We have made a lot of skin fixes so that they are displayed and used correctly in the game and when building skins.
Added "cancel all" and "select all" buttons when building a skin.
Fixed the reward for drawing cards, now only for basic cards.
Eraser is now size 10 by default, and brush is size 2.
Fixed music volume, now it changes immediately in the settings.
Fixed location progress reset, now it is not reset when you go to the main menu.
Fixed the voice acting of the player's character, now the pitch affects only the sounds of the character and does not speed up the sound of the rest of the game.
Reduced the size of forest locations, they have become more comfortable.
Fixed the need to draw your character at the beginning of the game, now you don't need to draw it from scratch, just paint or draw something.
Fixed the ascension cards, removed "Silence". "Acceleration" and "Deceleration" are now applied to magic cards, not equipment cards.

Hi friends! Version 0.39 is here!
And, drum roll, we're launching a new era in the life of Sketch Crawler - now you'll be able to share everything you create in the game with the Steam Workshop.
We did this in the form of game skins, in which all the redrawn maps, voiced characters, rewritten texts and descriptions can be posted in the Steam Workshop. Players will now be able to play with all the skins to which they are subscribed in the Worshop.
IMPORTANT CHANGES AND FIXES:
Reset progress on game over - in the settings you can now choose to reset progress on locations to zero when game is over. It's for those who want a little more challenge.
Artifact "Lavoid" can now shoot fireballs only in the direction of an empty cell.
Enemies now summon a limited number of allies. This will reduce the number of summoned worms or poison bugs.
If the player stole an equipment, it will remain after the rest.
Increased the amount of experience gained for drawing cards.
Added hints when a player is first paralyzed, poisoned and when the first Equip card hits his hand.
If the player is zoomed in (with the mouse wheel), then while moving, the zoom returns to normal.
If the player runs away in the Arena, all his opponents disappear.
Added descriptions to skyboxes.
Fixed many bugs leading to freezes on loading.
Made many minor fixes to the gameplay, content and balance of the game.

IMPORTANT CHANGES
Removed the drawing mode - now it is not necessary to draw all the cards, you can use them at once. It is enough reward for motivation to draw cards.

Another improvement to the game!
Experience for drawing cards has been increased - now it depends on the level of the player. The higher the level, the more experience for drawing cards.
Changed the balance of experience - reduced the amount of experience needed to raise levels. Starting from level 7 it will be easier to gain new levels.
Eased ambushes. Now a maximum of 2 enemies appear from an ambush.
Reduced the number of traps in the levels, they will now appear a little less often.
Corrected the balance of the game, late locations have become more difficult.
Added new kind of level generation with more enemies.
Fixed the bug with the "charm attack", now the charm attack works.
Made interface fixes.
Labels on cards in the collection are brighter.
Fixed the location of the icons of abilities and equipment on the characters in the game, now they do not overlap the image of the character.
Added hints when dragging the card in the collection and when the character falls on the floor.

Write Your Story - now you can edit text in any dialog in the game. Just press Z while talking to an NPC and write your own jokes and stories.
Reshuffle cards in your hand - happens immediately after you change your deck in the collection, if you are not in combat.
Changed the start of the game - now the game starts in the basement of the bar, not in the bar.
Changed the balance of secrets in the game, now there are fewer puzzles with barrels at the beginning of the game.
Saving in Picturator - now you won't have to leave the editor while saving.
Switching in the Picturator - "Onion Skin" or "Example" are now separate buttons to make animations easier to understand.
Buttons in the Picturator - changed their places slightly to make it more convenient.
Archive in Picturator - now you can delete unnecessary duplicates from the Archive, and also renamed from the "Image Archive" to just the "Archive".
Adding a frame to the Picturator immediately switches the mode to a "Onion Skin".

What we try to achieve in Sketch Crawler?
Is it possible to mix drawing and gaming? Can comedic fantasy and user-generated content be mixed? Can there be a benefit to a computer game? Let's explore.
Sketch Crowler is a experimental game and we plan to experiment well with procedural generation, comedic cartoon fantasy and user-generated content. We think it can be fun.
Experimentation will keep coming. We're looking for a golden formula for a game that will come together into something friendly and holistic that will be a joy to play for years to come.
We don't know where it will take us. We believe that only by exploring the unmapped paths can we discover something new. Ideally, it's not demanding to hardware game, which will live, even without internet, just on the user's computer.
A little about the graphics of the game. The simplicity of the style of drawing in Sketch Crawler is our conscious choice. First, it is much more expressive and charismatic than realistic characters, secondly, it is much easier for players to add their own drawings in this world, they look more holistic, in a third, it is a meme graphics, and this supports the comedy of what is happening.
We chose a form of free play model with in-game purchases to give everyone a touch of the project and ensure its longevity. We are also looking for a good form of monetization. We know the difference between dark and light monetization and we are definitely on the light side. We think there should be a fair exchange between players and developers.
In our opinion, the phenomenon of beneficial games is an obvious fact. These games are games that develop the player and give him practical benefits in life. The game is not an escape from reality, but a way to discover your abilities and take them into the real world. This is the kind of game we see in Sketch Crawler.
In Sketch Crawler the player practices his drawing skill, the game constantly tempts him to draw. And the longer the player plays, the better he will draw. And it also develops his imagination.
