Help Us Troubleshoot--Send Us Your Issue Logs!
Hey Vectorheads! While the big news from yesterday's Racing with the Stars Sprint Vector update was Mr. Entertainment and Princess Shran joining the race, there were also less paparazzi-worthy but no less important upgrades behind the scenes. And one of them requires your help!
Since the game launched, we've been working to squash as many bugs as possible, but we've had trouble recreating a lot of the reported issues here in the studio. That's why we implemented automatic issue log generation. If you encounter a bug in-game, we highly encourage you to send us the issue log so we can investigate further. Here's how you do it:
Make sure you've enabled "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" in your File Explorer Options.
Navigate to C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\SprintVector\Saved\Logs to find the log.
Thanks so much for helping us troubleshoot some of these annoyingly persistent bugs! We hope to take care of them ASAP using the data you provide.
Regards,
The Sprint Vector devs
Racing with the Stars: Sprint Vector v1.1 Now Live!
Ladies and gentlemen, beasts and monsters, the moment you’ve been waiting for is finally upon us…the first Sprint Vector content update has officially landed! You can download Racing with the Stars (Sprint Vector v1.1) right now.
What makes this free update so special, you ask? Why, you finally get the chance of a lifetime: you can now race as Sprint Vector‘s own charismatic master of ceremonies Mr. Entertainment! Oh, and his snarky-but-gorgeous sidekick-slash-makeup maven Princess Shran, too. But you’d better be ready to perform before you step into their vector blades–you know they won’t be able to hold back if you can’t sprint (or at least trash-talk) with the best of them!
Along with these two new playable characters, v1.1. also brings a host of updates to multiplayer stability so you can concentrate on the course, not your computer/console. Here are the patch notes:
Patch Notes for Update 1.1 (released March 8, 2018) <*>Two New Playable Characters – You can now race as two additional selectable characters: Sprint Vector hosts Mr. Entertainment and Princess Shran! Both characters, plus four skins each, are fully available to the player immediately at launch.
<*>Improved Server Stability – Implements several improvements to server stability and performance optimizations to improve multiplayer experience.
<*>Issue Logging for End Users – Log data will now be automatically generated. Logs can be found at C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\SprintVector\Saved\Logs (you’ll need to enable “Show hidden files, folders, and drives” in your File Explorer Options). Please email them to support@survios.com to help us troubleshoot!
<*>Improved AI Pathing – Implements multiple fixes to AI racer behavior throughout several race maps so that they better emulate the behavior of human players.
<*>Audio – Characters’ flying sound effects will no longer follow them into the race completion zone.
Additionally, here are the issues that we are continuing to work on:
Known Issues (as of March 8, 2018)
[MULTIPLAYER] Players occasionally get stuck on a black screen when loading into multiplayer matches. If this occurs, you can wait for the current race to complete; visibility will return when they load the next race. If this happens when loading into a private match lobby (Skate Park), you must exit and restart the game.
[GLOBAL] On occasion, game audio will not be present after loading into a level.
[MULTIPLAYER] Players will sometimes lose speed lines and aim assist cones after passing through power-up orbs.
[MULTIPLAYER] Players sometimes get stuck on an endless multiplayer loading screen. Workaround: Bring up your Windows date and time settings to make sure that "Set time automatically" is turned on.
[OCULUS] Oculus users experience strobe effect on loading screens. Workaround: Turn on "Rift Core 2.0 Beta" found in the Beta tab of Oculus Home settings.
And be sure to enter our fourth weekly challenge, which is the fastest--and most delicate--yet. Are you prepared to race with no limits in hardcore mode? Get all the details and enter now!
Upgrading tomorrow...
Weekly Challenges: Kick Off March with Week 3!
Greetings Vectorheads! Last week's coin-collect challenge on The Premiere turned out some fierce competition, as it proved a diabolically difficult time to beat! But since this is the beginning of March and we're lapsing back into that last bit of winter gloom, we'll take it a bit easier on you--but still warm you up at the same time.
For our third week, you must navigate the Trip Hop solo challenge map on Time Trial mode!
When you've achieved your top time--you must beat a time of 1:10 to qualify --submit your official entry using the form on this blog (we can't link to Google Forms through Steam, apologies for the inconvenience). Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 4, at 11:59pm PST and are limited to one per player. However, if you put up a better time after you've already submitted, don't fret: you can update your existing submission with it.
Since Mr. Entertainment doesn't want things too complicated, the fastest time each week wins! These challenges are only going to get more difficult as the weeks go by, so consider this your training regimen for the Master League. Good luck, have fun, warm up, and stay hydrated!

Hotfix 1.01 Now Live!
Hey everyone! Based on player feedback, we've put out a quick hotfix to address a reported issue on both Oculus and Vive:
Grip/Trigger Cancellation Issue: Players who use the “Disable Brake” option will no longer experience the issue where holding the grip button cancels inputs on other buttons. This will allow players who use “Disable Brake” to still race in maps without accidentally pressing the grip button.
Thanks so much, and we're continuing to work on squashing the bugs you report. Please keep them coming by emailing support@survios.com, posting in our forums, or sharing on Discord.
