Welcome to devlog 03! Here are the features we’re currently working on and that will be available on the 1.0 launch day, April 26th.
Keybinding finished
You will be able to select different keys on PC, Xbox controller and PlayStation controller.
Ragnarok X
We've tried our best, we created Ragnarok I-V and you still wanted a bigger challenge. Then we decided to create Ragnarok VI-VII feeling it would push your skills to the limit (which hopefully did), but some of you still beat that and asked for an even higher difficulty level! Ok, this will be our last chance to create the hardest and craziest challenge, so welcome Ragnarok X!
Secret who?
There's a secret survivor willing to join ranks, he's kind of chaotic and really fun to play. You will have to solve a riddle to get it! We took a picture but it only shows a shadow. We'll try to get a better shot next time!
2 new character skins
Because we realized that after the addition of golden skins, Alruna and M.I.S.S.I.N.G. were lacking 1 skin, as all the other characters already had 4! So here we are, an all white one and an all black one. We believe they suit them really well and hope you enjoy them too!
In game tutorials + extra info
We've reworked the tutorials available and created a few new ones. That way it will be easier to underestand all the mechanics the game can provide. We've also added a few pages of useful information such as the different kinds of hearts and their description.
Remaining character wallpapers!
Here's a preview. We will add them in big resolution on the launch day so you can grab them and keep them as wallpapers ːNA_Gnokiː

Welcome to devlog 02! Here are the features we’re currently working on and that will be available on the 1.0 launch day, April 26th.
Character masteries
We are happy to share that we finished all the character masteries. M.I.S.S.I.N.G.’s are really fun, as he will copy random masteries of other characters.
Key binding
We decided to wait until we developed every mechanic to add this feature, so now it’s time we can all customize keys :D
Artbook
Nordic Ashes Artbook is going really well too. It will include different sections, such as enemies and background, characters and their skins, relics… everything you see in the game will be captured in the artbook! And of course, a ton of sketches! Check out some of the pages below:
Plushie
On another note, Gnöki plush prototype is already on the making, so we should have pictures in a few weeks!
Next steps
On the following weeks we will be adding new achievements, new relics and… Gnöki told us he heard about a mysterious survivor wanting to join ranks… we’ll need to investigate more about that………………………..

Today’s the day! Finally, the last realm, Asgard, is live! We couldn’t be happier about it, it’s been a long journey and we are very grateful for you all, for your support, feedback and everything!
Asgard realm is a bit different from the others. You will fight the most known gods of Norse Mythology including Loki, Thor…! We’ve been wanting to develop them since day one :D
This realm will also include a 5th wave to make things more epic. Expert mode will also have a surprise at the end. We won’t spoil much more so you can explore this realm by yourselves!
And now, what we all have been waiting for… future steps! Release date! New content! A new Gnöki plush?! Let’s go one by one:

Asgard Ragnarok and Nightmare

Gnöki Plush
Many of you have written to us asking how to get a Gnöki plush. As the past campaign was a success, we will be releasing a new version of the Gnöki plush, based on the illustration below. We’re really hyped about it! More details in the future.
Dark Knight Skins
Long time ago we decided these skins would be Early Access Exclusive, but after reading your feedback (and thank you for the people who write polite feedback) we’ve decided to make them permanent, just as the event skins. However, just as themed skins, it will be easier to get them before 1.0 as a thank you for the early support of the game.
Price increase
It will be 2 years of development the day we release the game. We never imagined this game would turn out so big. We love reading comments and watching people that have played for 1hour, 10 hours… more than a 100 hours?! It’s so amazing! And for all this content and effort developing the game we firmly believe that the price should be increased. Its future price will change from 4.99$ to most likely, 8.99$. This will happen on March 25th.
If you want to get it at a discounted price, we have a 20% discount running until Feb 24th, and Spring Sale will still be there before the price increase, so you can still grab it at a lower price then.
News updates
We won’t be updating the game after next week. But as always, we’d like to keep you informed about our progress and what we’re developing. So expect a News post every two weeks or so.
Future DLCs
On the release date, we will have 2 DLCs available: Artbook and Soundtrack. Both of them will be available on the store page.
And after release, we will start working on content DLCs! We still have many ideas we’d like to add to the game that would suit very well as DLCs.

We’d like to celebrate Lunar Year with you and we’ve added a few features to the game!
First of all, you will be able to unlock Hansi’s Guard skin in honor to the Year of the Loong!
Second, you will find a couple event relics, an egg and a firework, both in Gnöki’s realm and in shrines. The egg will turn into a loong companion that will help you in your battle!
To unlock Hansi’s skin, you will need to conquer Muspelheim in any difficulty playing as him.
This event will take place from Feb. 10th-25th. After that, requirements to get Hansi's skin will change, just as we did with the other event skins.
Please notice that themed relics will appear more often than regular ones. On that note, you may disable the Year of the Loong event on the Settings panel if you prefer to play regular runs.
Improvements - Relic Exchanger
You will now have until the first boss fight to reset the run without losing the relics you chose. If you die before the first boss, relics won't be lost either. We will keep improving this feature, but at least we wanted to add this small improvement that will make things much more fair.
Fixes
After enabling zero alpha, some particles were not working correctly after activating alpha once again.
Amaranth’s plant companions and Alruna’s Spiky bones were not spawning correctly in some cases.
Elite phoenixes from Muspelheim were inflicting damage with the telegraph of their tornados.
Some sounds were spawning when they shouldn’t.

For now, previous bosses have been balanced and we’ve added a new one. Future beta updates before next Thursday will include wave 5, which will look something like this!

On Saturday we will welcome a new themed event, this time about Chinese Lunar Year (year of the Dragon!) We will release a new character skin and a friendly companion that will help you battle through Ragnarok.

Today is Asgard Beta day! Explore the kingdom of Aesir (quite destroyed due to Ragnarok events). Fight its guardians and face, at last, its legendary gods.
And as for today, we will have available half of the run. You will be able to explore Asgard and fight the first two bosses.
We will keep working on part two of the beta, which will be released next week. This will include a fifth wave too!

Hello vikings!
Today as promised, we have a seed update! ːNA_Seedː ːNA_Seedː ːNA_Seedː There’s always a moment where you don’t know what to do with your seeds anymore, so we needed to do something about it. And even if you still haven’t exchanged all the available leaves for seeds, we think you will enjoy this update very much too!
Seed plants
The first announcement is that you will find seed plants across the realms! That way you will be able to earn many more seeds on each run. Hit them a few times to earn seeds.
One of the reasons is that this way you can get a bunch of leaves faster, and the other one goes as follows:
Relic Exchange:
You will find a new tab on the main menu called Relic Exchange. In this panel you will be able exchange some of your seeds for relics which will appear at the beginning of your next run. These relics can be active and passive relics, but not Ancestral relics in any case (the ones belonging to each character). Up to 15 relics will appear.
You will see relic seed prices vary depending on their rarity. Each relic will also have an energy cost. You will be able to add up to 5 relics depending on their energy. This way you may get 5 commons, or 2 epics, or 1 common 1 legendary, etc. For a small amount of seeds you will be able to reroll the weapons that appeared. You may also lock relics by previously selecting them so they don’t reroll with the rest. Once you’re done, just close the panel and the relics you selected will appear right when you start a new run. These relics will only be available until your next run ends, so choose wisely.
You will need to earn 10k seeds to unlock this feature.

Ragnarok VI and VII added to Custom Mode.
Fixes
Immunity Knot relic didn't avoid you getting frozen in Jotunheim.
