More Lore has been added to the game! Ten new pieces of lore have been added throughout the islands providing more answers (and, perhaps, even more questions) about this forsaken realm.

Spears! This new two-handed weapon type has been added and is now ready to be crafted! There is also a unique spear named ‘The Needle’ hiding somewhere in the world…
The First Dungeon: Carta Sul is ready to be explored by Savage that are not scared of what they might find in the dark underground of the world.
15 New Pieces of Lore! 14 of them are scattered about Freydalyn while the last one is located on Jormungahr.
New enemy variants have been added to the game:
Blighted E’ks have been added to Shudderwood, Freydalyn.
Glacial E’ks have been added to Northwind, Freydalyn.
Goats have returned to the game and can be found in mountainous terrain in Freydalyn.
A new unique skeleton, Yignol, can be found in the Ruins of Carta Sul.
A stronger, spear using variant of the Decayed Skeleton has been added to earlier parts of Freydalyn.
Stronger than average, spear wielding standard E’ks can be found in the forest of Eldar.

‘Eriandhor’s Cleaver’ is a new unqiue two handed axe that drops from Eriandhor.
A returning weapon from the legacy server called the “Flesh Ripper” is now hidden somewhere in the world…
The unique shield, ‘The Shield of Unity’ is a chance drop from Yignol.
Forest Giants no longer drops their Souls and the Crystal Skulls gained from them are no longer obtainable. Instead, each Forest Giant guarantees drops a unique Rune.
The portal from Freydalyn to Jormungahr now requires the 4 unique Forest Giant Runes instead of the 4 unique Crystal Skulls. All Players who had certain Crystal Skulls previously should find them converted to an equivalent Rune.
The Legendary sword, Shadowshroud, no longer drops off of Drackonus. Instead, he drops Shadowshroud’s Hilt 100% of the time, which allows dedicated Players to craft Shadowshroud via a Dragonforge and 250 Shards of Drackonus.
Shards of Drackonus now have a 10% chance of dropping off of any standard creature in Jormungahr.

Buildings Overhaul, New Traps, More Lore, and More Performance Updates!
New Features & Patch Notes:
Buildings Have Been Overhauled! Here is a rundown of everything that is changing for them in this update:
There are 8 new buildings that can be crafted by the player. They are the Stone Shed, Stone Hut, Stone Bunker, Keep, Barracks, Stone Cabin, Gathering Hall, and Stone Lodge.
All wooden buildings are now burnable. Be careful not to get caught inside once things heat up, or you may be in for a world of hurt!
All damaged buildings that pre-existed on the islands and were not player built are not repairable or destroyable.
Due to the overhaul of our building system, some players may encounter issues with pre-update saves and new buildings overlapping older, player-built structures. This issue can be fixed by simply destroying the overlapping offenders. The good news is that you will get some extra resources for your efforts!
There are specific resistances for the buildings depending on what they are made out of. Wood buildings now are meant to be chopped down with axes and stone buildings demolished with hammers.
All of the buildings have had a design pass on their health!
All buildings have more refined damage states!
More Lore has been added to the game! Now providing twice as much history to the island and its inhabitants! Players can now find various personal and historical accounts that may aid in their quest for survival. These entries may also provide some insight into events that led to the islands’ downfall and change, as well as clues how past exiles may have originally ended up there.
Two New Traps have been added to the game! These traps are the Tension Coil Skewer Trap and the Spiked Spring Trap! Both offer new ways to protect buildings that you have crafted while you are off adventuring! They may hurt a bit in PvP too!
Performance Updates are now live in the default build. We will continue to make adjustments every build to improve the experience for everybody.

New Features & Patch Notes:
Lore has been added to the game! Lore will provide some insight into the history of the islands and its inhabitants as well helpful tips and clues that can be used to increase one’s chance of survival.
Traps have been added to the game! Primitive traps can now be set by Players as an alternative way to deal damage to unsuspecting creatures and hostile players. PvE servers, use them to affect hostile enemy creatures. On PvP servers, in addition to creatures, they will also affect other Players as well. Be very careful while setting traps on PvP servers and mind where they lay, as you will be able to trigger your own traps and potentially damage yourself!
Performance Updates are now live in the default build! We completed a healthy pass on optimization this build and you should definitely find some noticeable improvement to frame rate as well as a big reduction in hitching and stuttering that many had encountered while playing. For this update we worked hard to reduce our long load times, made many improvements to the Save/Load system to speed things up and reduce in-game hitching, added adjustable settings for Water Reflections in the Options Menu to help further speed things up, and made many more general performance improvements overall. Things are definitely feeling and running a lot better now!

Traps have finally made their way to the islands Tarvhas. The first one available to be made is a simple rabbit snare.
Player Buildable Walls are available to construct and offer your shelters more protection! They come in three different varieties: Stick, Wood, and Stone.
A Collision Update has been implemented and is ready for feedback. You should see less enemies getting stuck, running into the sea or generally acting funky. Praise be to the invisible blocking gods!
New Potions are ready to be brewed! There are now 3 healing and 2 experimental potions that can offer you assistances in a time of need.
Earth Golems are now spawning on Freydalyn in the low muddy areas. These very quick and deadly elementals will provide a new challenge for those that seek them out.

