So I was made aware of a two bugs in the discussions section, thank you for letting me know. I have added fixes for them anyways in this update.

  • Load Game never says correct faction name
  • Zoom only supports number key +- and not the other +-

Hey All!

There is another update going live today with a few small changes within it for some UI elements.

  • Added basic support for Italian, it will need more work though.

  • Fixed issues with the population Male title not being visible
  • Fixed various text resizing issues on various resolutions

Hey All!

So as I had mentioned in my previous post, a new update will be going live in a few minutes with various fixes and support for battle history on the map.

Features



  • Map Battle History, the bones of the fallen armies are clickable.


Fixes



  • Armies meeting in battle, loser army not stopped, merely invisible.
  • Armies meeting in battle, victor not suffering losses.
  • Issues with mercenary defending when certain events happened.
  • Over 200 water tiles were not labelled as water, allowing troops to walk across them.
  • Troops not retreating when alliance/truce declared
  • Re balanced various population problems.


Hope you all like this update! The next one I have planned I am calling the Graveyards update. You will notice each city has a graveyard, well I want to see can I give every town/city one as well and have it grow in size as people die.

Next Update - A little bit of history! :)

Hey All!

First of all, thanks to everyone who has been reporting the issues and playing Tales of a Spymaster. I am happy to help deal with any issues asap :)

So I have a new update going live tomorrow which will have a number of very important bug fixes, but I have also added a new feature which I am going to tell you about now.

When armies meet in battle and one dies, there is nothing to remember them by, I want to change this a little. First of all, there will now be skeletons added to the map where an army has fallen.


And to add to this, they can be clicked and you can learn a little about the combat that took place here. The kingdoms involved, the total losses, what turn it was on and who was victorious.


The world itself is a bit dull and lifeless at times, so in time I hope to add a bit more life and history to it through updates like this. In the following update, I shall also add this logic to armies who fail in capturing a location. You shall start to see fortresses really show their defensive quality then! :)

I shall release this update tomorrow hopefully and as always, if you have idea about things, please do let me know! :)

Just to let you all know, a new update is going live which has some important fixes in it.

  • Zoom control via mouse wheel

  • Fix load game issues
  • Fix rare issues with saving game
  • Fix issue with killing last member of a royal family
  • Fix issue with kidnapping the last member of a royal family
  • Fixed issue with several game events being skipped

New Update Going Live!

Hey All!

So I have another update going live now with a rather significant code change in it relating to population growth/decline.

Fixes



  • Fixed incorrect tutorial achievement
  • Changed child growth algorithm
  • Changed adult growth algorithm


These may seem like small changes but the population one is a rather important one. Now we properly track the age of the population in a location and it makes it easier to handle birth, ageing and dying. Note, this may take time to tweak so if you feel the population is growing too slow of fast, please let me know! :)

Update Going Live

Hey All!

So there is a new update going live now that has significant code changes relating to the population end of things. Based on my testing I have not found any issues but there is always an element of risk with these level of changes.

Fixes



  • Fixed water pathfinding around Apria
  • Fixed issues with immortal elderly


The children and adult code will also need changes to be in line with this new approach but I will get to that in a future update.

Update Incoming! :)

Hey All!

So nearly 1 week since release and there has been a lot of updates since last Friday. Hopefully by now everything is starting to feel a bit smoother and more playable anyways.

So another update is going live now which contains various other fixes.

Fixes



  • AI having problems releasing poison
  • AI having problems releasing a plague
  • Problem with loans being saved
  • Problem with loan data being lost during loan saved game
  • Problem with increasing loan amount causing an error


In the next update which will be tomorrow, I aim to fix the problem with the senior members of the population not dieing off, they somehow seem to be immortal. All these people in turn lead to increased tax income and what not.

Hey All!

So an update will be going live in a few minutes which contains several significant fixes and changes within it.

But first of all I want to thank Tonya9630 for sharing several save files with me as they showed me some of the issues you are all facing.

Feature:



  • Delete save game from main menu load screen


Fixes:



  • Fixed issue with hostages when saving/loading hostages
  • Fixed TBD text in failed to make loan payment notifications
  • Fixed issue with new go to character scroll showing when it shouldn't
  • Fixed adding an heir to the throne game freeze mid-turn
  • Fixed periodic issue with mass family death upon game reload
  • Partial fix to stuck armies. The root cause is when an army is retreating.
  • Fixed issue with court members losing their target
  • Added safety check around the archive list before saving, just in case


Hopefully, with this update, things might start to get a little bit more stable. Still a lot of open bugs which I will address as soon as I can :)

New Update Going Live!

Hey All!

So another update is going live in the next few minutes which contains 2 important things.


  • Go to court member button when investigated
  • Fixed the broken tutorial


You will notice the second update listed there. It seems the tutorial has been broken in the past 36 hours due to one of the several updates. For any of you who have tried the tutorial and got stuck due to this, I apologize. A pity I didn't know about it before seeing some negative reviews because of it but I will know better in future to retest the tutorial before making an update so.
