The rainforest, swamp, desert, and winter biomes have been added!


  • The stove shovel recipe has been fixed
  • Fixed compost bin crash

  • Raw meat gives a debuff of lower health and hunger

  • Several buildings were given proper durability to resist weather for a period of time
  • You can no longer pick up buildings if they are damaged (repair them first)
  • Press "R" when looking at an item to attempt to repair it (if you have the resources it will repair)

Update 28

Wolf hide can be turned into leather
Claymore received small nerf
Stove updated and can make vegetable stew at it
Multiple types of cloth armor you can craft have been added
Wheat flour can be made at the mortar from wheat
Pecan flour can be made at the mortar from pecan nuts
Wheat bread can be baked
Pecan bread can be baked
Wheat can be grown
White onions can be grown

Added dropped meshes for flax items
Skeleton knight dungeon has some changes
Rain Catcher added: Craft it at the forge. Place empty jars in it and they will fill with water.
The next biome is shaping up with new trees, and bushes.
Fish and birds are making random appearances

Update 27

Spoiled meat turns into the proper item now
Mushrooms decay
Chests are easier to pick in the skeletal knight dungeon
Barrels are not locked in the skeletal knight dungeon
All cooked meat gives at least a small buff to energy
Rain and wind protection values show on clients
Personal crafted items will fill your toolbar if possible before dropping on the ground
Campfires properly burn out in the rain or wind now if the weather is extreme enough
Several chests make a locked sound if you try to open when they are locked
Interacting with wells will auto drink from them
Many crafted items take damage if they are exposed to the weather
Fixed stringy steak having the wrong description and hover-name
Bed graphic has been updated
There are piles you can dig from using a shovel (sand, clay, etc.)
You can craft shovels at the workbench
Skeletal knights should not spawn on the cave top any more

Update 26

Picking up a container with "Y" no longer gives you extra items
You can make water jars at a well
All new mushrooms can be picked up
Several forge blueprints now only require 1 crystal and not 6
Removed some floating rocks around the island keep
Workbench build outline has been fixed
Skeleton knights drop different loot from basic skeletons
Reduced the number of spawning rhinos
Forge now requires fuel to operate
The oven now requires fuel to operate

All new weather / health system!
The campfire, oven, furnace, and forge put off heat
You take damage if your core temperature drops below 45F (7C)
Your core temperature is affected by your wind protection versus the current wind conditions
Your core temperature is affected by your rain protection versus the current rain conditions
Your core temperature is affected by your thermal protection versus the current snow conditions
Fires go out if there is too much rain, wind, or snow (and they are exposed)

Update 21

  • Fixed shared experience not working properly
  • Fixed picking up built items not working properly

Update 22

  • Bows do more damage
  • Deer are spooked less and run slower
  • Boars make noise when they attack
  • Spawns are in for the new dungeon
  • Treasure added to the new dungeon
  • Spells now require scrolls to cast them
  • You can make spell scrolls at the spellbinding pedestal
  • Build a spellbinding pedestal at the workbench
  • Reagents used to make scrolls can be found around the land (mushrooms, etc.)

  • Newbie cheat starter stuff has been removed

Update 20

Reduced tree drops, again
Fixed the arachnid boss animations

No build zone added around the Island Keep
The length of the day has been doubled
Pressing "o" will auto-pickup any items around you (this ONLY works on player items)
When monsters are killed, every player online receive experience ((Experience/#Online)*1.25)

Update 19 is here already!

  • Giant spiders have been buffed a little
  • Crafting a press barrel gives you the right output item
  • Fixed the press barrel recipe
  • You can eat pecan butter from the toolbar
  • Equipping cloth armor no longer shows the incorrect character model
  • Several container names have been fixed
  • Trees drop leaves in clumps
  • Trees can drop sticks
  • Fixed small pine tree #1 showing the wrong model when close.
  • Nights are 50% shorter
  • Foliage burns in torches longer
  • Wood burns in campfires longer
  • Torches no longer come with wood (sticks now)
  • The crop watering special-fx has been changed and toned down a lot
  • Fixed wolves not dropping wolf meat
  • Campfires can cook wolf meat
  • Brain 3d models have been changed to skulls to make easier to see
  • Wind volume has been turned down.
  • Removed loot you could'nt reach in a viking village

Update 18

AI Changes

There are now three kinds of AI in Rogue Frontiers:
1) Normal animals that eat, drink, breed, and wander around.
2) Enemy AI in dungeons that will attack you if they detect you.
3) Enemy AI in the wild that will attack you or your base.

Crafting

  • There is a new press barrel to make items. It can be built at the workbench.
  • There is a new cauldron you can use to brew new elixirs. It can be built at the forge.

Locations

  • There are two new viking villages around to loot.
  • Spider "corner" has appeared. Its dangerous is full of fun loot.
  • The island that was flat, is no longer flat and has something on it.

Other

  • Black and green olives are now in the game.
  • Sugar has been added. Used in crafting.
  • You can make alcohol from sugar and mash.
  • Pepper has been added. Used in crafting.
  • Lockpicks have been added. They are found in loot.
  • Pecan butter can be made at the press barrel. It gives a good amount of energy and health.
  • Olive oil can be made at the press barrel.
  • Mash can be made at the press barrel.

Update 17


  • Items for zone gates all save properly
  • Zone 2 development has started!
  • Golems shake player cameras when they strike the ground
  • 11 new paintings added for decorating your home
  • A new art easel is buildable from the woodworking bench, it is used to make paintings
  • You can grow potatoes, pumpkins, and carrots
  • Fixed bug where spiders could not be hit by projectiles
  • All monster spawn and fixed loot areas have been adjusted to respawn more slowly
  • Weather sounds are now affected by the master volume mix
  • Torches no longer burn wood and can only burn coal or foliage
  • You can melt sand into glass at the furnace
  • You can pickup chests and several other crafting stations by pressing Y
  • Stone axes and pickaxes last 5x longer
  • Wall torches take much less time to craft
  • All wooden structures are less sturdy
  • Potatoes level 3 now can be interacted with
  • Summon food spell generates pumpkins instead of bananas
  • Spider cave has been optimized (still more to go)
  • Floating rocks around a lake have been fixed
  • Floating stone pieces around the large skeleton ruins have been fixed
  • Removed fish that were flying through the air
  • AI creatures have been completely reworked from the ground up
  • The player model is different
