New character is here! Meet Unn. She’s a very particular survivor. With only 1 white health heart, and unable to heal using potions, this will be a one-shot challenge. But no worries, as you will be able to take advantage of revive upgrades, shields and her own Mastery tree enhancements. For Unn to appear in the character selection screen, you must reach Helheim first. You will also find a Gorgon skin for her!
Skins for KAOS
3 new skins for our dear KAOS, including Hooded KAOS, Genie skin and Golden Attire.
Improvements and fixes
Accesibility feature: "Move with mouse" utility now allows you to dash with the mouse, open the constellation, upgrade abilities, etc... only using the mouse.
Dash wasn't properly working while using the "Move with mouse" utility. The dash now works using the right click while you move.
Fixed a bug related to potions bought in Gnöki's shop.
Minor correction related to Masteries' XP obtention.
Russian translation improved.
Minor corrections related to texts.
Gnöki plush
It’s finally here!! After last plush campaign, a new Gnöki plushie has been heavily requested on emails, private messages, etc. so here it is! Holding an Ascension Crystal so you’re always ready to ascend :D
We just received the sample plushie this week, and it looks OP!
Next steps!
Steam Summer Event will take place from June 27th to July 11th so we will be creating a Summer Event on Nordic Ashes too! Expect one of the realms dressed in a very summery way, Unn’s summer skin (and Golden one too!) plus a few event relics!

Hello! Today we bring a small but useful update regarding KAOS and some fixes.
KAOS improvements
Regarding your feedback about KAOS, we’ve reworked a few things:
You will now be able to ban Ascension cards.
You will now be able to keep points instead of being forced to use them when leveling up. You may use these points on shrines or in Gnöki’s statue, but they will no longer be available to use on cards.
General Improvements
New tutorial about Yggdrasil seeds.
Czech translations updated.
Fixes
KAOS’ Ragnaork leaderboard was now working properly. It wasn’t showing players’ scores in some cases.
Blud’s ultimate ability was not working properly in some cases.
Save and load data feature was working wrong in some cases.
Amaranth’s mastery bug fixed, where red hearts were being swapped for green hearts.
When restarting a run there was a RNG bug where relics were the same as the last run.
Ragnarok X boss track was not working properly.
Bugs related to tutorial panels while pressing some buttons fixed.
We're also working on some skins for KAOS and they are looking good!!

Nordic Ashes OST
We're delighted to introduce Nordic Ashes Soundtrack! It features more than 50 minutes of music composed by Rubén Melià. He worked really hard for a whole year, so we can experience 21 amazing tracks whenever we wish!
When ascending is possible, many ascending options will be displayed instead of just one.
Kaos’ character mechanic was not working properly, as card points and level points should be the same thing. Each time you level up and use a card, points will be reduced too.
Gnöki Badges
To make earning golden badges more affordable, you will also be granted a badge the first time you conquer a realm on Expert mode. Players who already meet this requirement will receive the badges automatically.
Achievements have been changed regarding this topic too.
You’ll see the amount of achievements has been lowered, but we are working on new achievements for the near future!

Let's dive into the new features:
New Features
Character Masteries
As if Yggdrasil upgrades weren’t enough, let’s welcome Character Masteries! You will earn xp each time you play with a character. This xp will be then exchanged for level points to upgrade that character. There will be 10 levels available to complete with each survivor.
If you’ve already played some runs with a character, you will be granted with xp points once you launch the game.
Ragnarok X and extended Nightmare Mode
Ragnarok X will be the hardest and craziest challenge you will face on this 1.0 version! Let the madness begin! In addition, you'll now be able to play Nightmare mode extended to 12 waves!
Secret character: KAOS
And because it’s a secret, we won’t reveal anything. Will you be able to unlock it?
Character Dash
This has been highly requested and we also felt it would suit characters very well and not just Hansi (his dash will still be more powerful than the regular ones). Every character will have 1 dash charge available from the start. A second one can be unlocked in Yggdrasil.
2 new character skins
Because we realized that after the addition of golden skins, Alruna and M.I.S.S.I.N.G. were lacking 1 skin, as all the other characters already had 4! So here they are, an all white one and an all black one. We believe they suit them really well and hope you enjoy them too!
Golden Attire
Those golden badges from Daily Challenges finally have a purpose! You will be able to exchange them for Golden Skins. Every character will have their own. They will be available on the Daily Challenge panel.
Keybinding
You will be able to reassign keys on PC, Xbox controller and PlayStation controller.
Save slots
We’ve implemented a system where you can save, load or delete your game progress. This doesn’t mean you will be able to save in the middle of a run. This system is created in order to handle game data and backups.

We wanted you to have high resolution wallpapers of every character! You may download them from this drive link so you can keep them :D Wallpapers link
New DLC releases
Digital Artbook DLC - Now available
At the beginning of the development this was a vague idea, but it kept turning more and more plausible each month. We thought maybe a 20-30 page artbook would be a nice thing to work on, but wow, it finally became a beautiful 100+ page artbook! For now, you will be able to purchase it as a digital DLC, but if enough of us are willing to upgrade that version, we should create a hardcover version, right? Let us know what you think about it!
Soundtrack DLC - Coming soon
Rubén Melià created this absolute masterpiece of original soundtrack for Nordic Ashes. He worked really hard for a whole year, so you can experience 21 amazing tracks whenever you wish! The soundtrack will be available as a Nordic Ashes DLC in a few days, so stay tuned!
Gnöki plush
We got some news from Makeship! Gnöki campaign will be ready in a few weeks!! You can subscribe though this link for future updates or stay tuned here on Steam as we will post about it when it’s ready. Gnöki holding his ascension crystal will be ready to launch in no time… and we are really hyped about it! Here’s a sneak peek of how its looking and we already LOVE it!

Fixes
Talkôr’s bug that made him die even with gold is now fixed.
In Asgard realm, if you didn’t defeat a raid shrine boss before before entering wave 5, it would follow you to the next wave instead of vanishing. This is now fixed.
If you attracted potions but some of them weren’t used because you already had full health, they would deactivate and stayed useless even if you lost health and tried to get them.
Lights Curse bug. If you died and revived just before entering Gnöki’s realm while having the Lights Curse activated on that run, light beams were still on in the shop.
Some relics were hitting enemies twice in some cases, like Amaranth’s Chilli.
Future steps
