Milestone Update 67 Incoming – Offline and More...

Hey Guys,

Hope everyone is ready to enjoy the holiday season ahead! We have some very exciting news on our end – after over a month of work we are getting ready to release the 67th milestone update – and it`s a big one! We are expecting this update to go live towards New Years, and it truly transforms the way you play Stars End.

Now let’s go over some of the biggest features of this update.

Offline Singleplayer

Thanks for your patience with this, I`m happy to say that it`s finally here. Offline singleplayer will allow you to play Stars End with local saves, completely offline. We`ll be reworking some of the solo game rules as well to make offline singleplayer play differently than the online main game.

Reworked Game Hosting

This update will also include new approach to hosting your own personal servers that doesn`t require setting up My SQL. Players will be able to host a new server with just one click from the main menu. You can invite your friends for a true CoOp experience, craft your own solo experience in sandbox mode, or host dedicated servers visible for other players with your own game rules.

New Official Global Servers

In addition, we are launching a number of new official global servers with various game rules. These will offer players a fresh start, as well as bring variety of gameplay experiences. For example, we are including hardcore PvP servers where loot is plentiful, crafting is easy and experience becomes almost a battle-royal. We`ll also include variety of PvE servers with various degree of difficulty.

Crafting Balancing & Item updates

Aside from these major features this update also includes a major rework of all of the in-game items. We have updated hundreds of lines of text - with most of the items in game – be it vehicles, weapons, or resources getting new lengthy descriptions, as well as re-balanced to fix a lot of issues with crafting (yes -oil, plastics e.t.c is just a tip of the iceberg in this total rebalance)

Countless Fixes and Improvements

This update also comes with a lot of fixes and improvement across the board, too many to mention now, but looking forward to typing in an impressive list of update change logs next week!

As always – we are forever grateful for our community support, and can`t wait to share this milestone update with ya all.

P.S. Something else of note to mention – we have added a new gameplay Trailer to the store page, that shows the game`s improvements over the past 2 years. The progress is well visible next to the older long trailer that we kept for now. We plan to rework that long trailer over the next two weeks as well with all new current footage.

Update 66.5 - Localization

Hey Everyone,

With today`s update we are finally adding full localization support. All of Stars End`s text has been translated into French, German, Russian and Simplified Chinese. Please keep in mind that this is the first draft of the translation and additional work is being done to proof-read and improve the translations. There are several thousand lines of text, so it will take us a little while before everything is perfected.

In the future we intend to support more languages as we get closer to release next year, but meanwhile these four additional languages cover vast majority of our players countries of original. Also - if you notice any problems with some of the translations in your native language - you can let us know on our forums, and we`ll be sure to correct it.

And with that said – we are pushing forward with completing work on offline single player as well as simplified self-hosting without any extra steps. Thanks for your patience - and as always – forever grateful for you support!

Keeping updates notes very short this time around, as it`s mostly about new languages:

  • Added Language Selection to the game`s options and in-game menus
  • Simplified Chinese translation added
  • French translation added
  • German translation added
  • Russian translation added
  • Fixed various issues with Cryo Ship where players would fall to the ground while exploring some areas
  • Various improvements to the Cryp Ship NPCs and rooms
