What’s new?



  • We made some focus on the playability. We change the entire gameflow of the previous version. The main problem of version 1.0.008 was the gameflow, and how the player tried to solve the situations to move forward.
    Some puzzles were too hard, so we changed the difficulty. On the other hand, in the mission 1 you had to go all over the house just to find 3 photos.
    We have changed that, and the game design became linear, therefore, we will be much more oriented. Therefore, we focus on balancing the playability of this version.
  • We added new puzzles.
  • We have been created new gameplays.
  • We reduced the complexity of the puzzle with sliding pieces.
  • We created a different Anna's AI
  • We modify the time of falling when the player doesn't have a candle
  • Hungarian translation was added and German was completed.
  • We created and changed some graphics details in the canvas, loading, and in the level.


What has been fixed?



  • We fixed a bug related to doors.
  • We fixed a bug related to Henrietta.
  • We fixed a bug related to the player.
  • We fixed a bug related to the move of the hand in some interactions.
  • We fixed some translations errors.
  • We decreased the chance of falling when running without a light.
  • We fixed a problem related to the secondary mission.
  • We fixed the camera movement in some interactions.


What will be the next?




  • We are working on chapter 2 and a completely different situations to face.

Project Nightmares are not just corridors. We are currently working on another part of the game as well.
The next update will be the modification of the first chapter. We are making some things easier, others a bit harder. We are trying to balance the game.

  • The portrait of mission two is rotated when you put Continue from the menu
  • We fixed a bug that stop the game in the sliding puzzle
  • We fixed a salt dish bug that stop the game

  • We fixed a bug where the candle melt down while the player is solving the puzzle
  • We fixed a bug where the interaction was blocked.

  • Fixed several sound issues.

What's new?



  • The FOV parameter was added. We recommend keeping the FOV low for screens with an aspect ratio wide such as 16:9, 16:10, 32:9, etc. and an FOV of 85 or 90 for screens with an aspect ratio of 4:3, 5:4, etc.
  • The player's movement speed was modified. Now you will walk faster and run faster.
  • The time at which the candle goes out when running was modified. (We still have to adjust this)
  • The rotating parts puzzle was modified. Each piece has a timer, and there is a unique combination to solve it. We decided to add a system for each piece to lock it when it reaches the position.
  • We add a button to handle a tool with the left hand and a tool with the right hand.
  • We add some more clues.


What's next?


The next version is 1.0.009. This version will have some modifications in some missions to change the gameflow.

Version 1.0.008 has arrived.

Thanks to the people who bought it and played it. We were able to achieve our goal.
We are very happy to announce that the game is coming very well and already has a date of launch for 2020. If you like this first part, you will love whats coming!




What's new?



  • We added voice acting.
  • We added more puzzles.

  • Improve some animations. (We consider this as a final polishing)
  • The FOV (Field of view). I know this is important, but we had to make this update first. I need some time to change the FOV without change the esthetic of the game. We are working on it.

The game is currently in English and Spanish, it's a matter of time until we will add the different languages ​​again. During this month, We will be uploading the missing languages.

New Trailer and New Update on October 1st

Let's celebrate Halloween with a horror game!

This october 1st will come with a new update (v1.0.008). The development is accelerating because we already have the core of the game.

Where are we?

Hi guys!,
We are here to let you know that we are gonna be updating the game soon, with several new things such as more missions, autosave, new environments, voices, and more.
We organized our time and set some goals for this year and for the release of the game in the year 2020.
The idea of ​​this announcement is to inform the status of the game.
While the missions are relatively fast to develop, the core of the game took time. I wrote the scripts to be extensible, flexible and to use the less CPU possible, and Ignacio made the art cool and without smashing your GPU.

  • We modified Henrietta's AI.
  • We modified Henrietta's animations
  • We added an automatic defense gameplay against Henrietta.
  • Salt dishes were added to search inside the level.
  • Arabic and German translation were added.
  • New models were created.


What has been fixed?



  • We fixed the bug where the effect of dizziness keep after falling and restart.
  • We fixed the movement of the entity that kills us when we stay long time in the dark.
  • Decreased the chance of falling when running without light.
  • Fixed camera errors when trying to open the doors.
  • Camera movement was corrected in some interactions.
  • Error of indexes in mission of portraits was corrected. Sometimes it caused a deadend and the next mission could not be continued.
  • Menu bugs were fixed.




What will be the next? (versión 1.0.008)

Version 1.0.005

The version 1.0.005 has come.


What's new?



  • We have added a new mission.
  • We have added a secondary mission.
  • When you finish the mission you will earn an object that will be useful to solve some mysteries and to get useful clues or signals.
  • We have been working on the objects that the player will be able to examine. As a sample we have loaded a few items on the house.
  • Textures have been changed
  • Models have been created.
  • Antialiasing was added.


What has been corrected?



  • Fixed a resize problem with super ultra wide monitors (32:9 and others).
  • The canvas was adjusted to be independent of the aspect ratio.
  • A possible bug was corrected with the door where the camera was at an impossible angle
  • Some interaction times were corrected. The idea is to adjust these times until the cinematics do not interrupt the gameplay.
  • The ripple noise that occurs when Henrietta kills you was corrected for some hardware. In some hardware it was really exaggerated.
  • Some animations of the main character were corrected.

What will be next? (version 1.0.006)



  • The keyboard setup will be enabled.
  • The gamepad will be enabled.
  • Graphic settings will be enabled and others will be added. ie: Blur, FOV, Depth of field (DOF), etc.

Version 1.0.004

The version 1.0.004 has arrived


The last months have been really hard, we have been working on the main structure of the game.
We worked on the objects that will illuminate our path.
The candle can turn off when we run, on fast turns, or in some specific events.
The candle will also melt. You have to look for candles in the house in case it goes out.
If you let the candle melting completely, it could burn your hand, and you would end up releasing it.
When the candle or the object that illuminates our path goes out, the paranormal entities will be able to attack us more easily. We have some plans on this point..
You must keep the X key pressed to see how many candles you are carry.


The game will have several easter eggs, and we have added some new ones.
The environment will now change, the sections of the house could change every time you play. Remember, it's a nightmare.


We added a console that can be opened with F1. To watch the available codes, type "Nightmares." and the autocomplete will show you the options availables.
You can check the fps in the game with Nightmares.Showfps. To remove the fps you must type Nightmares.Hidefps
We added some new models in the house.


Corrections


In these months we have fixed many bugs, and the game is much more stable
Some bugs have been fixed in the gameplays.
Bugs were corrected in the main character, sometimes when opening doors he was decapitated lol :P
We fix a bug where the decapitated entity was spawned in impossible places
Foot slip corrected (All the animations still need to be corrected, the final version will have mocaps or that is what we want, we are collecting money for this point)
We fix the shake when Henrietta killed us face to face, that was happening in some hardwares.


In another thread


We are working on new environments in the house, new paranormal entities. Some are already finished, others are being modified.
This will come only in the final version. We are creating new achievements, new missions, and they will not be easy.


What's next?


From now on, we are gonna made updates much more often.
We will release the parameters in the options menu, graphics, keyboards, etc.
We are gonna transport this option menu to the gameplay so you could change the parameter inside the game just like other games.
A new mission will come. Henrietta animations will be fixed, new models are being created and much more ...
