Update 1.1.5c
This updates the first three tutorial levels to work properly in the audio cues mode.
1.1.5a notes
This build adds an experimental feature for audible cues. This is still early in development and the tutorials won't work properly when using this setting.
Edit: Here's a video that goes over the features that have been added and how they work: https://youtu.be/_eQbcvzSJcc
There are also some improvements to narration.
1.1.5b adds a new settings screen where the audio cues can be configured.
Update 1.1.5
This update begins to add narration support to the user interface. This is still an early feature.
On your very first run of the game, you will hear a voice prompting you to turn on narration at the title screen.
The narration options are available in the accessibility options menu.
1.1.4d - crash fix
This fixes a crash that was happening when loading the first tutorials for some players.
1.1.4b - minor updates
- The game now attempts to detect when it has crashed, and will prompt the user to open the logs folder and send their logs to daniel@specialmagicgames.com
- In the editor, you can set and end-of-track position using ctrl-e or the edit menu, so the track does not need to end on the last note.
- You can now paste into text entry boxes with ctrl-v.
1.1.4a notes
1.1.4a
- Workshop preview image files can now be png, jpg, jpeg or gif.
- When updating workshop items, the game asks for an update note.
- Track editor - fixed a crash that was happening on inserting new control points.
- Added a primitive display of the game's audio limiters in the song editor. This aids in setting the (pre-amp) volume (with +/- keys). The meters show: master, low, mid, high. Red means the limiter is kicking in, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Most tracks in the game are tuned to have a fair amount of limiting, but not too much.
Update 1.1.4 - Workshop support added!
Version 1.1.4
Steam Workshop
- Added an option to upload a track to the Steam Workshop in the File menu of the editor.
- Added one new track which is available in the workshop: steam://url/SteamWorkshopPage/630640
- Currently, you will need to restart SEQUENCE STORM for your subscribed workshop items to be downloaded.
- Tracks uploaded to the workshop have leaderboards! However, making changes to the chart will invalidate existing leaderboard entries.
- Preview images for workshop tracks are set via a preview.png file in the track's folder.
Other Changes
- Free Play has been renamed to Arcade.
- Mission screen - Mission difficulty is now changed with the triggers, as many players accidentally changed mission difficulty with the d-pad. The d-pad can now be used to select missions instead.
- Challenge and Ultra mission difficulties are now always available. The tutorials have been updated to allow completing them on any difficulty.
- All 5 difficulties are always available for custom tracks, regardless of which difficulties are unlocked.
- Fixed a bug where the dedicated hyper button was usable in backtrace weapon missions.
- Made the track for Throwing Myself In The Trash easier to read.
