Hello Beautiful people. Alpha patch 1.4 is now live. This patch primarily focused on Ai fixes and a new spawning mechanic.
I am going to just jump into the patch notes. And as usual stay beautiful and I look forward to your feedback and suggestions in the forums.
--Patch Notes—
All animal AI code rewritten.
All zombie code rewritten.
Blood effects added to all animals and zombies.
Hurt sounds and animations added to zombies.
Spawning system completely redesigned from scratch. (It now follows the player and does all kinds of checks for; distance to player on spawn, enemy variety, Enemy density, Distance from player to de-spawn enemy) The new system will guarantee that you will always have a set amount of AI around and a good variety of enemies.
Wave Spawn Mechanic (There is a new mechanic for night time. Zombies will spawn and swarm your location until the morning)
Cheval de fries added (spiked barricade). This is a new defense item to help you stay alive at night.
Craftables ground bug fixed. (Crafted items can now once again be correctly placed on the ground). To fix this one I had to disable something that footstep sounds relied on. Don’t worry I will bring them back. I just need to change how they work.
Day and night cycle has now been added to the save system.
In game clock added.
Days counter added. (This does not tell you what in game day it is. Instead it tells you how many days you survive in between dying)
Hurt sounds for the player fixed. (The player will now make a sound when taking any kind of damage regardless of source. This means when you run out of hunger and thirst you will be able to tell you are dying)
Punching animation replaced.
Distance fog is now gone.
Foliage render distance increased.
Lighting adjusted.
Snakes now poison you.

Fixed Unarmed (Fixed animations, Fixed resource hit detection, Fixed First person Unarmed not working)
Added hit sounds for Unarmed
Added footstep sounds to player
Fixed inventory weights and slot counts for backpacks and storage chests.
Adjusted stat reduction to decrease at half the rate.
Added new crafting recipe for plant fibres.

Alpha patch 1.3 has landed. This patch was entirely focused on bug fixes and laying groundwork for future work.

Main character mesh changed (A naked character was added to allow better use of the clothing system and to prep for the planned create a character feature)
Cardboard armour replaced with cloth clothes

Patch Notes
Reduced the size of towns
Reduced amount of shadow from grass
Cascaded shadows implemented.
What this means for you guys and girls. You should see a noticeable increase to FPS and a significant decrease to loading times at towns. The whole thing should run a little smoother.

Hello beautiful people
Map Patch 2 has finally landed. YAY
Patch Notes
9 new zombies
POIs are now towns you can explore and loot
Terrain size increased by a lot. Roughly 8 times more playable space.
All vegetation and foliage models replaced.
Navigation is now dynamic and more accurate.
Animal ai re-written to use new navigation.
Zombie Ai now re-written to use new navigation.
Swimming physics are a thing now.
Level streaming (because of the massive size of the map this was needed. You may notice a little lag when moving between sublevels at POIs)
Clouds now dynamically move.
All lighting has been adjusted and improved.
Shadows also adjusted and improved.
Distance volumetric rendering fog added in.
Water interacts to Ai and player now.
Vegetation now reacts to wind.
Map Markers added for each city.
Vegetation biomes added. (Rocky areas, Beachy Areas, Forest Areas etc)
Zombies no longer give loot but try to kill you when you are trying to get loot.
32bit dropped. Game is using 64 bit again. (New larger map wasn't possible in 32bit). This means full controller support is gone and we are back to partial controller support. Don't fret I will add this back in later in development.

Full controller support now added.
64bit to 32bit swap. (So, the game can be played on low end computers)
Game optimized further to reduce noticeable performance loss.
Some small changes to the GUI; New mouse Icon, changed cross hair color, Changed player marker color.
Changed the code behind the scenes for receiving device input (to prevent cross over and code interruption).
Scroll wheel control of the Hot-bar added.
