This time I wanted to add a division into classes into the game, after all, S.P.A.T. is a squad of operatives, each with his own role. While the devices are in test mode, but in general the classes will remain the same.

There are three classes, so online play is now limited to 3 people. Plus it's good for balance, it seems to me that it's too easy to go through the game with four people.

    The main task is to search for quest / paranormal objects, as well as search in general. Without it, you will not be able to complete quests, so one person in the squad should always be searchers.

    Specials:

    - For now, the radio tag is a rifle, but it will either have a weapon sensor or a search drone.

  • "Supporter"



    He is engaged in providing the squad with everything necessary, without it it will be difficult in dark places.

  • "Hunter"



    An optional class, you can go through the game together, but hunting helps a lot. Specifically specializes in hunting the alpha monster.

    Specials:

    - Decoy for alpha monster. Can be recharged. (It will most likely be replaced by a step tracker.)

  • Flood Light. Can be picked up. Installation costs 7 energy.
    Reduces the sanity of players in a small radius.



  • In a single player game, the bot acts as a searcher. It can sometimes bugs, but in general it works.
  • If you play as a sercher, then the bot performs the function of a support, you can order it to put on the light.
  • Bot can open doors.

GAMEPLAY


  • You can attack with a melee weapon on the button "V".
  • The decoy is recharged at the expense of the player's battery charge (Hunter), press reload button. (uses half on player energy).
  • Added triggers at starting locations when you get close to the EMF detector. Some players do not understand that quest items need to be searched with a detector.

    Also, to fix this situation, quest items can be activated by a player of any class, but they are more difficult to find, they are not highlighted.
  • If you shoot paranormal eyes, they disappear.
  • Paranormal werewolf minions spawn at over 75 sanity, not 50. And less often.



BUG FIXES


  • Fixed third person animations for EMF detector.

  • Checking out the new sanity mechanic. It decreases if you are in the dark, if you are attacked by monsters or different jump scares come out. Low sanity is dangerous - in addition to just hallucinations, monsters sense it and run to prey.

    Be in the light and the sanity will increase, the indicator light on the operator's hand will help you, red - you are in the dark, green - you are in the light.



    The battle cry causes an adrenaline rush and can help increase your sanity, but remember that screaming attracts monsters.

    Decreased sanity is indicated by a visual glitch and radio interference.
  • Interactive lights and a light switch that you can turn on to lower your sanity.



  • The first level of the sanity effect is eyes in the night. At low levels, they are not dangerous, but the lower the sanity, the more likely they are to turn into monsters.



  • EMF Detector for finding quest things (paranormal things). Detects an object from 20 meters and shows the distance and direction to it.

    The idea itself is being tested on quests so far, in the future there will be more and more paranormal objects of different types in different places.



  • New character menu.



  • Reduced weapon recoil and changed the aiming animation for better shooting control. Also, when crouch recoil is less.
  • The bot moves more realistically - walks if close to the player, accelerates if the player is far away.

GAMEPLAY


  • Many players complain about the high ammo consumption of small monsters, so the health of all minions is reduced by 5, and the damage is increased by only 0.5 for testing.

  • Because the game involves a special squad against monsters, bots are added to the single player game. Colt and Stone are two great fighters in your squad, and they also love to talk.

    For now, bots have a basic behavior that will be improved in the future. Will be added to give them commands and etc.

    So far, only one operator is available in the game - Colt. After checking the balance with two bots, it will be possible to take the second one on a mission.




  • A new special facility is the installation of a portable light. Powered by the player's energy, so collect batteries. At full charge, it illuminates everything around for 60 seconds and scares away monsters. You can pick up the light again.

Wendigo quest



The wendigo has returned to the game. The quest for him is almost ready. Remember that the monster is chosen randomly.

Be careful, the wendigo is a strong and cunning opponent. He is invisible, throws skulls that emit poisonous gas (like mushrooms) and restores health until his minions are destroyed.


Difficult single player

Also taken into account are the complaints of the players that it is almost impossible to play alone. Added more ammo and medkit spawners (check all houses) and reduced monster movement speed.
