Ban policy and EULA changes
We have recently added a new section in our Ban Policy.
The new section entails information regarding griefing and community raids.
As well as a new section, some changes were made on already existing sections within the ban policy.
A link to the ban policy has also been added to the EULA.

MP2 - Status Update
It has been a significant amount of time since our last correspondence and since then we have had our share of ups and downs. Our silence has been unacceptable and we hope to shed some light on the current situation within Northwood Studios.
Where is the update? - Current Issues
For those who are unaware, we have had many ongoing issues with our networking service and Unity itself. These issues include: The game failing to load, connection issues, game crashes, and Linux builds failing to work.
When it comes to Unity Builds and the bugs encountered from them, we have tried our best to deploy workarounds to these issues. We also made sure to report our problems to the Unity team directly in hopes of later builds resolving the problem. The issues given to the Unity team were confirmed by their QA staff and were forwarded to the Dev Team.
For the networking side we decided it was best to move onto another networking solution. Initial tests on the Windows version of the game showed everything to be functioning correctly. After some time though, we noticed that on a Linux server it would stop receiving data after a few minutes and cease to function. Working closely with the networking library creator, they were able to determine the problem and noted it was only in Unity version 2018.3. Unity version 2019.1 is free of this issue however another problem was found, the project would crash on startup with Linux builds due to an engine bug.
This new issue is not only affecting our game but others as well and we have reached out on the Unity forums to hopefully find more insight to the issue.
What's happening now? - The Future
With everything said, we are still actively working on the game by improving gameplay mechanics and fixing some security issues. We also have that juicy MP2 update ready to go as soon as the networking issues are fixed.

Development Update #2 - Medkits

We paid extra attention to your comments and feedback from the last announcement, and decided to give you additional peeks.
Among the new addition in MEGAPATCH II, here are a few that are currently being worked on:
Sights and Scope Update
079 has lowered the security level, allowing us access to show off the new and improved, functional Night Vision Scope and improved footage of the changes mentioned in the previous update!

Medical System Rework
Those pesky Class-D personnel chasing you around with a gun and you've taken a few hits?
Best check out how the new medical items will function so you are prepared to deal with those injuries.
Introducing the New First Aid Kit
This new item is much easier to carry around than its predecessor and underwent a statistical rework.
What’s Changing:
- A new in-game model
- New animation and sound effects
- Heals 65HP worth of damage
- A use time of 4 seconds
SCP-500
A small medical container of pills dubbed the “Panacea” for its anomalous curative effects.
For personnel lucky enough to come across this SCP item, they will be able to consume a singular pill for the following benefits:
- An instant 150HP Heal, with a further slow regen for 15 seconds*
- The ability to cure the effects of [REDACTED]
There is more content currently being worked on that will be included within the full Medical Rework. We have a few more items and SCP objects which are still currently in the pipeline.

Notice - Authentication Issues
Authentication Errors
As you may've noticed, there have been issues joining servers as of a few hours ago. We believe this is due to issues on Steam's behalf; as a result, we are unable to fix them. You may have also slow loading times to access other parts of the Steam community. Currently, this outage affects some users while it does not affect others.
We are unsure when this outage will be corrected. We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience in this matter.

Development and Community Update #1
Greetings Class-D Personnel
After a long period of radio silence, we are proud to be implementing a new schedule starting rather soon that will keep you informed of our progress.
The studio is in the process of arranging a Q&A sometime in the near future. We'll also be starting to release devblogs, getting our official streams back up and running, and sharing some content that will be heading your way in future updates!

So, what’s been happening during our radio silence? Find out below!
There is a new containment unit being delivered to the facility, rumors going around are saying it's going to be home to some special objects and items.
Don't you hate it when you've just escaped 049 chasing you down a hallway, and come across a bunch of weapons on the ground, with no bodies around? That means 049-2 are probably heading your way.
Looking for a gun with the perfect setup for the situation without needing to run to a workbench to customize it?
Well, no more will you need to pick up each weapon to see what attachments are equipped, now you’ll be able to just look and see what attachments are on the weapon.
While we're on the subject of weapons, there have been a couple of modifications to some of the sights and scopes.

The sniper scope and the night vision scope have also been through a few tweaks; however SCP-079 has restricted our access to the file, so we cannot reveal this content yet.
There has been plenty more progress than we have revealed here, stay tuned for the next announcement for some more juicy content and information!
