Today we have great news!The second big update of Portobugia called The Missing Treasure is here! This update focuses on improving ships inspection!
The new boat generation system
We updated the way boats are generated. Now, this is a procedural system, it allows for a much bigger diversity of boats without adding too many new parts. Also, ships now have doors and windows that can be opened. Be sure to open them because there can be artifacts hidden everywhere!
We added a small feature that inverts the position of the things you need to inspect. As you can see here, the flag and ship name is inverted. The player must pay attention to not fall into this small trap!
Along with a remake of the "Pier". It now has a crane and a beautiful animation with it!
The museum
The artifacts you gather when inspecting ships arrive in the museum. In the museum, you can inspect them to gain knowledge, or you can just sell them for money!
The factory
The factory is a new building for the late game. It is unlocked after researching electricity and clearing the forest. As you can see in the picture below (WIP of the interface), the factory will have different recipes with different inputs and outputs.
With the factory comes a new resource: Scrap! It will be produced in the factory, the quantity will depend on the recipe that has been selected. Scraps will be used in events and in the Dockyard for repairing ships faster!

With the addition of the factory and museum, we needed to update the tech tree. We decided to change its overall look to be more cartoony!

Big update 1 : The fog village (v0.6) is here!
Hi everyone ! This the patch note of our first big update : "The fog village" (v0.6).
New content
- Full mouse support : you can rotate by right clicking and move by going to the edge of the screen - 9 new musics ! - A whole new map for the game with a beautiful environment - Paths appear when the corresponding building is built - A priest comes randomly at the entrance of the port - Other surprises spread over the map - When the Dockyard and the Sawmill are not constructed, there are rocks - The tuto map have been updated - 12 new events have been added to the game - These new events have more complex effects than the previous ones - New pictures for some the old events - 40 new flags ! - 25 new names ! - 14 new numbers ! - New mesh for the Repair dockyard - 4 new technologies ! - 2 new upgrades in the Telegraph ! - 1 new upgrade in the pier - We added the time remaining for the current upgrade - New skins for units : women, doctors, mechanics - Units can now have a cap - New visuals indicators for some upgrades ! - Electric poles are constructed with the Telegraph - A new man filling a report - A new man ready to disinfect anything - We added more life to the port - A warning when a save game has a different version of the game - A slow mo effect when the game is paused
Changes
- The tech tree have been changed, it is clearer than before! - The "ship checking" menu have been modified to look a bit better and to be more clear - We adjusted the movement of the ships - We adjusted the placement of the buildings - If game is launched for the first time, max FPS will be set to 60

Big update 1 : The fog village (v0.6) is coming soon!
Hi everyone! Today we have great news! Today, I will present you the first big update of Portobugia called The Fog Village! This update will be released in 1 month! This first update focuses on adding content to the game along with adding a new map to play with!
The new map
This is the current (or old depending on when you see this post):
And this is the new map: We have changed the map because we wanted to have something a bit more alive! It also makes it like the port is more real and not floating alone in the void :). We hope you like the change! For us, it creates new opportunities to make different maps in the game. These maps will have a different world around them!
The new tech tree
The tech tree has changed too, the space is better used and it looks a lot clearer than before! For example, before, to construct the fishing dock you needed to buy an upgrade in the sawmill but with how was designed the tech tree you were not able to understand it. Now it is clearly shown in the tech tree! We also added 4 new technologies: medicine, disinfection, wires, and Baudot. Now, to construct the telegraph you will need to research wires and Baudot first. Moreover, the telegraph has more upgrades! Disinfection is required for one of the new upgrades in the game. The upgrade is also called disinfection and it lowers the chance of infection of the boats that come in the pier (very useful for mid/late game).
New flags, names, and serial numbers for ships
We added a lot of new flags as you can see! We hope that it will reduce repetitiveness during the inspection. Along with these new flags, we added new names and new serial numbers.
New events
The event where a car breaks down now has a picture! Along with this, new broken versions of the car and the truck have been created! Now, There are events that will have more complex effects than just giving/removing resources! For example, we have a "Strikes" event where employees of the port ask for better wages! You can accept their demands but their wages will increase or refuse and their productivity will be reduced!

Small update 4 (v0.5.4) : Bugs
Hi everyone! Again, a small patch for fixing some issues.
Car/horse cart:
Fix: It was impossible to select it in the tutorial
Fix: It was sent when game was paused if "autosend" was activated
Fix: It will now give back the resources if the car breaks while employee was running to it
Fix: It will now wait the game to be unpaused before going to the city
Fix: The employee who repairs the car now uses the right tool
Chg: Saves will now be deleted when you loose
Fix: Now it is not possible to select the boat which is repairing

Hi everyone! Again, a small patch for fixing some issues.
Saves:
Add: A new save system which stores information about the save
Add: Difficulty is now shown in save slots
Cars :
Add: FX with coins for when the car comes back from the city
Fix: Car model when buying car after having buy a upgrade for the cars
Add: Hitbox to the car menu, it will not close when you misclick outside anymore!
Balance: Horses and cars will now take more time to come back from the city
