July 26 Patch 1.2.6 - Server Wipes, Traveling Merchants, and Summer Camp Contest Extended!
Howdy Outlaws!
Looks like there's much hustle and bustle happening around these parts. Last patch we saw the arrival of the Snake Oil Salesmen. Business as a traveling merchant must be booming because it looks like more wandering wizards... err, wandering cowboys, are entering the traveling merchant scene!
**With the 1.2.6 patch update, we will also be wiping all Official Servers in order to address the overall balancing issues since the last wipe.** We've paid attention to all of your feedback and reports, which have been integral in our efforts to fine tune the Outlaws experience, and feel that a server wipe will be the best course of action at this stage. Thank you for being a part of the Outlaws Early Access journey, we look forward to continuing to shape the game with everyone!
Added Camp Cook, a wandering merchant who sells Coffee Beans, Coffee Grinder, Cup of Joe, Cooking Utensiles (Frying Pan), Chicken Coup.
Added Trader Chester, a wandering merchant who sells a mix of items.
Added Prospector, a wandering merchant who sells a new higher tier Pickaxe, and Mine Deeds.
Made telescope and camera interactions more reliable.
Handled destruction of cameras/telescopes while looking through them.
Fixed hotbar slot disappearing on auto sort.
Fixed crosshair staying on screen after death.
Fixed covered wagon saving.

Lowered the health of miners by 20%.
Fixed wagon interactions which would break when mounting and dismounting in different patterns.
VFX & Assets:
Fixed foot position not working on bandits so animations should blend better when stopping and other actions that look to that value.
Added Gold 2 handed Pickaxe.

Update on Future Patches

We know you guys have been eagerly anticipating news of the next patch. We would like to announce that we will now be moving to monthly patches. Not to worry, we haven't slowed down! We are paying attention to all your bug reports and feedback, and the Development Team continue to be hard at work fixing the code and looking into how we can make Outlaws of the Old West into the best game it can be! We hope that this change will help to bring out higher quality patches in the future! :)
In the meantime, please stay tuned for some Community updates!
Note: We are aware of the server outages and have already contacted our Server Hosts. They are continuing maintenance work on their end, so unfortunately some servers may still be down at this time. A New Sheriff's in Town!
Some of you outlaws with keen eyes may have noticed a change in the wind! That's right, there's a new Sheriff in town...
Wizard Khalifa has come riding into the Wild West!
Howdy Folks!
In the spirit of keeping the wizard theme that was established, I will be known as "Wizard Khalifa" in these parts! As First Wizard embarks on a new adventure, I will be filling in his boots as Community Manager. Please wish him well! :)
First off, we saw that there was some confusion about First Wizard's role during his tenure as Sheriff of the Wild West, and would like to clear things up. First wizard was NOT head of the project. He was not a developer, nor was he a lead for Outlaws development. At this time, there is no change within the Outlaws development team and development will continue to proceed normally. We apologize for the misconception. :(
With that being said, please excuse me for the late introduction - the road to the Wild West is a rough one! I am excited to be on board, and as a Community Manager, I will continue to act as the liaison between the community and the development team. :) It is incredible to see all of the community involvement and support in helping shape Outlaws of the Old West. We've made some amazing strides and understand that there is still a lot more work to be done. My goal is to increase our community team's involvement and to have a more active presence. At this time, I am continuing to familiarize myself with both my new role and with the community. A lot of the changes will be internal for now as we restructure our community team, so I'd like to apologize in advance for the lack of communication on my part during this transition period. It does take some time to settle into a new town, after all. ;) Rest assured, we are still paying attention to all your reports, feedback, and suggestions!
We have a lot of ideas and are excited to bring more to the community! Please feel free to find me at the Official Outlaws of the Old West Discord: https://discord.gg/RAgVY54
See you guys out on the frontier!
-- Wizard Khalifa and the Outlaws Community Team
***Again, the only change at this time is with the Community Team. The Development Team remains the same and development will proceed per usual.
