(PreTesting) v0.0.82,1 The BG Update (Blood God)

Hi everyone,

Update: We have noticed some bugs and rolled the update back from the default branch so this update is only playable in the presting branch for now.

If you wonder why the name is so shitty this time, I've lost a bet.

Jokes aside of course the name has at least something to do with the things we added to the game.

So here is what we changed since last time:


  • Added blood splatter if you hit a zombie (Thats the reason for the updates name)
  • And as promised we have added a new gun the Mac10 isn't it a beauty. Also what better way to hail the blood good then sending those Zombies back to hell with this new machine gun. Also you are able to aim with that gun.
  • We also added a bullet trail so you can see where you bullet is heading


So thats it for this week, hope you all enjoy the new weapon. Next week we will just polish some things.

v0.0.82 The GG Update (Giant Graphical Update)

Hi,

I will make short this time so here is what has changed since last time:


  • We added a whole bunch of new textures.
  • We added roaming zombies in the main menu outside the fences
  • We slowed down the day night cycle in the main menu
  • We added a pointless info button (Will have a use in later updates)
  • Because we added the info button all buttons are now really big (working on a fix)
  • We also tweaked some stuff in the background for better performance, might be not noticeable but it shouldn't have got worse by the change.


No a short list of thinks we are working on and which you can expect in the next month or so (July):


  • First of all a new weapon.
  • The G.A.U (Getting an Upgrade) machine, with which you will be able to enhance your weapon (more damage)
  • A kill overview if you press tab (Earned points, killed zombies, points spent)
  • A highscore list
  • Applying the new textures to more buildings.
  • Maybe something special for the 4th of July but we are not sure we get it ready in time, so maybe next year.
  • And much more


The new weapon by the way will make it to the update for next weak.

v0.0.81,8 The "Iconic" Update

Hello,

Today i am happy to announce that we got our next update out, which introduces some background optimizations as well as the promised despawn timers. For poweups the despawn timer is set to 40 seconds and for dropped weapons 60 seconds. We also were able to add the two powerup icons so you know when double points or quicksism is active.


Of course we also managed to get the game version displayed in the main menu so you don't have to wonder anymore if you are on the newest version.

Update (Bug fix)

Hi,

we just released a small update. The update should fix the random crash/hang of the game which is related to how we created the map.
Also we changed the textures on the hills in the background so they should be more appealing now. Also somehow the game size shrunk down to 3.9 GB due to unknown reasons.

v0.0.81,7 Quicksism (Insta Kill) Update

Hello,

First i am sorry that we were not able to publish an update last week i hope you can forgive us, we had so many things to work on so we couldn't get the update ready in time, but as you can see this time we were able to get an update out.

So let's get right to it, today i am happy to announce that our next power up got into the game which is called "Quicksism" which when activated gives you 60 seconds in which the zombies only need one hit. Like the double points power up the timer gets reseted to 60 seconds if you activate it again when the timer is still running. We also added a new grass texture.

The next update will introduce a visible version number in the main menu as well as a despawn timer for the power ups if you don't activate them. Also we are trying to get a despawn timer in for dropped weapons, as well as a icon for the actives powerups, bullet despawn after a specific amount of hits, and new textures.

Update v0.0.81,6 Double Points

Hi,

Today i am happy to announce that our first powerup got into the game.
It will drops randomly if you kill zombies (the chance is 1:50) if you walk against it you will make double points for the next 60 seconds.
If you activate another one within the time the timer get's reset to 60 seconds. In the future you will se an icon displaying if double points are active.
Also if you are to far away from the zombies they will respawn so keep the slow walkers close to you, because maybe the zombie respawns as a runner.

Hope you all like the new update. The next update will intoduce the next powerup Quicksism which reduces the zombies health to one in a specified time.

v0.0.81,5 New Perk

Hi,
Today i am proud to announce our third perk "Fast Hands" which effects the reload time of all weapons you are carrying. That means the reload time gets bisected. Also we get now a perk icon for the "Harder" perk, as well as a placeholder icon for the "Fast Hands" perk.

In the next release we might hoepfully release our fourth perk as well as some other minor changes.

v0.0.81,4 A Fix and What's coming next

Hi,
as you may have notice the animation we disabled in the update before is in the game again for some time now, we found the issue and fixed it. If you find any other issues please report them via the bug reports discussion.

So now to the fun stuff.

What's next?

  • In the last weeks Gx1|Dolobarsch worked hard to get house buidingsystem ready, which does not mean that you can build houses. But it is essential for us to quickly build houses out of small parts right in the Engine. So when it is completly done you can expect some more buildings.
  • Also we working on two different perks right one of them is the already mentioned fast hands, which if you buy it decreases the reload times of weapons you are carrying with you. The other one is quick shot, which increases the fire interval.
  • New animations will come as soon as blender 2.8 is ready.
  • A new weapon is nearly finished and just need a little bit polish.
  • Another thing we are working on right now is a new zombie spawn system for the zombie shooter which will make the game a little bit easier since the most zombies will then be spawned outside of the fence are are jumping over the fence.
  • Also we are working on the G.A.U machine.
  • We are also working on a new gameplay trailer.
  • We also hope that we can integrate our revive/bleeding out system as soon as we gets animations ready out, since the code is written and just waits to be used.
  • So as you can see big things are planned to happen, but please don't expect to much change in a short time, since we are a really small developer team and we can't sadly not work for the Game full time yet, but we will give our best to make this game a great experience.
  • And much more.

Hi,

This is a little Hotfix.
Since we published an update yesterday which was build on the new ue4.22.1 we noticed a random crash that is caused after ca 2min of playtime by an animation change event, to fix this, the update disables the animation used for the pistol.
