported. We plan to work on the above contents from time to time while developing them.


We will work hard until the official release.

We did hotfix to fix bugs.

About v0.1.4.2 update.


  • Fixed an issue where players would sometimes become invisible.
  • Fixed an issue where the Shake Screen default value was 0.
  • Fixed an issue where the spear's SpAttack could be used without SpAttack Gague.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the defense sound effect to continuously play when the enemy is invincible.
  • The size of the bubble explosion effect of the Bubble Gun has been reduced.
  • Fixed an issue where clearing the Stage 2 boss while acquiring the Predator would result in 2 stacks.
  • Fixed an issue where players would pause briefly when move to a room under.
  • Fixed an issue where the percentage of the HP bar did not change if you lost Max HP while not at HP full.

* Gameplay

  • Normal room gimmick has been added.
    - Added a new summon gimmick when all summoned enemies are killed
  • Stages 1, 2, and 3 all have a small amount of normal rooms added.

  • Bow change buff's critical hit increase has been reduced from 30% to 20%.

    Orb is a good weapon to use alone. You can get it by defeat the stage 3 boss.

  • Frozen Heart's cooldown has been removed.

    - Cooldown: 8 rooms -> 5 rooms
    - Slightly reduced damage
