Devlopment Progress #17 Survival Mode Reveal!

Its Time!!


The big survival mode release is upon us! its still work in progress and will stay that way till I know it is ready for primetime release! but I say its ready for a work in progress demo update witch will allow all of you to play it! check out the video below to see the cool and exciting things that are to come with this update! Devlopment Progress #16 1 Year ago!

One year ago I had posted my announcement that my game store page is live! Crazy to think its been a year already! This game has really came a long way since the store page going public.

Here's a little overview of the year!



  1. A month later we Launched the first trailer to the game also showing off the song that I got permission to use from the artist!
  2. The demo of the game came out 4 months later after the store page launch!
  3. We had three total demo updates with the last one being the launch of Level 1 and the story teaser!
  4. Lately the news have been about SURIVIVAL mode. This game mode is close to a work in progress Demo release! like really close! a few more things need to be worked on but overall we could that that very soon! Will have more details in a few weeks! who know maybe a release then?? I guess you'll find out
  5. We are still looking to do a next year release! There's still a lot of work to do but I'll be sure to keep you all informed on when the release will be!
  6. I just want to thank you all for the journey we have been on so far! it means a lot to me especially being the only developer on this game!


Devlopment Progress #15 September Update!

Since the last update I've got a lot more completed and its really starting to get to a point where I could release a work in progress survival demo mode update! So this is the list that still needs to be worked on!

Enemy AI
Got almost all the AI converted over to survival mode! just need to get one more added which will take a little bit of a rework for that ai.

Wall Weapons
so far most wall weapons work except a few. I still have to fix a few bugs that comes along with this as well but so far test have proven to be fixed just have to finish implementing the fix.

Drops
2 of the 4 drops that I have in progress are working! Still need to get the texture for third one and the fourth one still has to be programmed and tested

End screen
so far is working but need to get the stats working a bit better for it which the least priority right now.

Devlopment Progress #14 August Update!

Here is the list of stuff that I need to work on for the survival mode release! I happen to fix a few things that were an issue like upgrading weapons not working correctly. These here are the things that I still need to work on and get done! once I have these completed the game should get completed fairly quickly from here! at least that's the hope I haven't really had much time to work on it lately.

Doors
All the doors are working so far But isn't purchasable yet so I would need to add that feature in.

Enemy AI
Still need to fix spawning rules and how they spawn and which ones spawn. meaning more verity.

Devlopment Progress #13 Current Progress!

Since the last update I've been working a lot with the survival mode! Here's a list of things that I have get done!

First off I just want to put it out there that I did release a beta version out to the play testers and the full owners of the game! Which is a big step for working on trying to squash all the bugs as much as possible before full release! I still have a lot of work to do but it is getting there.

Map design
overall map design looks good but need to add a few more details and change a few little things.

Weapons
need to reset when not equipped some work some doesn't yet.

Doors
All the doors are working so far But isn't purchasable yet so I would need to add that feature in.

Enemy AI

I know this may seem like a lot of work yet and it is but I'm working really hard to try and get this completed as quick as i can! Once I get these features working and everything bug tested as much as i can. It will go live to the Demo. With that being said the demo will have everything that it would need and I can work on the normal game until it gets closer to release. The only updates i'll make to the demo is mainly bug/balance updates.

Devlopment Progress #12 2 month update

So over the past 2 months I've been working on trying to get the survival mode into a better position for release. I've also took a break from developing for a bit because I needed to figure out how I wanted the survival mode to be. It's been difficult for sure but I think I have a list of things that I need to complete before it can go into a work in progress release. Granted that means there are possible Crashes and bugs, But I'm gonna try to eliminate those as much as possible. I'm hoping within a few months I'll be able to have another update out to the demo for a work in progress survival map! But that all depends on how development goes. This game mode I'm trying to make is very new to me and trying to get it just right has been tough.

Quietus Allurement Demo Update #3

This update has been in the works for a long while! I've been spending a lot of time with this update and making it tie in with everything a whole lot better!

