Update v0.0.87 On its way

Hello,

It has been a while since our last update but we finally got one ready for you (v0.0.87)
So first let me explain why we were silent for so long well personal stuff XD.
No but really some personal stuff was envolved but most of the time we did some background task going and cleaned a little bit of our code.

But now to the important parts (Whats new? When will it be there?):

So first the patch notes:


  • Completly removed the old fuel station and replaced it with a new one which is not completly done yet
  • Added the missing eye to the zombies
  • New Streets in the zity map
  • fixed wrong spawn location
  • You can now leave and enter the car at the main menu
  • Replaced the aircraft model with better one also Work in Progress
  • And finally to the main attraction we added a new weapon


Today i will spare you with a view to the future of the game since we are still behind our plans and working hard to get the update v0.0.90 out but i hope you like this new update and have a lot of fun with it.

Oh i nearly forgot to mention the update will be released until the 05.01.2020 just to clarify on the first of January not May.

So as said before hope you like the new update and enjoy playing and if you have some cool ideas for a new weapon that should be added just add it to the weapon wishlist in the forum.

Update v0.0.84,4 Bug fixing (preTesting)

Hi,

this is just a little bug fix update.

Fixed a bug which caused the powerups to not spawn on client's.
Also a first step has been made to fix the bug which causes the weapon to be displayed at the wrong location.

Update v0.0.84,3 (preTesting Branch)

Hi,

Today we got a new update for you, only for the preTesting branch for now but an update for the stable branch (default) will come soon.

The biggest change first we added a new weapon the MP28 hope you like it the weapon is located at the same building as the mac10.

Here is the changelist:


  1. Added an option button in the main menu to adjust the brightness value hast to be changed on each game start for now
  2. Replaced old foliage on main menu map
  3. Changed design of main menu
  4. Adjust positions of weapons for better aiming
  5. Changed ragdoll of zombies to fall better
  6. Revamped the multiplayer menu so it is now possible easy access friend list
  7. Joining and hosting via ip address is not possible anymore
  8. Implemented a pause mode which allows the host to pause the game he presses "ESC" (Clients can still move around but postion get's reset after resume game is pressed)
  9. Removed the text on the wall at the start and moved it to the info button
  10. Added a max carryable ammo limit (5 mags plus one loaded)
  11. New weapon sounds
  12. And some other visual enhancements


Bugs fixed:

  1. The G.A.U Machine should now only accept a new weapon for upgrading if none is in there.
  2. It is now possible to host again after a disconnect after dying


Known bugs:
Client weapon flys on disconnect
Client weapon get not attached correctly
Wrong bullet spawn position (Bullet trace starts to soon)
Powerups won't spawn on client
Dropped weapons don't sync the boolean
When Host is dead and client joins the game crashes on the host side
Make it possible to join through steam when game is not started

Update v0.0.83,4 (preTesting)

Hi,

We published a little update so here are the patch notes:


  1. Changed the landscape material so game will look much better now
  2. Added post processing effects
  3. Fixed the bug that when players get out of render range also no points will be displayed anymore.
  4. Fixed the bug that you can't host again after leaving a multiplayer game you hosted.
  5. Fixed a crash when you try to connect to a game


Known bugs:

  • Player can still look around when escape menu is show
  • If esc is pressed player can not fall and is flying
  • Client weapon flys on disconnect
  • Client weapon get not attached correctly
  • Make it possible that other players can join through other players instead of only the host
  • Wrong bullet spawn position (Bullet trace starts to soon) (Clientside)
  • Bullet seems to fly in slow motion on client side
  • Powerups won't spawn on client
  • Dropped weapons don't sync
  • When Host is dead and client joins the game crashes on the host side (need to be verified)


For the next update i will try to address some of the bugs listed above, if you find bugs that are not listed above please feel free to report them via Steam.

Update v0.0.83,0 (Pretesting)

Hi,

As some of you may have notice we rolled out an update for Pretesting.
Here are the patch notes for it:

Integrated steam for joining via the steam friends menu.
Added a parameter into the gamemode.xml for defining if players respawn at the end of a wave or at the start of the next one.

What that means is you don't have to do port forwarding and tell your friends your ip address because now when you press host a session will be created in which people can join through a steam invite or via pressing right click and then select join lobby.

