This update mainly covers localization being added to the game, the first languages add are simplified chinese and traditional chinese. If you notice any problems with the localization or missing text please report them here or on discord.com/invite/wTvgNS2

Changes

  • The game is now localised to Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese
  • Stomp with the twins perk now stomps once and then again after a second
  • Once you've discovered and come close to a depth exit a marker will lead you back to it
  • If the health above player option is turned on in the menu, it will also now show your dashes and ability cooldown
  • Reduced amount of smoke and debris when breaking walls


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a crash that could happen while using a playstation controller and not using steam's input settings
  • Fixed a bug related to lazer's hitting a spectral obelisk
  • Fixed bug where Quadrigneous's legs and body could become separate
  • Chakram's should get 'stuck' in walls less often

Small patch here to address some player suggestions and issues, since the game balance has changed the global leaderboards will be reset in a day or 2

Changes

  • New powerup, ore vacuum - pulls in all ore on the ground
  • The leaderboard now has buttons to scroll positions
  • Evolution upgrade costs are now also listed under the selected upgrade
  • Added a voice volume option to the menu for those that think the voices are a little heavy..
  • The experience requirement per level has been tweaked so lower levels require less exp and higher levels needing a little more.
  • Enemy damage and hp scaling has been tweaked to increase more quickly once past depth 5
  • Event timing has been changed from an event per 2.5 minutes, to 2 minutes
  • Spawn time of Tellurius (death) has been changes from 6.5 minutes to 5.5 minutes each depth
  • Gamepad input has been slightly reworked to prevent wrong or too fast inputs aswell as hopefully preventing older gamepads from reporting stick movement when there isnt any
  • Changed the leaderboard font to something that supports more languages, let me know if your language is displayed incorrectly


Bug Fixes

  • Music should play correctly now even when your game may be running at a non optimal frame rate
  • Fixed the incorrect spelling of receive in a few spots

Repetendium Early Access has arrived !

Better get in quick copies are selling out fast ! Ok that was a lie, I dont think steam copies run out, but they could, you never know.

But yeah the game is now out in EA, so if you want all the weapons and abilities etc unlocked nows your chance ! Not to mention getting in on Early access and joining the Discord lets you suggest content and help shape how the final game will end up !

Mini patch here with mostly bugfixes

Changes

  • Crystals that are in the process of being picked up while changing depth will now appear at the start of the next depth
  • Crystals that are in the process of being picked now move faster to help prevent you outrunning them
  • Enemies at further depths now scale stronger
  • Higher levels now require a little more experience
  • Events on depths other than the first spawn earlier


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug with ammo scaling incorrectly with Quick hands
  • Fixed a bug related to enemy orb beams not spinning
  • Fixed a bug allowing the player to change depths while dead
  • Fixed a bug where the deathscreen leaderboard would sometimes not appear if you briefly lost connection to steam leaderboards

Pretty big change here, ive added a new gamemode into the game called evolution. Its a mode intended to be a little easier on players in general aswell as letting players upgrade their characters via underworld essence which is earned by playing evolution mode. Since its quite a big change its safe to expect a bug or 2.

Changes

  • New game mode, Evolution !
  • Elite enemies can no longer spawn on depth 1
  • Added some voice lines for picking up powerups
  • Ore has been renamed crystals
  • The mining companion now always collects any crystals it mines
  • The leaderboard has been updated to allow switching between Classic mode and Evolution mode as they are separate leaderboards for balance


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a rendering bug when alt tabbing
  • Fixed a few issues relating to the respawning walls level mod
  • Fixed a bug causing the brrrap ability to not fire instantly
  • Fixed a bug where ammo could be displayed incorrectly

A few big changes in this update, namely the overall game loop has been split into requiring you to go down depths/levels, which opens up possibilies like each depth having a random modifier applied to it etc. Theres also a few quality of life changes and bug fixes (i forgot what i actually fixed since last version, but the fixes are totally there :p) As this is a large update the global leaderboard will be reset.

Changes

  • Instead of the game taking place in one arena, you will now need to go down to a new depth to escape a deadly elemental (the elemental will also be a secret boss in a future update)
  • Each depth after the first has a chance to have a modifier applied to it that will effect enemies or the environment
  • Added a gameplay option to display hp/shields above your character
  • Added a gameplay option to control how closely the camera follows your cursor
  • Added a graphics option to scale the game to your screens resolution instead of sticking to pixel perfect scaling
  • Added an interact key (by default E) which is used when interacting with anything in the gameworld
  • Added global friends, global weekly, global daily to leaderboard
  • Added quit confirmation to ingame menu
  • Enemies now have a small chance to spawn empowered, empowered enemies have between 1-3 powers
  • Event/boss markers are now more obvious when they show up
  • Player stats now show on the perk and pause screen
  • Perks on the pause screen now have a mouse over tooltip

  • New enemy - A robotic worm that dig through walls

  • New perk - Fully heal when you change depths
  • New perk - Fireflies guide you to the door to the next depth
  • New perk - Increase light radius by 20%

  • New special perk - Instantly reload when you dash

Repetendium Early Access release date changed to November 4

Hey guys, ive decided to push the Early Access release date back 2 weeks to give me a little bit of extra time to work on a couple of features that I dont think are upto my quality standard yet. No one likes delays but i think it will be worthwhile in the end :)

Please make sure your version is atleast 0.1.1.0 or you will crash viewing leaderboards. I had to update some leaderboard code for expanded functionality and the old version will no longer be capable of reading the new leaderboards which will most likely cause a hard crash.