Patch Notes


NOTE: This update is probably not going to work with saves to do how much is changed!!
Added: Death Animation for Dare Devils.
Added: A new button to skip tutorial of Level 1.
Added: Level 1 has been released! It may be a bit buggy but I hope not.
Added: Attachment text above the attachments.
Optimized: Enemy flying monster code.
Optimizing: Player code to get prepared for survival.
Added level 1 voicelines. This level is getting closer to release!
Fixed: Player Jumping in certain levels at spawn.
Fixed: certain lights to flicker again. vertical lights dont do this for the time being. Still working on getting it to work. Decreased amount of bullets required to shoot out the lights.
Fixed: Bullet flare was not finishing the animation so the flare was staying on screen.
Improved: certain menus to have a higher scaling than what it was before! Will be doing more Levels and menus in the future!
Changed: background music is no longer at max volume when 100% in game. To balance out the voices that will be in game later.
Changed: Level 4 Elevator Moving Platform light is not as bright anymore.
Fixed: Voices don't bug out when quitting and restarting levels

Added: Loadout attachments have descriptions to each attachment.
Work in progress: Weapon stats affected by attachments are not completed yet. Trying to find the best way to work this.
Added: a few buttons have interaction with them when hovered over it.
Changed: Positioning of signatures to account for dual wield weapons.
Changed: Weapon positioning to avoid weapons being cut off in the loadout.

Devlopment Progress #11 UI Updates/Improvements

What's been going on lately?


Optimizing


The last past month I've been working a lot on making it more universal for my code to where If I have to make a change it will change for both modes. I've been spending a lot of time with this because I don't want to break something in story and have it to where its unplayable.

Loadout UI changes


Some other changes I made has been in the loadout. Weapons that have duel wield will now draw 2 weapons on screen instead of just one. and Silencer will also show up on there as well. Overall I've been working on those 2 things.

Survival Progress


I've also been trying to figure out the best method for the survival mode and where I want that game mode to be.

New Levels?


I'm hoping soon I'll have more details soon about level 1. I'm still awaiting voice lines but I'm thinking I'm gonna be going to a backup plan and get them quicker. Level 1 is done I just have to add the voice lines!
That's my goal is to get this level released shortly! I'll also have it to where you can skip level 1 in the demo but when full game releases you wont be able to skip since it is a key part of the story. Maybe I could add a thing later on after release that only works if you have beat the game once.

Devlopment Progress #10 Survival Progress!

I just want to thank everyone that has tried out my game demo or even put my game on their wishlist! This week during steam next fest! This week has one of the best weeks for my game and I really enjoy where the game is going! I have updates planned and in the works for more additional content in the future! With these updates you wont be seeing stuff for survival because its still in progress but just know that I'm working on it!

This week I've been taking a look at survival. There is a lot of features that I'm still working on that I really want to get working. But slow progress is being made with this mode! I still have a lot to do. But I want to sure a sneak preview of what you could see in the map Santa's Workshop! The image down below shows the Starting section of the map. The overlay looks really good so far and I'm really liking the way the first part of one of the maps is looking!

Quietus Allurement Demo Update #2

The demo has been progressing and I've been working on taking a lot of consideration into the game and what I want the game to be. I had to think long and hard about the upcoming weapon nerfs but I think this will make the game just a bit harder with higher tier weapons which is a good thing. Down below is all the Fixes and additions I made in the update! There will be more updates to come! to improve overall gameplay and get ready to release the survival mode!


Update News!
Added: Elevator sign since it wasn’t as noticeable as what I thought it would be.
Added: other player arm to hornet weapon textures
Added: lights in the dark level after elevator or stairs
Added: Sprinting while reloading isn’t possible anymore.
Added: Game Overlay description has been added to the info page This is still work in progress. I just want to add this so people can know more about the game overlay and more details will be added soon.
Fixed: Blood background on death doesn’t work with certain levels
Fixed: Audio loops with phantom and monster when attacking.
Fixed: Monsters going right through the spikes.
Fixed: Destroyer was still using the old damage system.
Fixed: Flying monsters facing the wrong way when spawning in then fixing themselves.
Changed: door Texture in story mode
Weapon Changes
Tac-P2002 max damage reduced by 5.
Arctic Freeze max damage reduced by 4.
The weapons below are nerfed by fire-rate and magazine size.
Warhead max damage reduced by 14.
Illuminator max damage reduced by 25.

Rampage max damage reduced by 8.
Eradicator max damage reduced by 15.
Hornet max damage reduced by 23.
