Greetings from CasselWolf, the development team of Ratropolis!

We are very sorry for bringing up an unfortunate news first; the development of upcoming Navigator Leader Plus Mode has not been completed over this September, and will be released in late October.

The list below is what we are planning to change for Update 1.0.701.

- Navigator Leader will get an overhaul (with new Cards and Abilities).
- A total of 40 new Cards for the entire Leaders.
- Some Leaders will have their Abilities changed, and their Passives will be given to special Advisors, who are exclusive to a specific Leader.
- Appearance of the City Hall will vary depending on which Leader you are playing as.
- Leader Plus Mode will entirely replace the Standard Mode. (!!!)
- Card-Unlock Progression, Achievements and Score System will also get an overhaul.

Afterwards, we will take a look and make changes to the current Events, Regions and Nightmare Mode.

  • UI Update: Merchant and Event icons do not overlap with other icons anymore.
  • Visual Update : Adjusted the position and size of buff-value texts so they do not obscure Buff icons on an unit.

UI/UX


  • If a player unlocks a certain leader, it won't trigger an unlock conditions alarm.
  • Visual Update: New visual effect will help notice the increase of attack power, health, and employment time for deployed units.
  • Text Update: Leader's ability level has a different color so that it indicates a temporary increase.
  • [Card Bag], [Card Grave]: Player can check [Card Bag] and [Card Grave] on the game pause if a card is not being played.
  • Added an icon in [Glossary] for enemies to show what map it comes from
  • Increased the size of icons of ally units deployed on the Defense Wall.
  • Added image tool tips for cards that picks new cards so a player can see what card options are available to get.
  • Fixed the system so that a player can see expected Gold income when calling Wave immediately.

Leader Plus mode -Beta is released.
There is a major difference between the standard game and Leader Plus mode which only cards specific to a leader will appear.

As a starter, only Merchant leader is available, and we plan to increase the leader pool gradually.
After playing the game, please leave a comment and help us develop in the right direction.
Any great ideas Ratizens share, we will refer to them in future development.
Proceed to Leader Plus mode by checking the box at the bottom of the leader selection screen.

Changes in Leader Plus mode:
  • Increased initial redraw cost by 10.
  • Elites / Bosses are vulnerable(not immune) to some status effects.
  • You will encounter only Leader specific Unique cards in the game (more than 50 new cards are available).




Bug Fixes


  • [Berserker] Fixed an attack motion issue:We found out that the second strike returned no damage. From now on, wraith of [Berserker](left-hand) will not be ignored.
  • [Longbowrat] Fixed an issue that Longbowrat won't attack [Eagle Owl] under certain circumstances.
  • Fixed an issue where some enemy effects were output incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue where under certain circumstances, units try to return to the previous defensive wall after repositioned.

  • Fixed a [Quest Card] reward bug: A reward change associated with a card enhancement on a [Quest Card] by [Cleric] adviser, [Research] card, or an Event, no longer occurs.
  • [Trick] Fixed a bug that when an enhanced [Trick] card was used, players occasionally got the [Disturb Card].
  • [Expedition] [Salvage] Fixed a bug that the [Expedition] and [Salvage] failed to combo with Labor buildings or Labor cards.

  • We have increased the following differences in accordance with each region: Number of enemies, and stats.
  • Wave composition change: The enemy appearance has been reorganized in the 11 ~ 30 wave.
  • Stats of all enemies appearing between 11 and 30 waves have been changed.
  • Skill and action effect improvement has been made for enemies.


UI/UX


  • [Defensive Wall] Added a button to move units placed on the inner [Defensive Wall] to the further one at once
  • [Map Selection] Added a description tooltip for each region on the map selection screen
  • [Glossary] Glossary image is improved and a new function applied.
  • Card image will not enlarge when the card is dragged to the top of the screen.



We have accomplished the following major update roadmaps scheduled at the release of early access.

1. Add Nightmare Mode (Infinite Mode)
2. Add Shaman leader & cards
3. Add Coastal Maps and Coastal Enemies
4. Add Navigator leaders & cards.
5. Add more elite enemies and bosses.

As we prepared for this update, we took a step back and summarized the path we walked developing the Ratropolis.
There were players satisfied with the game, and also players that were are not.
The feedback returned from many players have shown us what to improve. So, we decided to extend the early access period and to make big changes in the game by accepting player's feedback.

1. Strengthening the characteristics of leaders
  - Create a unique card pool for leaders (over 100 new cards are expected)
  - Create a Leader related unique event
  - Create a Leader-specific adviser

2. Reorganization of advisers
  - Modify Advisers to have stronger influence in the game
  - Add a new adviser
  - Modify military adviser that issues cards

3. Strengthening regional characteristics
  - Add a unique system based on regions
  - Create a unique local event

There are also trivial items that need to be improved, such as polishing / balance / UI, which we plan to improve as we add new contents to the game.

Bug Fixes


  • [Quest Card] Fixed a game freeze bug when acquiring certain Quest Card.
  • Fixed a bug that increases health of [Defensive Wall] over 9999 HP using a [Quest Card].
  • Fixed a double upgrading bug on the [Quest Card] that were already upgraded. Now, copying an upgraded [Quest Card] does not allow re-upgrading a card once more.
  • Fixed a Card Image loading bug when a [Quest Card] was drawn by use of [Forge]/[Blessing]. There is no more "?" displayed on the [Quest Card].
  • Fixed a bug where the [Powder Keg] is not highlighted when attempting to use a [Quest Card] that rewards damage increase of the defensive structure.
  • Fixed a building damage reset bug where buildings enhanced with [Quest Card] were reset by the certain [Nightmare Event].
  • Fixed negative effects bug that were applied whenever [Tresure Chest] was clicked in the [Nightmare Mode].
  • Fixed a bug where [Fire Station]'s passive were not in effect if it were destroyed and repaired.
  • Fixed a bug where [Ephemeral] card's CG effects were not displayed on the preview screen when upgrading the [Ephemeral] card.
  • [Coast Map] Fixed a bug where few military units were displayed incorrectly as if they were positioned elsewhere on the grass.