We still got some bugs so you can't join if you don't have the game open already and other people can only join via the host. Also the lobbies are limited to 4 Players right now but that will be changeable in the future in the multiplayer section.

v0.0.82,7 Update

Hi,

I make it short this time, changes are listed below.


  • Reenabled Screamer
  • Revamped the P90 Model


Now to the stuff that will be changed next week.
Revamping the P90 further (textures, animations,aiming)
Revamping of the m4a1 stage 1

And now to the talk about the future.

So our developer Gx1|Borderfield has made his first footsteps in to the blender world and is currently not only working on new textures anymore, he also is modelling our new buildings so stay tuned for some nice pictures of them next week.

Our other developer Gx1|Dolobarsch is working on some nice new trees and foliage which will hoepfully be ready by the end of the month.

And for my part well i am currently working on many things first of all on the things listed above for the next week, designing a new map, secret stuff (Hopefully i can share some more information of that till the end of the year) ,further xml config support and integrating steamworks for multiplayer.

I hope this litte text gives you a small overview of what to expect in the upcoming weeks. Sadly there will be no updates for the game from 23.08.2019 until the 02.09.2019. But atleast the update afterwards will hopefully be bigger.

v0.0.82,6 Small update (To small for a new number)

Hi,

as some of you maybe noticed, we have released an update on monday and didn't released a patch note. I didn't done it since i was not sure if the update deseves a new version number. So i decided this time that it didn't and because we all make mistakes sometimes i forgot to update the version file so the game is now displaying 0.0.82,5 instead of 0.0.82,6.
But let us move on to the things that changed in the update. As the not changed version number indicates not much changed but here is the very shor list of things that have changed and at the end a little text about what is comming next to the game.

Changes

  • Revamped the pistol model a little bit and recreated the animations for the pistol
  • Automatic reload, you are now reloading automaticly after shooting the last bullet
  • New pistol animation / new animation slot for all weapons. Which means we now got a different animation when you are shooting the last bullet, to better indicate the the weapon is empty, currently only for the pistol.


So now to the things that are planned.
We updated our internal roadmap a little bit lately so here a some major things we are trying to archive in the next weeks and months:

  • Fixing / reimplementing the screamer zombie
  • Implement steamworks for multiplayer
  • New buildings
  • Better HUD
  • A new map
  • New animations since blender 2.8 is released now
  • Sound options


Those are mainly all things we are working on right now and are our goals to archive the version 0.0.90.

Our internal goal is to archive this version till the end of august 2019

The things that you can expect in the next version is the screamer renabled a revamped weapon, maybe a new building and you can expect that we are using the new animation also for the mac10 by then.

v0.0.82,6 G.A.U (Get an Upgrade) Update

Hi,

i am happy to announce that our G.A.U machine is now usable ingame. The machine is located at the chirch, for all other things that change see the list below.


  • Repositioned and changed the 3 easter egg items, other mesh , other locations, but you still have to shoot at them to activate the easter egg
  • Added functionality to the G.A.U machine and also edited the object.
  • Added the chirch benches back
  • When you use the G.A.U machine the weapons damage will be increased by 50% each time. (later on editable in a xml file)
  • polished some buildings
  • Changed the color of the texts in the HUD to white

For the next update we will hopefully be able to make the G.A.U system xml ready as well as revamping one weapon or maybe add a completly new one.

v0.0.82,4 Bug Fix

Hello,

This update resolves two major bugs we found, which are listed underneath.


  • Fixed a bug which results in a crash when buying a perk
  • Fixed a bug which caused a wave to never end (Zombie respawn system).
  • Changed the spawn location back into the bus.


So thats all, now that the polish week is over we will return to our usual release rythem (Next Update between 07.19.2019 - 07.21.2019 ), which is every weekend.

The next things we will be working on is the G.A.U system, as well as revamping the m4a1 and p90 model. We are also trying to get the usp45 in the right postiton for aiming.

When the revamping of the weapons is done, we will maybe let you spawn with the usp45 instead of you need to buy it first.

with this update we hoepfully killed some nasty multiplayer bugs listed below.


  • Client didn't saw blood
  • Client was teleporting (had lags) when running
