MAJOR CONTENT UPDATE ROADMAP
Hey all, I just wanted to announce my plans for the major content updates and free DLC for REDSHOT. The dates and features listed here are tentative and not set in stone, but offer a general estimation of what I currently have planned for the future.
In addition to the content listed below, each major update will come with regular bug fixes and improvements.
WINTER 2023:
[v1.1] Bounceball Update
This update brings 4 new bounceball arenas to the game, a bounceball tournament side quest, and improvements to the bounceball minigame. Winning each tournament will give the player the choice of health, stamina or ammo upgrades.
SPRING 2023:
[v1.2] Multiplayer Update
This update will bring 4 player local multiplayer support to REDSHOT in the form of co-op and versus modes. Co-op will be drop in/drop out at any time during the main campaign. Versus mode will offer deathmatch, capture the flag, and bounceball modes.
SUMMER/FALL 2023:
[v1.5] Free Epilogue DLC
This is the final planned content update for the game, bringing an expanded ending, new area(s), new weapons, new enemies, and new bosses. In addition, this update will upgrade the underlying engine version from Gamemaker Studio 2.25 to the latest 2022.x release, and will coincide with release of a switch port(and possibly xbox/playstation ports as well). All updates following this one will be bug fixes only, and will offer no new features or additional content.
[v1.09] UI Improvements and Stability
PATCH NOTES
[v1.09]
This is a massive stability and UI patch that fixes numerous bugs and refactors a lot of legacy code that led to inconsistent behavior and bugs in game. This patch polishes up a lot of code in preparation for version 1.1, which will be a major update including some new side content in the form of 3 or 4 new Bounceball arenas, in addition to the regular bug fixes and polish you'd expect from a regular update.
