Future Plans and Thanks for Support

Hello to everyone. I hope your day is going well.

Stay Alive: Apocalypse has been released a month ago. In this one month, eight updates were made and a lot of features came.

Some of you remember the first times in the game. The save games are problematic, the buildings are became invisible, using the vehicles is a complete torture... The list goes on. Most of issues have now been fixed. This was happen with your help. Thank you.

Of course there are still bugs and I hope that they will fixed in time. As you know, there are many systems in the game. I do updates on continuous systems and this affects other systems as well. Something that works can be bugged later on. Unfortunately, after every system change, it is impossible to test the whole game from start to finish. I also thank you for your patience in this regard.

In this announcement I wanted to give more information about the game. First of all, if you think that the price of the game is expensive, I have to make some explanations. I will not take refuge on a pretext like there are much less featured but more expensive games. The price of the game was determined by considering discounts (just like all other games).

However, the main purpose of the price is: some of the income will spend in the development of the game. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to handle everything alone. I am planning to have more professional people pay for work that is difficult or time consuming for me. (NPC models, qualitiy textures, professional sound effects, quality animations ...) Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Although uncertain, I also think about kickstarter project. I will announce on this in the future.

If all the plans go smoothly, at the beginning of 2019, I hope Stay Alive will literally be a "real survival game".

Version EA 2.01

You can play old save files with this version. (after version EA 2.00)

I would recommend you to use a new name when opening a new game.

Main Features

  • Custom saves added (only file backup is making, the record file with character name will be replaced with every load and save)
  • The Pathfinder system has been changed. More performance-friendly and more accurate now
  • The Valentine's Day Special: now the same sex can be chosen as spouse and can be asked as spouse
  • Vehicle Mirrors (Separated from normal mirrors), Mouse InvertX, Mouse InvertY, Show All Terrain (shows all terrain, not only 2.5 km range) settings added.


Features

  • New vehicle: Ambulance
  • Small police station, big police station, bad guns: the room systems have been updated and new diversifications have been added.
  • Exploded vehicles can now be breakable
  • The lifting jack was added. You can reposition a vehicle nearby as long as lifting jack is in your inventory

Main Features

  • Saving system and region management system changed
  • A random village creation system was added. There are 20 villages you can visit (Village buildings and village houses are added, diversity can be increased in the future)
  • "Map safe areas" were added and changes were made in the zombie spawn system. When you are sleeping on an object, the surrounding area is always marked as safe. The number of spaces was limited so that performance issues and safe areas could not be constructed by carrying a bed and sleep always. Also, safe areas can be made visible on the map

Thank you so much for your help so far. You have made great contributions in the development of the game.

The new update will be coming a little late. It coming with "EA 2.0"
Old save files will not be playable with the new update. Sorry for that.

But why? Because new update coming with a new saving system and region management. New update will include:


  • Region saving system changed
  • Villages will be added
  • Big issues like can't opening save files or can't loading vehicles will be removed (Hopefully not happen again)
  • New objects
  • Lot's of fixes

  • The problem of can't cutting objects - Fixed
  • Added to the plug. It can be found or produced. You need to add a plug first to fill the bathtubs.
  • The compass was added. If you have a compass in your inventory, you can see a larger area on the map. The area you see depends on the quality of the compass.
  • Special abilities can change with arrow keys (no longer mouse scroll)

Version EA 1.06

If the screen freezes after "Unity Logos", please restart your computer and try it again. Sometimes unity may have problems with another running program.

If problem continues, go to "My Documents" folder and open the "Stay Alive Apocalypse" folder. Delete the file named "Ayarlar.xml" then try again.

  • Keymapping added.
  • Fixed problem playing recorded voices (This is still in testing phase, it will be effective in new games.)
  • You can drive vehicles with third person view. (With Left Shift key)
  • If you are holding a pen and you have a notebook in your inventory, you can change the names of objects (You can use to find out what objects you have in your containers. You can't rename objects which you can take it)

  • Increased efficacy of first aids (will be effective in new objects)
  • The motorbike has been reactivated (it was turned off due to vehicle problems, but it is still not very stable due to its size)

Known Issues

  • The hood etc becomes invisible when using the vehicles for a while. They can visible again when you stop the car and turn the engine off.
  • Objects in the garbage truck container are not saved.
  • The character sometimes appears to be walking, but the crouch mode remains. Pressing the crouching key again solves the situation.
