Hi everybody! Content Update Number 4 is here with good and not so good news.
First off the good news:
Yet again, it's only been two weeks since our last Content Update and we tried to push as much as possible.
We added another two bonus levels (canyon single- and multiplayer WIP) to the game and the second ones were made beautiful by our art department. [IMG]http://www.shifthappensgame.com/images/steam/04_content_update_04_11_2015/added_bonus_levels.png[/IMG]
The not so good news is, that we have to switch to the latest version of our engine Unity due to porting problems for XBOX One (yes, the game will one day also be on Xbox One, yay) BUT
this means that we will have to lightbake all of our levels again!
Lightbaking is a really time intensive process therefore we will not be able to keep up our 2-week-update-schedule.
That said I can't exactly tell you when the next update will be, but I can assure you we are still working on everything and I will at least try to keep you up-to-date via announcements.
We also disabled the halloween feature a little bit earlier than the 7th because of some tech-difficulties. We still hope you had a little fun with it!
So let's go with today's Update!
CONTENT

Singleplayer:
Following levels now have graphics: Forest bonus level, Canyon1-3
New Work in Progress Levels: Canyon4-6, Canyon Bonus level
Note: After this period the game will be set back to normal again!

Well, you guys are in luck because we have not moved yet (will tomorrow!) and therefor Content Update Number 3 is here without any delays!
For those of you that always wondered what these mysterious bonus objects are for, now got an answer:
We added two bonus levels (no graphics) to the game! For now you will just be able to play them without having to unlock them but as soon as our worldmap with all the unlocking mechanisms is done, you will be able to unlock those with your collected bonus objects!
It's been two weeks since our last Content Update and of course we tried to push as much as possible.

Next Content Update#3 on Wednesday maybe delayed!
Hey folks,
As some of you may have noticed, our content updates have always been on a wednesday on a 2-week cycle and we were planning for the Update #3 to be this wednesday, too.
However, due to construction works in our office space, we have to move our stuff. Working there became almost impossible because of the constant noise.
But, we haven't been told yet when we can move to the alternative space that's been offered too us, so this weeks content update might be delayed!
I hope you bear with us and we are sorry for the delay!

FIXES
Although our code department has a lot of work to do, they still manage to get quite some shift done!
General:
Fixed a lot of minor bugs
Movement of coins is now better and faster!
Fixed a squish-death bug when falling of edges while pushing
Fixed a squish-death bug when falling in small gaps
Prepared everything for hats!
Online Multiplayer:
Further improvments for interaction with small crates
Further improvments of synchronization
Menu:
New improved mode-selection when starting a game session. Should now be less confusing and more intuitive
Fixed a lot of minor bugs in menu-navigation
Solved some problems with saved level progression in the level selection menu

Next Content Update #2 and Worldmap Sneak Preview!
I just wanted to let you know that our 2nd content update will go live this wednesday, 07.10.2015!
We will have 6 new levels in total, a bunch of small fixes and improvments, and an improved selection menu!
We are also currently working on the worldmap and we'd like to show you a little sneak preview of it.
The worldmap will probably take quite some time to implement and therefore we can't exactly tell you when it's gonna be live.
Hopefully asap!
First of all, a big thanks to all of you that bought the game, had fun and gave their feedback!
It means a lot to us because it keeps us going and work hard for you guys to improve the game.
Every kind word, review and screenshot of the game empowers us as developers to bring you an even better experience.
So here we go: Our first big content update!
A lot of shift work has been done to deliver you the best shift possible!
Art Content
The devil lies in the details, also in Shift Happens.
Improvments:
Compressed lightmaps: This basically means the game is now just 3,7gb instead of ~9gb big. This is a big win :D
Coins now fly in pretty curves when collected (yay!)
Added more splash effects for water-collision, because we all like splash.
Our artists were also very busy and updated all the stylish-editor levels with a fresh look.
The level designers also got some work done and theres a bunch of new editor levels to try out for you!

FIXES
The code department did its best to squash all the bugs they could find. Some of them were really big.
Online Multiplayer:
Improved synchronization for lifting crates and the small character
The bonus-object should now be synced between host and client (no more double bonus-object)
Lives are now correctly displayed on the clients' side
Coins, poles and all liftable object should now be more reliable in general
Generally the online multiplayer should be more stable/better
Menu:
Fixed some bugs in the mode-selection and network-menu
Levelselection: challengelevels now show the correct amount of coins
Controls: walk left/right is no longer switched in german
