Moon Bases & Mining - Status Update
Time flies and we are already in October, but there's still no Moon Bases or Moon Mining on the live side. You're probably wondering why, even though we were targeting late September for these next big updates. Here's a rundown of where these two features are in terms of progress:
Moon Bases
Moon Mining

On the PTU side, Moon Bases can be built, but similar to normal player stations, they still have some bugs that need to be ironed out. The moon surface is mineable, but the deformation only shows to the miner and not others, and the progress is not permanent yet. We are mainly working on the backend server implementation that will allow moon mining to create persistent holes in the surface that will also be synced with everyone. Once that is done and the other configurations are made, we should be ready with Moon Mining to be pushed out to the live side.

It's an unfortunate second delay for Moon Mining & Bases, as we know you're all anxious to get your hands on new content. Once this does hit the live servers, new and previously unobtainable ore materials will also become available so it should be worth the wait!
Note: This is a delay to Moon Mining & Bases, but not necessarily the other big features like Capital Ships and Station Siege. In fact, we'll have some more news soon...

A bug fix fixes one certain issue. It does not fix the entire feature. These notes never should be seen as a promise that a feature is fully fixed.
Player Stations
Fixed an issue that caused Player Stations to be uninteractable in certain cases
Fixed an issue where items bolted to the Factory Hall Areas became detached and eventually disappeared
Gameplay

Known Issues
Note: some of the issues were already in the previous live version.
Multiple players using a Resource Bridge simultaneously trying to transfer ores to their Station Storage via the right click context menu can cause the Player's Station Storage to become locked up - Restarting the game fixes this and the Station Storage becomes usable again
Cabling and Piping inside Factory Hall Areas does not properly work for items that are not directly connected to each other via bolts
Beams cannot be welded to other Beams that have been bolted to Factory Hall Areas
Unwelding Station modules places them incorrectly to Player's Storage instead of Station Storage in certain cases
Easy Build Mode object placement does not always work inside Factory Hall Areas

Added new research modules (Lamps & Passenger Chair) and lots of new modules
Replenished some of the asteroids at the Origin Safe Zone
"Warp Class" was removed from the game and replaced with more accurate "Ship Strength Factor". Ship Strength Factor is a value representing the weakest bolt connection throughout the ship. Warning boxes will appear where weakest connections are found. The Ship Diagnostic Scanner will show StrengthFactor instead of WarpClass from now on as well. - Ship shop ships that have YOLOL using "WarpClass" device field will no longer receive any values from it. These need to be updated to use the correct device field in their YOLOL chips.
Partially empty containers e.g. fuel rods, propellant tanks and weapon magazines can now be filled with crafting
Known issues
We have three reported instances of station being stuck in LOD, ie. not being accessible - At least one report is prior to this patch, so the issue may have been there already for a long time - If this issue happens, we would need any information regarding the issue, as we have been unable to reproduce it. Instead, we are working on a failsafe which will fix the issue. Until the fix is out, stations stuck in LOD remains so. - Please note that it is a known fact that stations are not completely fixed with this patch.

Hello all Starbase players!
As many of you may already know, we are unfortunately behind on schedule with our big feature updates. Bugs and the numerous launch issues have pushed back our development schedule. We wanted to share an updated roadmap with new estimates to give you a better overview of our development.

A summary of the delayed key features:
- Moon Bases & Mining were targeted for August, now planned for end of September - Capital Ships were targeted for August, now planned for October - Social tools for companies were targeting September, now planned for October - Station Siege was targeting September, now moved to November
As mentioned in last week's announcement, we'd rather not rush these features into the live build until they have been thoroughly tested. You can expect them to make it to the PTU earlier though.
We appreciate your patience and feedback and hope to get back on track to deliver on our promises.

Fuel Rod is emptied if the ship owner does not host the ship he owns and picks up and re-inserts a Fuel Rod to an active Generator
The Fuel Rod will appear as 0 capacity for both players, capacity indicator being empty for the current host, but not for the owner - This issue can be fixed if the ship owner picks the Fuel Rod up again, restoring the fuel to it - However, if the current host picks up the Fuel Rod instead, it will be permanently emptied
Craft ready pop up incorrectly shows the next item icon in crafting queue, if one exists

Players gradually heal when inside a Safe Zone
New Market Station added over 300 km deep into the belt, includes: - Auction House and very low 2% tax. This AH is not connected to Origin AH's. - All ship shops - Easy Build Hall - Ship Design Workshop - Refill stations - Insurance transfer with limited 100 km range - 50 km permanent safe zone - Notes: - This station does not buy ore or items. It's only meant for player trading. - The station is located in the bottom area of the belt. You need to be mid-way from Origins to get the transponder to show, at approximately 200 km out. - There will initially be asteroids inside the safe zone. This is intended, as players seeking a brief refuge for mining can mine in safety until the asteroids are depleted. Note that you need to first get to the station to benefit from this. Also the station is not located in the highest tier asteroid zone.