Dire Cows, Infernal Ghuuls, and the return of the Compass!
New Features & Patch Notes:
The Compass is now available again to be crafted and equipped. It can be used now in your main or off hand to help guide about the Islands of Tarvhas.
Dire Cows are large but peaceful and now appear on the Main Island and Kur’s Isle. These beasts drop Cow Meat when killed which, when cooked, provides a more filling meal than other passive creature’s meat.
Infernal Ghuuls now stalk Kur’s Isle of Jormungahr at night time. Players can expect these to as strong as Grinfels and Infernal Eks.

Consumables such as Meat and Potions should no longer be affected by the type of Armor Players are wearing; heals Warmth and Health consistently now across the board.

Enemy Health Bars can now be toggled “On” in your options. This will give you the information to know if you are equipped with a weapon strong enough for the fights you are trying to pick.

Lord Drackonus is a mysterious and worthy foe that is waiting at night for you to step onto the island of Jormungahr. Are you brave enough to face him?

Flawless Items have been removed from the game entirely.
Babo Shrooms can now be found on all of the islands, eating them causes disease, grinding some up makes babo powder which cures disease, or you can soak less of them in a alchemy cauldron to make a babo potion which also cures disease.
Nightbloom flowers have returned. There is only 100 of them on the island, each character can only get them once. 5 Nightbloom flowers makes one potion of Kurere, which is the ultimate instant heal.
Healing from non bandage sources now takes WAY longer than before, instead of 7 second heals it
now takes 30 seconds to get the same healing effect.
Items that cure disease, bleeding, or poison now ALWAYS cure those effects, and do so instantly.
Poison is now low damage with a really long time frame.
Bleed is now high damage with a short time frame.
Disease is completely different now, while diseased you cannot regenerate stamina, and any stamina consuming actions you perform costs double stamina.
Cotton, Babo Shrooms now respawn after 1 game-days worth of time.
All ore nodes respawn after 1/2 game-days worth of time.
Forward movement speed for walking and running has increased.
Day and Night have been updated to make Day time longer than night time.
Art:

Weapons have different attack ranges! Hatchets are the shortest, followed by hammers, then swords and maces, and then two handed weapons with the longest reach.

Trogres wield enormous weapons and will smash anything that crosses their path. An unaware Savage that is not prepared for this fight will be no match for these mighty foes!
Grinfels must consume silver to live. If you find one and kill it, make sure to loot it for this very precious metal.
Ghuuls scurry and crawl from the shadows of the old towns to rip you limb from limb.
Infernal Eks burn fiery rage when compared to their less dangerous greener siblings.

A ‘Player Specific Item’ system is now available. This means certain items like ‘Gary’s Tattered Bag’ will be available for every player to pick up on that a server.
Torches and Dim Torches no longer provide the player with warmth.
Weapons now have piercing levels according to their type.
Silver and Gold items are now available.
Heavy Armor now has higher durability than Light Armor.
Heavy Armor now requires a Crafting Table to repair.
Light Armor can be repaired anywhere but requires the use of a Patching Kit. Patching kits are made from Needles and Sinew.
Needles can now be crafted from Human or Animal Bones.
Chests no longer have the Loot All function.
Flawless items have been removed. They will no longer drop or be craftable. If you currently own one, they are still repairable.

This update is for the Beta only. The Beta allows you to play on the Islands of Tarvhas which run on the 5.3 Unity engine. Big Changes:
New Item: Shields!
New Enemies: The Dragon Kur. The Devourer. Eldar, Thuum, Grot, and Ket are the four guardians (Forest Giants).
New Features & Patches Notes:
Shields can be crafted and used! When equipped in your off hand, shields protect you from damage. Currently, shields will range from Wooden to Steel. Shields are a great help when fighting enemies, but they do require stamina and prevent jumping.
Savages! The Dragon Kur has returned and awaits your challenge! It’s probably best to gather your friends before you take on this mighty foe! His loot drops are not yet finalized. Look for this and many other improvements to the encounter in the future.
Eldar, Thuum, Grot, and Ket are the 4 guardians of the Skulls of Power. Find them, kill them, recover the skulls and open the portal to Jormungahr to face off against the mighty Kur.
The Devourer can now be found in The Wildwoods. Killing him yields Pelts of the Devourer which can be crafted into a set of Devourer Armor.
Kruul Spawning, Opening the Portal, and The Devourer spawning all have gold chat window text that accompanies them.

Armor & Shield should now block Poison & Bleeding damage effects.
Shields will block 80% of damage unless pierced, continuing the 20% into Armor/Player.

One Handed Weapons deal roughly half the damage as their Two Handed Counterparts, however they can be swung twice as fast.
Cured, and Smoked Meats have been temporarily disabled until we get their actual crafting setups working.
A large amount of new recipes have been unlocked.

New Wolf and Kiilot attack animations.
New Skeleton movement and attack animations.

The concept of dungeons has been implemented in a very minor fashion. Using a soul of a forest giant opens a portal to a dungeon. These dungeons are currently just one room which yields a skull of power.
